I have had the pleasure of working professionally and personally with movers, not shakers many times. They are kind, considerate, hardworking, and efficient. They have made every move so easy, I highly recommend them to everyone. Movers, not shakers for the win.

Great customer service; solid, careful movers.
Spending $640 (550 + tip) for a move that took less than two hours and included five stairs - not flights- INDIVIDUAL STEPS (private entrance leading directly to the truck). The destination building was a luxury building in which the elevator drops you 3 feet from the apartment entrance. I had a TV, full bed, maybe five boxes, a wine fridge, a few VERY light IKEA-esque shelves. My roommate, on the other hand, spent five hours moving down a fifth floor east village walkup (same number of movers, insured company, etc). With 15 HEAVY boxes (beer), 20 trash bags of clothes, a king bed, 72x42’’ entertainment center, 65’’ TV, couch, full kitchen (pots, pans, dishes, etc.), a dozen fragile pictures/posters, a solid wood coffee table, 3 night stands, 5 lamps, hundreds of books, 2 chairs, and much more. They paid $350 including tip. I sincerely appreciate the service I received, but I cringe every time I think of what I paid. This review is not a relefection of the movers of customer service professionals. This review is solely for management. I paid $100 per mover, per hour, and given the *light* move described above, that’s absurd.

Great experience. They were very quick efficient and careful. Made moving a breeze.

The movers were quick, efficient and eager to allow me to sit back and let them do the literal heavy lifting. After puttering in the way for a few minutes, I took their advice and had a coffee on the stoop while they made quick work of my apartment. At my new place, they sorted my boxes and furniture by area and set me up for a mostly unpacked first night. Thanks MNS for a great moving experience!

Happy to work with MNS - they were very accommodating with my schedule, got me my bins a week before the move, showed up early on move day and were out of my old place and into the new one in record time. Particularly impressed by their ability to dismantle and reconstruct Ikea furniture without instruction!

The movers called about an hour before they intended to arrive to let me know and coordinate. This is great because now so knew we were on the same page. They arrived on time and proceeded to wrap the pieces that were set to go. They carefully placed all items onto dollies and moved them near the service elevator. Once everything was in the hallway they started to bring items down to the basement. They placed items along the basement hallway until everything was down. Then they carried each item out of the side door and up the exterior stairs then into the truck. It was not such an easy path and some items were very long. These guys made it look easy. They handled every item with deliberate caution yet they moved swiftly. They unloaded everything and the new location just as easily. I am glad I hired Movers Not Shakers! for this move. At no time did I have to worry about the condition of my belongings or the walls or floor. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat.

The guys were great, both times I've used them. I recommended them to a friend also. Very quick, efficient, and very careful with my belongings. Totally recommended. Given a flat price was also very useful!

On the office side of things, Greg was very responsive and reasonable to work with. The movers themselves were phenomenal - showed up on time; took care of fragile items; and were super efficient. The big plastic reusable bins were also a real game changer, and priced very reasonably. Highly, highly recommend!

Great experience. Movers were professional, polite and took care of everything. They handled all of my things with care and I didn’t have to lift a finger. Have used them three times now and would use them again in a heart beat if another move is necessary.

I don't often write reviews, but Movers Not Shakers was the best money I've ever spent. Moving in NYC is one of the most stressful things ever, and these guys made it so seamless and efficient - it was amazing.

They disassembled and reassembled all of the larger furniture, wrapped everything meticulously, and even helped fix a few pieces of furniture (dresser draw that was wobbly) just because they were nice guys.

They were recommended to me by a friend who loved them, and now I love them too and recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, friendly, and efficient movers!
