I would NEVER use this company for dental insurance. My wife had total extractions and implants on 2/13/24. Before submitting the claim I called and told them that I had 2 1/2 pages of services and codes from the dentist that would not fit on the standard ADA claim form they require you to use as it only has 10 lines. I was told to copy and send it along with the form and write "please see attached" in that small box. I never heard back. I went through a nightmare just trying to reach someone. M of O uses 3rd party people to handle claims. After a month of not hearing anything, I was told they had NO record of any claim ever being submitted. After being transferred to 4 different people, I was told that MofO automatically rejects any claim that does not fit perfectly on the ADA form. No one ever called me to say why the claim was not being processed. The first time I called I was told to select "1" and they would call me back. Never did. Today I was on the phone for almost 2 hours while I was being transferred to the wrong people who covered "group" coverage. This was an individual policy. This is a horrible company. The phone maze kept putting me in a loop having to reenter the same information over and over again. They deserve to have a complaint filed by the Consumer Protection Division of the Attorney General of Texas. This is TOTAL BS.

I joined with Mutual of Omaha four years ago and called to see if I could withdraw some money and they told me that I only have about $75.00. They said the first three years, the money that I spent every month, that they withdrew, goes Only to them.
They never disclosed that to me in the beginning. How dishonest they are.
Shameful of them.
Don’t do business with them, they only rip you out of your money and service and they are dishonest because they Never told me all that money They took out of my Chase account would Never be for the service they advertised for. All that money for three years was just for them.
I received a flyer from mutual of omaha life insurance. It sounded interesting until I saw a bold print so that everyone would notice. Full payout when you reach age ,120. According to government statistics there has only been one person in the u s reach the age 120. I find this to be bogus and false advertising.Stay away from them. What else are they trying to deceive people on.
I have a prescription medication supplement and have nothing but issues with Mutual of Omaha since my sign up period in 01/2024-this is in addition to Medicare.
Three expensive prescriptions have been negligently handled even though the company had a complete list of my prescriptions from day one.
Do the math…..if Mutual denies or delays of 100k prescriptions, how much money do they save in the short term. One day Mutual blames the doctors and then the next day they blame the pharmacy-today they are blaming the Federal Govt. rules!!
RUN FAST FROM THIS COMPANY-THEY HAVE BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES AND THEY CAN POTENTIALLY DAMAGE YOUR HEALTH!
Word of advice - when mailing in a claim, send it CERTIFIED RETURN RECEIPT, b/c magically my claims are never received. Convenient, huh? Also could we possibly come into the year 2024 and be able to upload claims directly to the website? I swear this company will do anything to not pay a claim. Do better.
I'd give this company a zero if possible. Agent Denise Socher was completely unavailable and never contacted me in a timely manner. She lied and told me my short term disability claim would begin 4 months after my car accident claim was submitted. I submitted all paperwork and they made me pay my premium while they waited for a doctor review. They NEVER spoke to my doctors and they STOLE MY MONEY. This company is a scam. Don't get any disability insurance from them.

Life Insurance Agents, Customers & Potential Customers BEWARE!!!
This company will rescind an application for Life Insurance in a Heart Beat but they don't do a detailed check on a potential customers' Medication History because I as an Agent Found out last year after my client's claim was denied after he paid every premium on time for 19 months. They claim he did not answer a question properly but they failed to investigate the client in detail before approving him. They refused to pay a claim, left his wife in despair and rescinded the entire policy and sent a tacky letter that said "had they known, they would have never given him a policy" So why is it they didn't know??? You are underwriters that is your job to check prescriptions history. As I mentioned, they said in all honesty, they don't have access to all drugstores prescription systems. So people BEWARE they will approve the client anyway and if they die, they will just send the beneficiary a tacky letter, look for reasons not to pay a Death Claim and then come after the agent and threaten them if they don't pay the company back which is horrible because you got some ethical and professional agents out there that work hard for their clients and it is embarrassing to represent a company that will make you look like a fool by not keeping their end of the bargain. You take people money, you lie about approvals but in the end..you fail! AGENTS TAKE AWAY ALL YOUR BUSINESS..THERE ARE OTHER COMPANIES THAT ARE BETTER AND WITH MUCH LOWER PREMIUMS AND THEY HAVE ACCESS TO ALL THE DRUGSTORES SYSTEMS TO CHECK YOUR CLIENT OUT BEFORE MAKING THEM A CUSTOMER! PROTECT YOUR CLIENTS RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!
Company denied that I was an insured! Very limited network of dentists which really doesn't matter because they don't pay many claims!

