Very happy!
Very happy!
Reliable VPN network, I get 200+ Mbit/s from my fiber line.
Quick and competent customer service, decent and OPEN SOURCE software, both OpenVPN and Wireguard supported, no logs policy, fair price. One of the best VPN services around, hands down.
Best VPN Ever
I have tested most of the popular VPNs and this one is by far the best
OG company, one of the best
This company has been advocating complete privacy for years. They were also one of the first to use wire guard. When using this vpn I can still hold 45-60 ping on game servers which is perfect for me. The speed is also amazing.
Price:10/10
Security:10/10
Speed:10/10
Just get this vpn already
Highly recomment Mullvad
I've been using Mullvad, based in Sweden. Excellent VPN. Not especially cheap and the account is only for two devices unless you configure your router, but the service (and customer service) is excellent. Another thing I like about Mullvad is that I can pay monthly. If I'm ever dissatisfied, I can quit with no hassle like I experienced with Windscribe. (You can go to my review about Windscribe to read about my hassle with with this arrogant VPN.)
THE Hidden Gem of VPN Services
Please read this!: I have scratched and clawed looking for and trying different VPNs hoping to find one that sticks. Many are plagued with problems like slow speeds, being owned by shady companies, few servers, bad Linux compatibility, and incompetent customer service.
I have read up looking at internal documents and comparison charts. And now I had just recently decided to go back to Mullvad for a variety of reasons.
I will list the reasons out for you: Many servers, Linux compatibility, good customer service, reliable app/program, proxy support, and very cheap prices.
Highly recommended :) \m/
Best VPN out there
I have tested a bunch of VPNs including the big ones and I must say that Mullvad is the best one. One of the cheapest VPNs out there and delivers good speeds. Recommended by me.
a very good vpn
i switched to this vpn from protonvpn
it's a little slower but i still have a good ping download of 489mb/s upload 40/mbs so it's perfectly fine
unlike a lot of other vpn services i don't need a paypal account or credit card
it's more anonymous then most vpn services
and best of all the support is quick and friendly
VPN provider that respects your privacy .
VPN provider that respects your privacy . A lot of servers in many locations , blazing speeds , p2p traffic in all servers , 5 EUR flat rate .
Checked: It really hides your identity and keeps you safe
Mullvad is what you are looking for from VPN - security and privacy and no other provider can offer you all the best in this industry in one place: Stealth mode, Port forwarding, Shadowsock bridges and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) - (anti-censorship technologies), Multi-hop, and the protocol of the future of WireGuard ... say does anyone else have more to offer security?
When buying, they do not ask for any of your information, not even your e-mail address, and they are one of the few that have a third-party audit of privacy proofs and have extensive experience in this business.
I use it, it's fast and I enjoy it. They also have drawbacks, first of all, they don't have an iOS and Android app, which is no small thing. They are the top for Windows and Mac OS, and this is their focus where they have little competition.
Try other VPN providers in ipleak.com, for all but THIS Mullvad, ipleaks.com will show that it has recognized the VPN service and detected you. Only for VyprVPN and Mullvad writes - NO VPN! He hid you and camouflaged you.
They have a pure address and origin, Sweden, a state of great liberties and privacy, and are not from exotic islands like the British Virgin Islands, which are false about privacy because they are run by authorities in London.
Great VPN
Great VPN that supports wireguard and the speeds are really good. Support response times are a little slow however.
Every other VPN is garbage compared to this one
I have tried SO many VPN's this is by far the best one i have ever used. lots of location, good price , easy to use and no logs or privacy concerns. Thank you
30 stars if i had the option.
Best VPN out there.
Best VPN out there.
For only 5€/month you get everything u need.
Tons of locations, very very fast servers that will feel like your normal internet.
The VPN has an option so it turns on directly when starting PC, even when you are not logged in yet, it will already establish a connection!
It just has everything u need, I highly recommend this over any other more 'known/famous' VPN providers.
I tried, ExpressVPN, NordVPN, and TorGuard, this one is by far the best!
A good solid VPN that cares about privacy
Iam mostly satisfied with mullvad. The client is simple and easy to use, performance of the servers is also great and the monthly price is fair. I would love to see an App for Android and Ios in the future.
One of the best VPNs.
It's a really good VPN overall, nice speeds, a really nice advanced settings for tech savy people. The servers are great and you should have a server in your country. This VPN really beats every other vpn in the anonymity and privacy policy. The sign-up process is really simple and anonymous and it's one of the best account mechanism I've seen, you don't have to give them any info, no email, no name nothing just press sign-up do the captcha and get your user token. They accept cash in person, bitcoin, paypal, credit cards and bank transfers. And also they very kindly provide a 3 hour trial for every new user.
