No book, no refund, no way to get in touch

Same as other comments, this store seems to be a scam, no clue how they got 99% customer approval on ebay.
I placed an order through ebay, they extended the delivery date because they don't have in stock the books they advertise, but this was 6 months ago. The book never arrived, I asked for a refund, they initially accepted but I was never refunded and now they don't reply to my messages

No book, wait, no response - repeat. Avoid

Similar experience to below/others. Book ordered, told out of stock, asked to be on back order - given a choice of refund or waiting, chose the latter. Forgot about it, tbh, then requested refund. Now, no response at any of my messages and as this fell between the cracks it's too late for a PayPal claim. Seems they systematically make money this way. Avoid.

Avoid

Difficult to understand how this seller has 99% positive feedback on eBay. Wish I'd read the reviews here. Similar experience to others. Book ordered with delivery date a few days on. Didn't arrive. Eventually enquired and was told on back order - given a choice of refund or waiting. Chose to wait. Another 2 months on and I found and bought the book elsewhere. Requested refund. This time, surprise surprise, no response at all to messages. Have now started a Visa Chargeback claim. Such a hassle.

Best a avoid this shop

Out of experience I would AVOID this ‘shop’ - they often advertise items as ‘in stock’ then take your hard earn money & then claim that the item you have ordered is no longer in stock - you then have to wait while they obtain your chosen item from a third party. In essence, they advertise items & only source them once a person places an order. This has happened to me so please be aware you may have to wait longer then advertised for your item(s)

Please AVOID

Ordered a book for my little one on 06/05 with other 2 books from another seller on the same day. Received from the other seller on the 10/05. The one from Monster Bookshop was supposed to arrive on 12/05 then I received a message from Amazon stating the new delivery date 22/05. The 22nd came and went no delivery so at Amazon it stated I could ask for refund on 23rd. I've checked the tracking number and the parcel is been sitting at the courrier facility in Bedford since 09/05 and the person from Moster Bookshop suggested the parcel is in Ireland which clearly states on the courrier website that the parcel is in Bedford. Initially I was open to wait for them to send another book but because of the lie and the person is still insisting for me to wait another 2 weeks, that I'm requesting full refund. Please avoid them.

Wish I could give this 0 stars. Book purchased through Onbuy website. Seller sent an incorrect book in the post, which began a chain of events that required me to write numerous emails, return the item, create a PayPal claim, multiple phone calls to both Royal Mail and PayPal and eventually *2 MONTHS LATER* finally get reimbursed my money via PayPal.

Dishonest and unhelpful seller, AVOID!!!

Listed item as new, sent secondhand!!!

I bought a book via their eBay site which was listed as new. When the book arrived, it had heavy creasing on the cover and at the spine where it had obviously been used. The cover was also dented and scratched. When I raised this with them they told me that the damage happened in transit and offered me a 10% refund as a goodwill gesture. I argued that the item had been misrepresented in their listing and they then increased their offer to a 30% refund. I am waiting for this refund to actually materialise…

Wish I could have left 0 stars as very bad service. I ordered two books as a Christmas present but the books I saw on line were not what I received. They had different covers and it was the specialist covers that I was after. They clearly knew they were highly sought after & advertised them but sent out different ones. I couldn’t give as a present so sent them back after Christmas. I used the QR code that was sent by a very helpful lady even though the email didn’t work & she had to make several attempts. I rung back after 2wks as no refund. A man said they hadn’t been received & would personally check the warehouse. I am still waiting & now a month after returning books I am still waiting for a refund!!!😡

Great quality and reliable

Made my 1st purchase and wish i'd discovered them sooner! Order was dispatched on time and delivery was quick! Overall experience was very good, will definitely get more books

Amazing Experience

Amazing Experience
I just had a quick query about postage of pre-ordered books on release day, and they kindly changed by delivery from 2nd class to 1st class. Also had great experience with customer service in the past, they all seem very helpful.

Do not use this company

I ordered a present for my niece for Christmas on 16th November 2023 and I have still not received the item! This company make no contact with you to keep you informed which is disgraceful. I have to constantly chase and still over 10 weeks after ordering I am yet to receive the item! So do NOT use this company!

Order for Malta

I ordered 4 books, one of which was used. Apparently this was not in a good condition but the company neglected to inform me and I got no feedback for 3 weeks. After sending 2 emails, to which I got no reply, I phoned the company and I got an explanation. The money for the used book was refunded to me and I received the rest of my order within a week (I live in Malta). My order was placed on 1 December and it could be that it got caught up with the Christmas rush. Otherwise no complaints.

Great communication

Ordered an older book that wasn't available anywhere else, got an email saying unfortunately they don't have it in stock and offered either a refund or to wait and receive it when it comes back.

As the books rarer risked it and waited was happy when I received it in the post

If I could give a review of Zero stars it would be too much. Ordered a book as a present for Christmas.

Have not had a single update since placing the order, yet the money was taken from my card the same day.