The worst experience ever! They sent me an e-mail with the temporary card without any notice that it hadn't been eligible yet! I found that right on the dentist's chair! Hopefully, at this moment I did an x-ray only. Okay, I paid by cash, and waited for 2 days for another e-mail which said that now my insurance was definitely working and I could go to the dentist. I made an appointment to the next day. I was so shocked when found that my policy still hadn't been in the system! That's ridiculous! Moreover, the support told me that it could appear in the system... by the next week! So they didn't know the exact date when it should happened. I canceled my policy and asked for a refund. I don't recommend anyone to buy insurance there!
I never imagined in 1,000 years that I would be writing a rave review about an insurance company - but here I am!!
We have had two small policies for my mother since 2009 - one with Mutual of Omaha, and one with another large insurance company.
Unfortunately, my mother recently passed and as the beneficiary, I can share first hand that the difference in service + claims processing between the two companies is literally night and day. Mutual of Omaha in my eyes, is the gold standard!! I am beyond impressed! They have provided excellent service in each and every department along the chain. They processed swiftly and to my pleasant surprise, they sent the check within days after notifying them of my mother’s death. The competitor will not likely send a check for another 4-6 weeks. That’s after snail mailing documents, they won‘t even start the process until things are received, and it takes time to even receive these official documents on our end.
The fact that Mutual of Omaha moved so fast, it now allows our family to have the liquid funds to pay for services, our travel, rental cars and other essentials needed for these end of life family arrangements. It’s already a tough time to lose a loved one. Having the funds to take care of the services is the biggest blessing!!
We are so grateful to this company, and their business model that shows more humanity than most.
My family and I HIGHLY recommend Mutual of Omaha for life insurance!
Thank you!!
THIS IS THE WORST Company they lied to me about my paynent. THEY TOOK ANOTHER PAYMENT IN THE SAME MONTH I WAS LIED TOO. DON't let them have your account information when makng a paymen call go on line write check please don't let these people have your account information they can not be trusted. THEY LIED TOO ME TRUSTWOTHTY THEY NOT

Worse Short/Long Term Disability. I have been working for 37 years and always carried long disability insurance. This company paid two small checks to me and then informed me that I was not eligible for anymore payments until I saw a specialist.i have been taken out of work permanently and have filed for my SSDI. Every time I would try to get them the additional information they said there was not enough proof of my disability. I have arthritis, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, Stage 3 Kidney failure, anxiety, and COPD. They keep sending my doctor’s notes to their specialist and deny me according to what their doctor said. My doctor has been my primary care physician for about 30 years. I did not give them the right to my knowledge to share my doctor’s information with their doctor. Their doctor’s have never laid eyes on me. I would never stop working if I was still able. They called my doctor a lier because they were sending request to the fax machine and claimed he wouldn’t return their calls. He did finally spoke to them and said that his diagnoses were not enough to qualify me not being able to continue working. I don’t have any insurance or income to get my medicine sometimes and is having to pay a little at a time for my doctor bills and labs. Your agents are hateful and say their is no way I am getting anything no matter what. I filed a appeal for my short term denied. Then when I tried for long term they said if I couldn’t get long term which has already been denied also. Was told I could apply for an appeal but would just be denied again. I tell all of my co works to drop this insurance because they will not cover you as promised when I took it out. Also they always make you wait and wait before just denying you. Would have rated them a Zero if I could have. I have had no income since July 2023.

Mutual of Omaha paid out on my husbands cancer policy within 48 hours of documents being submitted. He only had this policy for a year and a half. Very good experience and highly recommend their critical care/cancer coverage policies. They came through when we needed them the most.
Horrible short term disability policies and a borderline scam. Customer service was a disorganized mess. I tried to file a claim and had to jump through so many hoops WHILE INCAPACITATED that I finally just gave up on receiving my benefits. I asked FOUR TIMES for my actual physical policy to be mailed to me and never received it. Do not use this company!

I was interested in a reverse mortgage. Marsha Colantino was my first contact. She is very knowledgeable about reverse mortgages and explained things for me on my level of understanding. Marsha made the process very simple. Even after I received the reverse mortgage she has answered all questions that I have had. Marsha is a valuable asset to Mutual of Omaha.
This company is worthless there is a reason they’re strong financially they don’t pay. A sales lady from there sold me the policy on my mother she asked all the medical questions and such. I told her that the only condition my mom had at the time was non insulin dependent diabetes and she said that’s fine, she never asked anymore questions. Well my mom passed away ONLY 6 hours before the policy was 2 years old, so they had to do a full review of her medical records. They refused to pay because she had diabetes with neuropathy and they said the neuropathy wasn’t disclosed. I wasn’t asked about that at all just if she had diabetes, heart trouble or cancer. Neuropathy is just nerve damage it doesn’t kill anyone. The policy was bought in July of 2021 and she died in July of 2023. She died from cancer which wasn’t diagnosed til over 1 year after buying the policy. But they refused to pay because she was diagnosed with neuropathy in 2016. Absolutely worthless insurance

It appears they think of themselves as physicians as they choose to deny, deny and deny medications and dosages as if they know better than your doctor what medications and dosages you should have to treat any specific diagnosis. I Only a couple more months and I will be able to dump them for a better insurer. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE! Do yourself a favor and search elsewhere for coverage.

Claim service is totally horrible. Waited on hold 45 minutes on Thursday. Called back on Friday, but couldn't make the claim until Monday. So here we sit at 9:12, still on hold since 9 am............ but they will be with us shortly. LOL Too bad they're not educators so we could have them written up!
As an advisor, this has been the worst experience for my client. I will never put another piece of business through this company. Not even one star....
Worst customer service I have ever spoken with. Along with anthony the manager... 2 customer service hung up, and then the manager. guess its time to change companies if it is this way.
How will my beneficiaries ever get help if I die. Probably find a way not to pay them the money for me...
I sent an email 4 days ago no call or email