Best VPN ever.
Best VPN for Most User's
I start my review by saying that i have tried quite a few VPN's, testing them, in my spare time to find a VPN that suited my needs.
I've previously tried, Cyberghost, Ivacy and a few other's. Non of these VPN's could match the speed and software offering's compared to Mullvad.
Mullvad didn't start off well with there software packages, especially for the likes of Windows & Linux. But now after a software overhaul, Mullvad Software interface is brilliant, the look and the feel of way it works is great. It now has the extra settings that you need like e.g autoconnect on boot. Now after running a lot of speed test's on there service, by far it has to be the fastest. from the initial speed test i have done on server's from the U.K and the swedish one's, i found that server's in Sweden were faster than my own countries server's... which definitely is a ?.
All in all for the amount you pay for this service (with great privacy options like cash or Cryptocurrencies) you money is definitely well spent.
My only quarrel with Mullvad is a lack of a Android/iOS client, but the OpenVPN works well & i'm sure that's in the work with the good foulkes at mullvad.
Jurisdiction is in Sweden (which is inside the 14 eyes shared intelligence scheme) but from my research, Mullvad guarantee's that there is no logs that they keep on there users.
If your looking for a fast reliable VPN service and/or you are a privacy minded person, Mullvad is the one for you.
Mullvad is technically superior, but then out of left field came something I wasn't expecting.
I run Linux and with that in the past year or so, comes DNS leak problems if you use Network Manager, so in the absence of a really good Linux client app, you have to deal with it. Then, along came Mullvad and to my surprise, their service was not only blazing fast used from North America, their app too worked wonderfully! Here finally was a service and a proper Linux gui that by itself was a work of art in its simplicity and ease of use. I could barely believe it!
I tried out Mullvad for a few hours before I decided to try their "I don't need to know you" credit card payment. I was suitably impressed after three hours, risking 5 Euros didn't seem bad. Over the next weeks, I continued to be impressed, so I booked another six months service as that was all I had in cash to cover a credit card charge. (Seniors need to watch their pennies!)
What impressed me was the speed coming out of servers in Berlin and in Newark, New Jersey. There were possibly more examples, but for my purposes, anything faster than 25 Mbps sufficed. On average all servers were generally not less than 50 Mbps, but at times, speeds on the German and US servers were approaching 500 Mbps!
After a month of continuous daily use, I was satisfied, that I could lay out a year's service fees and be reasonably assured I had a service that was reliable. It was in fact technically superior to a lot of the more popular services, but then out of left field, comes a surprise I wasn't expecting. I'd elected to buy twelve more months and entered that into their payment gateway. With only five months on the clock left, the transaction was flatly refused. "Too many transactions and it was too soon to renew" the error message read. "
After several email exchanges, in which the Mullvad folks adamantly refused to take my payment, it wasn't because I was misusing the service, it wasn't because my credit card provider was refusing to approve the transaction. "No", they said, "we have a critical credit card fraud problem" and while they didn't admit it, their explanations implied that they were throttling all credit card users as fraudulent in order to deal with it. I made argument upon argument that refusing customers service at the payment gateway was foolish, but they stuck to their guns and kept their rationale to themselves.
I should likely have counted myself lucky that they offered me a refund at all, but they did. As I won't beg a service provider to take my business when other providers are offering decent performance, I was nonetheless disappointed with how Mullvad treated me and I took them up on their offer. But pride aside, I was even more disappointed that I was losing a pretty great service and to sum up, I was left with more questions than answers after interacting with Mullvad's customer service. Why would anyone beg them to take their money? Why offer an industry leading service then blow away an already paid up customer with more cash in his hand, who simply wanted more? Knowing that I was doing nothing whatsoever illegal using their service, this was akin to throwing a fish back because it was too small. Was my surfing history not interesting enough? Would a fraudster using someone else‘s credit card email them and argue with them?
Along with the bizarre behaviour, it needs to be recognised that there is a lot of trust that is placed in a VPN provider to keep your information private. They say they don't want to know who you are, then offer a payment option that definitely identifies you and then willy nilly refuse you service with no good reason. Think about it.
I rate their actual service at five stars. Their customer service was deplorable, I give it one star. Averaged out to be fair, this is a 3 star provider at most. I think these folks need to take another hard look at their approach to growing a business as the course they are on now, in my opinion will see it very quickly driven into the ground.
Mullvad is the option for extreme…
Mullvad is the option for extreme privacy. They allow you to generate an account number without any other information, and a variety of payment options are provided. I have tried both the paypal method and bitcoin method, they also provide an option where you literally mail them cash.
Downside is that they are more expensive than other VPNs, at 5 Euro per month.
