Over and Above Expectations
I recently ordered a book through Mixam for my mother’s Christmas present, the processing time was quick, and the delivery was prompt the quality of the book FAR exceed my expectations, the quality and attention to detail was phenomenal, especially at such a reasonable price point. Hello Sti, Thanks for your feedback. We’re sorry that your order arrived a day later than the Estimated shipping date. While we do our best to meet these estimates, sometimes delays can happen.
That said, it’s important to let us know about your deadline ahead of time, not on the day it’s needed. We can’t predict urgent deadlines if they’re only mentioned when the order expected to arrive. From the chat transcript, we can see our team was professional, polite and apologetic and gathered the details needed to help.
Your order shipped on Friday the 14th with next-day delivery and arrived on Saturday the 15th. Since your estimated delivery date was the day of your conference, it’s worth thinking about how things would’ve gone if it had been delivered later in the day. For future reference, we recommend allowing more time to avoid situations like this and please let us know prior to or on placing the order so that we can check the production schedules for you.
Also, the order this review is linked to actually arrived a day earlier than estimated.
We hope this helps you with future orders, be that with Mixam, or any other print provider that offers Estimated dates.

My graphic novel was easy to upload and put onto the site. The only part I found hard was the spine dimensions. Thankfully, Mixam had a real human who reviewed the spine before it went to print. The book turned out perfectly.

Nice product, cheeky re-run fee.
We’re happy with the product — it’s high quality and turned out well. However, when we went to place a second order of the exact same item, there was no flexibility on the setup fee. This seems like a major oversight in Mixam’s system, as reprints should be straightforward. It feels unnecessary — or perhaps even a bit of a cash grab — given that we already paid for a custom design based on Mixam’s specifications.

Hi Linda, We’re really glad to hear you’re happy with the quality of your product. But to clarify, we don’t charge any set up fees, and our site is completely free to use. Our pricing is based on the number of copies ordered and the more you order the more economical each copy is for us to produce.
We can see you initially ordered less copies that you intended to and needed to place another order to make up the difference but we were happy to offer an additional goodwill gesture discount on that occasion, it is best to double check the quantity as well as all the other details before confirming your orders.
