Dreadful Experience
We used Move My Books to transfer all our data from iur existing accounting system to QuickBooks, their partner firm. The whole migration has failed and we are now left with two accounting systems we cannot use. Move My Books did not check the data before or after the migration and insist no errors were detected during the process but 90% of our data has not been transferred. They are trying to blame us saying we provided an incorrect backup!!!! You cannot speak to anyone over the phone to get help, everything is done via email and you have to wait 24 hours for them to respond. Dreadful support, we wish we had never migrated.

I've located a support thread where a colleague appears to have acknowledged they had a misunderstanding and that the data appeared to have been migrated correctly. Can you please check with your colleague and update the review to better reflect the nature of the migration?

Movemybooks make it SO easy - just a few clicks and I leave everything to them and when it's finished, there's rarely anything that needs doing AND if there is, they always send an email with really detailed instructions on how to check and how to make any adjustments needed

Think twice before you transfer any data
There is a warning before you begin - Movemybooks does not accurately transfer currency - all data showed as GBP but also some addresses appeared as UK when they were not on the previous programme - it has taken so long to amend all entries - transferring data should be easy - why is it such a nightmare ? Also, think carefully about how much data you really need to transfer - if you still have access to old information, I would think twice about transferring anything before your new financial year. I wish someone had told me that before I started the process which was far too easy get wrong.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. Multicurrency is a very complex feature. We try to be clear about our approach to multi-currency and attempt to highlight this prominently in our app and knowledge base.
I'm sorry things didn't work out as well as we'd like for your conversion. Due to the differences in the software systems and information they provide, the results can vary, particularly where multi-currency is present.
Your source software is specifically mentioned in our documentation as one where, if foreign currency is detected, the conversion is unlikely to complete accurately. If a customer uses a specific source system where foreign currency is mentioned as problematic, a cautious approach to the conversion is advisable.

Ask lots of questions before starting. Do migration asap after chosen date as you pay for an entire year to include only a few transactions imported post migration date.
Good service - can't fault it. Very helpful customer service although didn't always answer the questions asked - rather a roundabout response to simplify.

The data was pretty standard with no foreign Currency or departments to convert, a very quick conversion with only minor tweaks to be done to sort a few errors, very good and now have 1 year 11 months worth of back up data to refer to
