Incredibely long delivery time

Beware of this company! We waited over 2 months for the delivery. Dispatch time in the shop didnt match.
I had to investigate myself where the goods were.

My experience was very positive. I was aware of customs charges and was ready for it. The print was a regular size on web to tell me there will be import tax. However a very small print at the check out to tell me that no VAT has been charged (make it bigger! So buyers can see that tax not been charged and still outstanding)
My item was delayed a little at despatch but I had email to notify me and then another one after it was posted. Very well packed, no damage.
I had my serial number stuck on the appliance and on the back of installation manual.
I’m giving these guys five stars.
They kept their comms at good standard. The post and packing was good quality and price. Thank you

BEWARE hidden customs costs!!

MK2shop.. It seems I am the same as everyone else on this.. Hidden customs cost of £107!! No idea this was going to be the case, I would have been much cheaper to buy from other sites.

SELLER MISS-SELLING – BEWARE ‘HIDDEN’ DUTY TAXES APPLY TO U.K!

I was unfairly surprised by an alarming FedEx invoice £43.84 (hidden duty taxes) that arrived 4 days after their product was delivered. The seller’s website advertisements “NO HIDDEN COSTS” primes & misleads customers!.

I was not provided with clear transparent information regarding the above-mentioned HIDDEN taxes on their product pages, neither was it transparent during their transaction process, NOT mentioned on my receipt or in subsequent emails. My online billing summary incl a “CEE fee £8.92”, “Grand Total Incl Tax £177.62”. This meant that I was misled to believe that I had fully paid ALL costs including shipping duty tax to U.K.

MK2Shop (Eco-Shops) customer services claim that their website provides full disclosure of extra charges incurred with shipments outside EU on every page of their website!. I STRONGLY dispute this, the ADDITIONAL CHARGES are NOT TRANSPARENTLY DESCRIBED on their product pages, transaction checkout, NOT stated on the receipt or in subsequent emails.

All of the above is in breach of online selling Consumer Rights Directive (CRD).

I got delivered a defective smeg microwave oven (for the price of 667 €) without any serial number! Without serial numer I do not get any warranty repair service!
It seems that mk2shop sells faked smeg items!!!

Do not order (unexpected custom fees)

Another review about custom charges. I spent a lot of time comparing websites (including delivery fees) last year to find the best value for money microwave. I've ordered from this shop. Big mistake. A few weeks after the delivery of the item, Fedex is now sending me an £80 bill, the item has been received and installed and I reckon you'd still need to pay to send it back. Contacted MK2 shop who claimed they had this disclaimer (20% VAT) under all product pages.

They do... NOW. They definitely didn't last year or I wouldn't have ordered it (as mentioned I spent a lot of time comparing options). Not worth the hassle. No solution/partial refund offered as compensation from an unexpected bill.

I HAVE COME ON TO WARN PEOPLE, this company took months to send my item about 6 week delay from date they originally stated, kept sending different reasons for the delay. I had chosen this seller due to the good price however a month later receiving and fitting I got a £150 fed ex customs bill, it is by no means made clear on their site that you will get this and they are fully aware of this but just rely on getting your order and money and by them time you get the extra bill YOU HAVE ALREADY STARTED USING THE ITEM AND ITS TOO LATE AND TO MUCH HASSLE TO RETURN!
On coming on here I see others have been affected by same issue. I have left a review on their site but am waiting to see if they publish it, which I very much doubt.
had I gone with the uk supplier I would of got the items quicker and for less but not realising about the customs charge I believed I was getting a deal, do not be fooled.

There is a tiny small print saying uk…

There is a tiny small print saying uk customers are liable for a import tax, almost £200 which you have to pay to Fed Ex....honestly, its cheaper and less stressful to buy from a UK based retailer. I feel MK2 are knowingly misleading people and stinging them with a large bill weeks after delivery. AVOID!!!!

Defective item delivered and don't accept refund or replacement

I only purchased the hob in this shop because they ensured me they had it in stock, however they hadn't it and they took 50 days to deliver a defective hob. When I requested a replacement, they blamed a wrong installation as a cause of the defectiveness. However, I checked with two independent fitters and they both agreed that was a manufacturing problem - lack of flateness of the crystal. MK2Shop didn't accept a refund or replacement of the faulty item and not even bother about contacting the manufacturer to find a solution.
Sincerely, I wouldn't recommend this shop even to my worst enemy.

Please , please do not shop here. Terrible company. No item and they will not refund me it has been months now. Will be calling my bank now. I don't believe this company should even be trading. I will definitely be reporting them. Theifs and frauds

We asked them to send the item earlier and they contact with manufacturer and arranged the shipping immediately 5 days later we received the item. I would use them again.

This is my absolute worst shopping…

This is my absolute worst shopping experience of online shopping. We ordered a Magimix Blender in October after 6 weeks we received a delivery with a broken mixer and lacked the accessories that were to be sent with free. The company's support department is under all criticism. They respond with conflicting emails and do not take responsibility for the answers they write but blame employees or that they have been misunderstood. Could not get a new machine before returning the first one, even though I sent a film from when we opened the package and took photos of everything that was damaged or missing. in their shortcoming they blamed everything from, covid-19, christmas, incorrect deliveries and finally when we wanted to cancel the purchase they stopped responding. It was only when we reported everything to Paypal where we attached all the correspondence and pictures that they responded with a short message that they would refund our money, this after five months of correspondence to no avail, this is a real crap company.

I ordered my Smeg mixer and Smeg…

I ordered my Smeg mixer and Smeg toaster over a month ago. Was so excited. So far we got an email notification telling us about the 220 plug. Then days later a sorry your appliances are delayed. And not sure when they will arrive. So now we wait. Im starting to wonder if we will ever see them. After reading everyone else's reviews im scared. They were alot of money. I'm hoping we weren't took.

Terrible Service

Purchased an item at the start of December as a Christmas gift, website claimed delivery would be December 17th. Item still hasn’t arrived on January 17th, have emailed multiple times, they just fob me off and say they will update me but don’t.

Terrible service.

2 months since ordering a simple low cost product that they claim they have in stock and can deliver within 2 days, but despite several emails of complaint I've still not received a working item. The item first sent only arrived after applying pressure via email, but when it did eventually arrive it looked second hand and did not work.
