So I mostly use Trustpilot to name and shame evil behaviour from bad companies. Not the case today!
Kudos to the Movers not Shakers team who did an outstanding job for my move in London from A to Z. Easy planning and communication with Clint. Super efficient moving team made of 5 international sporty and very friendly guys (Portuguese, Italian, South African) with 2 trucks. Furnitures disassembled and re assembled in no time and no damage. Last and not least, the team accidentally broke a building window when climbing the stairs with a big sofa up to the 4th floor. As promised by Clint, they sent a glazier to replace within 24h. It’s the 2nd time I use this team and would highly recommend them and use again

Fantastic team moved us from a 2 bed flat in North London to South West London. They worked incredibly hard, got the job done quickly and where very polite and friendly.

I used them back in June 2017 when I moved to Jersey and I loved them! They took great care of my goods and even offered to set up my bed! They wrapped my mattress and couch and I didn't have to worry about any scratches or broken items. It was 3 guys and they did a great job! I would definitely use them again!

The only movers to use in London, will use again. Start to finish, Clint did a brilliant survey and supportive throughout. The guys who came to move my flat were brilliant, great energy, fab job and moved a sofa which some others said they would have to leave outside as it was slightly too big. Can't thank you all enough! Keep up the great work.

From beginning to start a great experience, from the survey to assess the needs for my local house move, to 2 great teams (on different days) - polite, efficient, careful with fragile items.
I can recommend this company thoroughly.

Overall horrific experience. Movers, in addition to pointing to several boxes and saying, "We can't move that," did the whole "there are more items than on the itinerary so you must pay more" scheme. What a joke. Greg at the home office was unprofessional when this was brought to his attention mid-move (though I should have expected this since he was rather rude during the initial phone call ordering the move). Do yourself a favor and go with anyone else.

Found them through Time Out's top 10 London movers. Received an initial quote through via email.
When I rang up to book, I as a little wary as the phone number on the UK website didn't work, however, the phone number on the email did. Spoke to Clinton who was very helpful & knowledgable. Having been thrown by the phone number I did a little digging to check them out and decided to take a chance.

As agreed, they dropped the boxes off a few days before so I could pack & arrived on time on moving day. They were quick & friendly and did the job well. The only mishap was that a glass picture frame broke in transit. I had wrapped it in bubble wrap but maybe not well enough.
All in all I'm pretty happy for a good price.

But guys.... update your website phone number!!

Movers, not Shakers did my London move and were excellent. Turned up bang on time and made the entire move easy and stress free. Handled everything with care, were super friendly and just got on with the job, no hassle. Can be really hard to pick a good company to do a house move - so glad I found these guys!

Worth every penny!

We recently moved from Brooklyn to Queens from a three floor walkup to an elevator building. If it weren't for Chaz and his crew we would probably still be moving boxes to this day.

The guys were great, they showed up on time, had our old place packed up on the truck by noon and even helped us unpack some tricky items in our new apartment.

The whole process with MNS was very smooth and we highly recommend you use them for your move - best moving experience ever!

I so appreciate that Miles Cutler of Morris Moving & Storage (a high-end/very high-priced moving company that's not in budget for our work) referred me to Movers Not Shakers. Although 100% perfection is unrealistic every time, the rare issue that did arise was resolved quickly and without drama. I'm very pleased with the quality of service at a fair price for all of my Staging business needs and also referring my Interior Design clients for their moves. Instead it was awe inspiring to watch this team of movers work almost non-stop, yet cheerful and accommodating to all requests.
They were in and out in less than three hours, while managing to skillfully get everything (much to our amazement) down the stairs and into the truck with literally no damage to the walls.

MNS was recommended to us by our broker when we moved to a new apartment in Park Slope, Brooklyn. This was a local move from an apartment in Cobble Hill.

Vanessa from MNS visited our apartment prior to preparing an itemized estimate of a packed move. I got estimates from 3 other moving companies, and MNS was the lowest bid. The estimate is a flat rate (as opposed to hourly): $250 for packing materials, $700 to pack, and $1500 to move for a 1.5 bedroom 3rd floor walkup (both origin and destination). So, a total of $2450.

Prior to the move, I took all the pictures down off my walls, and I moved the food that was in my fridge and freezer on my own. I also emptied out my enormous desk and packed the junk in all those drawers myself, as a huge amount of it I just needed to sort and recycle.

On moving day, MNS uses a combination of reusable, stackable, sturdy green bins and regular cardboard boxes in order to do the packing and moving. The crew showed up on time, and when they thought the estimate was low in terms of the number of boxes, they went back to their warehouse and got more. I was not charged more even though when I got the estimate I was told I would have to pay for what we used, up to 20% over the estimated cost. Their packing process places a clear priority on speed over space-efficiency, so it's really a tradeoff between their flat per-box pricing and the real per-hour labor cost. Since the estimate did not include a specific number of hours of labor, I appreciate that they did not nickle and dime me on the back end about the number of boxes.

The guys (a crew of 5) got the entire place packed between 8:30 AM and noon, and were very efficient and cheerful while doing so. They had everything down the stairs, on the truck, and up the stairs at the new place by 2 PM, all in the July heat with no air conditioning.

Only one cheap plastic toy was broken out of everything we moved! There was zero complaining or hesitation about what there was to pack and move. They just got it done, and FAST. My last packed move was a very different experience, incredibly slow, and the movers refused to pack various things. MNS didn't blink an eye, though I could hear the guys in Spanish joking about how much stuff I had (mucho mas!).

My one complaint is about the disposal of packing materials afterwards. I unpacked everything in one day, and then had to wait another day for them to come pick up the green bins, which in the meantime while stackable were taking up basically all the space in my apartment. However, this is probably because I moved on a Saturday - it's not reasonable to expect someone to come get green bins on a Sunday. I desperately wanted them to also take away the mountain of cardboard boxes that I had collapsed and stacked, and the packing paper that I had bundled, but they wouldn't take it. When you pick your move day, try to line it up with an imminent recycling pickup day! And hire Movers, Not Shakers!

Constantly reminded me to tip them and they left half filled monsters cans and packing materials from them behind in the last apartment. They left an absolute mess. I tipped them well over 20% in cash like they wanted and was definitely not the service advertised. I’ve used this company before but this last time was a complete disappointment.

Alex and his team were amazing! I've used MOVERS, NOT SHAKERS on three other moves and they do not disappoint. Professional, courteous, and friendly. I will continue to use them and recommend them. Bravo.
