British made!

I was very happy to find a company that is truly British. I looked at others but the tie was made overseas. Even though they gave the impression they were made in the UK. The product is good, the service and communications were very good. I feel I can recommend this company. Thank you

Customer service

First mistake from this company. Sent wrong tie, contacted them, and it was rectified in less than 48 hours. Money for fast delivery refunded without asking. Truthfully I have bought from here numerous times and have found nothing to criticise.

wish I had never heard of this company, why didnt I read the reviews first !!!

I ordered a velvet bow tie for my wedding, but it arrived ridiculously oversized — completely unusable. I followed their clunky, overcomplicated returns process exactly, sending it back with all the documents they insisted on. Two weeks later, it lands back on my doorstep with a “return to sender” label and zero explanation. I have no idea how long they plan to play this game — until I lose the will to live, or until the postage costs outweigh the refund I’m entitled to? They should be paying for the return postage, but based on past experience, they’ll just ignore my email like they always do. This is disgraceful, time-wasting, and utterly unprofessional.

Make sure you only buy what you want

Make sure you only buy what you want - returns process is a scam. Return cost is your expense. If you don't send it back via recorded delivery, they simply advise they haven't received the refund & essentially you get scammed out of the refund due. Begging for responses from customer service team & they don't seem to care.

Update: Return has subsequently been delivered by Royal Mail and has been refunded.

We aim to process all returns promptly upon their receipt. However, without a tracking number, we lack the means to confirm if items sent via standard post have been delivered to our facility. This situation makes it difficult for us to issue refunds when there is no evidence that an item has been sent back. For this reason, we strongly recommend using recorded delivery for returns, providing both the sender and recipient proof of dispatch and receipt.

Given the circumstances you described, it seems possible that the delivery issue may rest with Royal Mail. We suggest that concerns about items not being delivered despite being sent could be more effectively addressed in a review of their service, as they are responsible for the delivery of returns.

If proof of postage could have been provided our team would have been happy to issue store credit of the same value.

Exceptional quality and support

First and foremost the product quality is amazing. I ordered a bow tie and matching pocket square and they are both stunning.
Another thing to add, is the customer service was instant as well as helpful. I put the wrong address on the order and 2 emails later it was adjusted.
They were even fine with me fretting and emailing (again) just to be sure the address was correct.
Can't wait to have another wedding to buy another bow tie.

Decent product, bad returns

Bow tie was decent, bit big but that was the design. Returned it and they say they never received it. Need to upgrade your returns process to be modern day appropriate.

Hi Josh, You requested a return which was accepted, subsequently you've chased a refund but haven't replied to our requests for tracking or proof of posting. Had the item been received a refund would be processed automatically within 10 days. Not many retailers will provide a refund having not received the item(s) back.

The Only Place for your Bowties

We purchased bowties for the Groom, Groomsmen, and our ring-bearing pup, Biscotti!

Our boys looked SO GOOD because of you all! The bowties were elegant, soft, sturdy, and so sleek! I know all of them will continue to wear them on special occasions, and it is all because of you all!

Thank you for the up-to-date tracking for shipping to the United States and for the accurate FAQ page and expected shipping information. It made preparing our groomsmen proposal boxes ready to go right on time!

Service that puts doubt in any online…

Service that puts doubt in any online customer

It's a real shame and sadly something anyone looking to buy from this retailer should be well aware of. The returns process is shocking and not one of a modern online retailer. By looking at other reviews it seems to be a common theme, but we bought a bow tie for a wedding and by the time we decided what to go for, they refused to take a return.

I'd recommend sticking with the better brands that use a little more common sense when it comes to customer service (the response I got was shockingly abrupt and rude), and one that looks to ensure customers have a trustworthy shopping experience online.

Side note: If anyone is interested in a £40 bow tie I have one I can offer for a good price...

Good products

Have previously ordered from MBT and been delighted, this time made a selection, some of which were returned after I decided what I liked best. Returns procedure is a bit clunky compared with other online retailers, however, the goods are pleasantly niche and refunds issed without drama.

WORST SERVICE. I ordered a bowtie on the 15/11/2022 - still not turned up

I ordered a bowtie on 15/11/2022, it is now 5/12/2022, they stated delivery within 5-7 working days.

Evri put an update on 22/11/2022 to say they couldn't deliver due to a traffic incident. I have emailed Mrs Bow Tie EVERY SINGLE DAY since then and used their 'contact us' on their website, but I have received no update.

I am starting to think the company has closed (they are still taking orders as of today 5/12/2022 it seems).

Avoid.
