FRAUD!!! Please make sure you sort this out as soon as you receive the text message. This is a scam, cancel it with you phone contact and get them to block it this company. Three allow them to take the money without your consent!!!! Even if you do not give out any personal details they still manage to deduct money from you somehow, for me it was took through my phone bill. Disgraceful! This happened to me a while ago but now reading how many people this has affected since is shocking and appalling that the company has still not been stopped!

Somehow 85222 hacked into my phone. They took £13.00 in September and October 2021. Amount added to my mobile phoned bill. I did not authorise this. My phone company have now blocked them. Getting the run around trying to get a refund also got my email account keep sending emails in spam. Be careful
SCAM!
I woke up one morning and noticed £4.99 had been taken out my account, when I didn’t subscribe or click on anything to make an indication to give this company money, it’s been 3 weeks now and I still haven’t got my money back, luckily I got a notification to say it had been taken out my account otherwise they would still be taking it out my account now. Also if you are having this problem you haven’t to ring the company to cancel subscription to stop further payments.
Scammers! I just found out this company is taking…
I just found out this company is taking £4.99 a week out of my account and I dont know who they are or what I am supposedly paying for! I have nothing of theirs and I know this because the only payment I make is to WWO. This is outrageous!
Further to this, I am going to speak to my lawyer because they firstly never disputed my cancelling the payments and secondly have now offered to refund £18.00 which wouldnt be happening if they had an honest claim to the payments. I hope this helps anyone in this position. You only need to contact Paypal and cancel the payments.
Keep safe everyone.
They have took 26 payments of 4.99 out…
They have took 26 payments of 4.99 out of my account through pay pal which is a total of £129 and I have not signed up to anything or any agreement to pay this money it’s a scam dunno how they are taking this money but they are how do I cancel
Your typical scam. Be careful what you click
Your typical scam and a classic reason to read the terms and conditions.
This is how it works - it starts off with a fake email about winning a £500 gift voucher (in my case Aldi, but I've seen many innocent retailers be targetted).
I have a spam email account and safe PC to use so played along with the scam to see how it works. Was asked several questions about shopping preferences and then as if by magic "won" a voucher. Its looks quite professional and can easily trick people into thinking this survey is legit.
The next bit is where the trick is. You're asked for your email and mobile number and this is the point where you'll be signed up for a messaging service - for me it was £1.50 per message * 3 per week. I didn't sign up, so technically this review could be invalid on Trustpilot because I never became a customer. It would have been very easy to miss the T&Cs at this point because you've been promised a really nice voucher.
In fairness as there is an option to read the terms and conditions, I don't know if this practice is legal or not - shady and immoral it certainly is.
Summary, don't be duped by email gifts that look to good to be true, no matter how professional it looks.
If you are there seems to be advice in other reviews (and a well known search engine) about what you'll need to do to stop being charged (might be painful and time consuming, but good luck)
Scam
I got 2 charges of 4,99 GBP and i did not remeber to subscribe to them. This people should end up in jail.
IF THIS IS HAPPEN TO YOU GO TO PAYPAL SETTINGS (CORNER RIGHT) AND CHECK (AUTOMATIC PAYMENT) FROM THERE YOU CAN STOP IT.
THIS IS A SCAM.
THIS IS A SCAM.
I DID NOT ENTER INTO ANY AGREEMENT WITH MODO MOBI LTD TO BE PAYING £4.99 INTO THEIR PAYPAL ACCOUNT EVERY WEEK. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING NEITHER DO I KNOW YOUR PRODUCTS. I KNEW ABOUT MODO MOBI LTD. WHEN PAYPAL SENT ME AUTHORISATION OF £4.99 THIS AMOUNT AND THE SAME WOULD BE TAKEN EVERY WEEK FOR WHAT? I DO NOT KNOW YOU. YOU ONLY HAVE ACCESS TO MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT. PLEASE REFUND MY MONEY (£4.99) YOU HAVE TAKEN.
The usual premium txt service scammers.
Backing company behind a range of giftcard/prize spam I receive on a daily basis. Payload is £1.50 a go premium txts and, I strongly suspect, no sign of any prizes.
