I submitted an order for a copy of my birth certificate. They immediately withdrew almost $300 from my account for the order and insisted I submit a copy of my ID for verification. A second request was made for two copies of official mail to verify my address. The address on the ID provided matched the mailing address in the order request. I asked to cancel the order within 24 hours because I was uncomfortable with the about of personal information requested and the request to submit that information to a general email address. I spoke to a representative who told me I needed to fill out a cancel request form which would be reviewed by their special team and I would be informed within 3 days by email if a refund could be made. I asked to speak to a supervisor when the service rep told me he would send me a copy of their refund policy after I completed the cancellation form. He said he would transfer me to his supervisor and hung up on me. I called back and left a message. Another representative called me and said they were only a call center. The next day I received an email indicating that although I had not submitted their cancellation request form, no portion of a refund could be provided because they had already started my request. The organization was unprofessional. They would send an email and follow up with a phone call within four minutes later. They collected my social security number, front and back of my passport and two forms of official mail. The customer service department could not answer any questions but made requests for more and more information. Furthermore, this group insists they are not a government agency and refuses to provide even a partial refund or alternative way to submit the materials they request.

There are other businesses that offer these services. I regret using this one. I'll update this review if I actually receive the birth certificate I ordered.

Website easy to navigate. All info is there and if something is missed it shows what it is and that it needs to be changed before order is completed.

this company is nothing but a scam, they will take your money and not render any service for you, they tell you there is nothing they can do, save yourself, and never ever ever purchase anything through this company, these people make a profit from being scammers

Website is very clear and easy to use. I was able to order a document from outside the US without a problem. The 100 day processing time seems very long. Hopefully the document will arrive much sooner!

Actually I wouldn't use this company. This is my second review. Recently after reading my review this company contacted me and said they would refund my money,in exchange I had to take down my review. I would post the actual email they sent me if I could. There practices are terrible. I told them I would not change my review of them.

Have submitted all final paperwork and still has not been processed by the state for a week

Zero stars if I could. This company is a complete ripoff. I was able to get my money back through my credit card company but they have been calling for over two months leaving messages. I finally blocked them. BBB gives them an F rating. They ask for your SSN when you fill out their forms which they should never do. VitalChek is the only company you should use for copies of death certificates, birth certificates, etc.

Easy to navigate website. It is easy to order the documents that I need. I wish I could get the documents sooner.
But, overall I had no problems with my orders.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Placed order, cancelled 2 hours later, they continued to process file and charge account.

They even called and left voicemail asking why I cancelled when it asks you on their site "reason for cancellation." That is their way of bullying you into keeping the order.

Also, the cost was 600% more expensive then requesting the birth certificate through the state's resource.

Update :::: written a review on National record before over my 8/1/2023 dealing with this company so please read my review back in 8/1/2023 over my $168 birth certificate I ordered and then cancel one hour later and been through hell trying to get a refund..
Well my Update information ::::4/14/2024 the scam company National record company sent my birth certificate through the mail after 9 months from 8/1/2023 I just can't believe a company can be so stupid so please write to your place of birth to get a copy of your birth certificate or anything else you need .please DO NOT USE THIS Company. This site screams SCAM

I ordered birth certificates for my son and I, provided all the required/requested info, including a copy of my DL, our SSN's, parents names at birth, submitted and paid. The following morning they send me an email stating more action is required, and I had to provide my mothers maiden name. They didn't ask for that they asked for "mothers name at time of birth" there was no where for me to "securely" provide that information. I logged into "my account" that I created when I ordered, and there is no where for me to submit this info. I called the (202) number- a Washington DC area code, and every option that I selected sent me to a voicemail box. I explained to them that I would not be emailing that sensitive info, if they could not provide me with a secure way of giving that to them they would need to cancel my order. A lady called me back from "Miami" - caller ID said it was the 202 area code, and she informed me that the company was based in the UK, not in the states as implied on their website. She said I was not eligible for a cancelation or refund as my "account" was already opened. Now I am going back and forth with them about canceling my order, and "Janet" emails me to tell me that if I just to dispute the charge with my bank the intend on tarnishing my credit report.... Uhhhmmm excuse me? They can't do that, or can they, as now they have ALL of my personal information.
What she said in an email:
"Kindly note that raising a dispute with your bank without attempting to resolve your issue directly with our support team will negatively impact your credit rating. We have established protocols to ensure fair resolution, and we ask for your cooperation in following these guidelines to avoid any unintended consequences."

It was very simple to do and took very little time

Online order was easy and smooth. Cannot comment on the delivery of the document yet.

Way to expensive. Absolutely ridiculous. Why is there a $40 shipping fee for a piece of paper.

If I could I would give them a negative 50. This place took my ID, my credit card, my birth date, my parents info, my SSN. I told them I wanted it canceled when within 3 hrs they said they wanted more information. Then I am told it can't be canceled cause irs already open. People I am going to get my money back its called product order not received. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE FOREIGNERS AND HAVE NO BUSSINES DOING ANYTHING FOR AMERICANS.
