Needed new remote control for netgem box. First person I spoke to, was not helpful at all. Next day spoke to a different support person who very promptly posted item . Was most helpful and obliging.

I didn’t previously have a TV service as I am a single parent on low income and couldn’t afford Sky or BT that’s in my area. The Netgem service gives me and my daughters more to watch for only £10 a month. My girls love watching Brat TV and over Xmas I took ideas from the crafts channel which were cheap to do at home with them

I purchased my Netgem TV subscription about 3 months ago as I was looking for a TV service that I could take out of my house. I regularly travel for work so it’s nice to have everything I need in one place as some of the places I stay only have mainstream TV or the set isn’t smart enabled. The games are a hit with the nieces and nephews which is a bonus!

Netgem TV’s plethora of quality content options is quite amazing considering the price!
I can watch what I want, where I want and when I want.
Also my little siblings love the games! It keeps them entertained

A large choice of channels and easy navigation. The price is the best on the market. In fact I find Sky very expensive compared to Netgem TV who have a faire price and a very good customer service.

Great array of channels covering different genres on top of standard freeview. I particularly like the Jazz and classical music channel. My 5 year old grandson loves the games. Great value for money as I could no longer afford my previous provider.

Runs well, apps up to date, easy to use, inexpensive, love it!

Netgem TV is a great service. The content is comparable to the big names and much cheaper than what I was paying before. Navigation is simple and clear too which always helps. It's worth the money, without a doubt.

No Disney plus app is a deal breaker, its all the kids watch and for whatever reason netgem has everything bar disney plus. Sorry but not good enough.

Great Alternative to Pay TV
I have had my Netgem box for a little over 6 month now and to me this is the best alternative to Pay TV.
I Love how it is easy to use and navigate around. I can easily find all my favourite channels and streaming all in one place.
It has channels I haven't seen elsewhere, which enhances my viewing experience. On top of that, Netgem keep on adding great channels for the same low price (I believe they recently added ITVX which is full of great content).
The box itself is really small and discreet. It fits perfectly in my flat and doesn't take up much space unlike my previous box. The installation is also very intuitive and quick.

This deal ended up being much better for my needs than I expected. There's loads of channels I didn't have before and being able to record is a nice touch (though personally I'm mostly streaming shows). Navigation is simple and clear too which always helps and though I understand some people wish it came with Netflix or Disney+, for me it's not a problem as those apps are already built into my smart TV (or on my devices). It's also nice that the physical box is neat and slick and doesn't take up loads of space like my old Sky box or other equipment. The setup was amazingly easy too - always good to have less wires and not more!

Very disappointed with the Netgem box Talk Talk sent me, not user friendly, can only record one programme at a time and not watch live tv while recording. Having to pay extra for channels that I don't watch. Even the screen with the channels on isn't very clear. Get most frustrated each time I put the tv on. My old Huawei box was so much better.

Extremely disappointed with replacement Netgem 4K TV set top box. This 4K box is totally inferior to my prior DN372T set top box as the 4K box has only one tuner and cannot record 2 channels at once also, does not have a hard drive so cannot directly record. I purchased an external hard drive only to realise the box can only record one programme at a time onto the hard drive and only whilst watching the respective channel. Netgem refer to "Catch up" TV however, I watch programmes which are not always on Catch Up TV. I consider this box to be a retrograde step with a substandard offering whilst including many channels already available on Smart TV's. This box is totally unsuitable where two people want to record programmes being transmitted at the same time on different channels. Verdict : A poor performer.

I got my NetGem 4K box via TalkTalk as my smart TVs will no longer run catch-up services and can’t be upgraded.
Generally, the box works well, is easy to set up and does what it says. The NetGem support guide is particularly useful as TalkTalk offer very little information on the unit. Please note TalkTalk, a reference to this in the TalkTalk instructions would be useful.
Would I be happy to buy one now I have used it? Probably yes, hence only 4 stars, because of the recording aspect.
Firstly, only being able to record one tv channel seems mean and a backward step.
Secondly, only small pen drives appear to be usable as the recording medium despite the specified 1TB storage limit. USB HDDs and SSDs will not work and no where is this issue stated. This is important as most other tv boxes are happy with all three storage devices.
To upgrade your old “smart” TVs this would be a great option if the recording could be sorted.
Warning:
This seems to apply to all makes too; Sony, Panasonic, TechniSat, etc, but remember if your box fails you loose access to all your recordings; they cannot be read on even an identical model. This rarely is seen in the small print of recorders.

Persuaded to "upgrade" by Talktalk. What a mistake. No record facility built in, only via USB and then can't watch one while recording another channel. Previous box had built in record and could watch one while recording two others. If this is progress, take me back to 405 lines in black and white.

The tv box itself is great but it is missing a few essential apps such as Netflix, Disney+ and Nowtv it really needs to get these onboard if it is to become the tv box it wants to be.
The extra channels are constant repeats and mostly adverts this isn't netgems fault though so i can't really downscore them for that.
No built in harddrive is a bit of a downer too and only being able to record 1 via a usn device channel the channel you are watching.
Also the ethernet port seems to not be a giganet port so it's capped at 100mbs however using the 5G wireless will give speeds of upto 500mbs.
I really hope Netgem gets the essential apps it is missing as the potential is there for it to become a leading tv choice.
I got mine via air broadband and for £7p/m it certainly is value for money considering the included Viasport channels alone would cost £14.99p/m to get via other providers.

Massive step backwards from talktalk youview. When upgraded I was not advised by talktalk that you needed a usb stick to record. After investing in a usb stick finding out you can only record the channel you are watching!?!
Please listen to customers feedback we want to be able to record!!!! Not all programs are available to watch on demand.
Adding anything to the watchlist can only be done backwards looking, so you cannot add new series or shows to watchlist until after the first episode had aired - this is really frustrating
When pausing live tv it then skips/jump and crackles when playing back
Also slow to respond when pressing play/pause etc - and freezes
I feel this technology has gone back several years - very disappointed and gutted to be trapped in a 24 month contract. Sky will be getting a new customer once I see this through!

I’ve enjoyed my time with Netgem.tv but as I don’t think I will be staying with 3 mobile I expect I won’t be able to afford to be a netgem.tv customer, but thank you for the 5/6 years I’ve been with you and enjoyed the varied streaming and catch up programmes.
