I have been very impressed with the work Mitchell and Dickinson have done. My house is not only much warmer but the secondary glazing is discreet and tasteful. Particular thanks go to Arturo and Peter for being so efficient, reliable and pleasant.

They start doing my windows and middle of my project they left for two weeks and go to another project, letting me really down!! I have renovation going on in my house and it’s costing me massive delays!! When I spoke with the boss he simply said we have not enough people , but we have other projects waiting for us, and so you have to wait !! Outrageous!! Greedy !! They weren’t flexible either- they said we won’t work with other builders in a house ( which they doing bathrooms!!!) ., Awful company, so regret engaging with them , was VERY Stressful experience!

Everyone I spoke to has been knowledgeable, helpful and charming . The team fitting the secondary glazing did a wonderful job, taking enormous care with every detail. They were also kind and considerate and very tidy.
The secondary glazing has made a huge difference; I no longer have any condensation and the house feels warmer and quieter.

Extremely professional, skilled craftsmen who were extremely sensitive to the look of the windows, ensuring that the glazing was sympathetic to the period features.

Mitchell and Dickinson’s team returned in early January 2025 to complete the secondary glazing in my listed home which can’t be double glazed. The team were a pleasure to have around and worked hard. As before, I was impressed by their knowledge, craft and professionalism and their consideration. The system, for both my sash and casement windows as well as static windows and also the draught proofing of my doors is excellent. It was described to me by a visiting energy efficiency firm as “The Rolls Royce of Secondary Glazing”. Certainly it has made a big difference to soundproofing and the house retaining its heat. Thank you.

I have just had secondary glazing installed in two windows of my house. I have found the team to be very professional and pleasant and the work seems to have been carried out to exacting specifications. The house feels warmer as the window are on the most exposed side. In addition the work they did to the windows has rendered them easier to open and close. I am very satisfied. They are not cheap, but worth it in my view.

An excellent experience from start to finish with detailed analysis of the work to be done by the sales person and surveyor and impressive communication in general via phone and email. The highly skilled craftsmen were respectful and friendly and went above and beyond to fit two windows and insulate two large attics. Worth every penny.

We do not normally respond to these guides but as the product and service was exemplary we felt we should leave a review. The two gentlemen, Harry and Nicky, who fitted the secondary glazing were extremely helpful, extremely tidy and we could not fault anything they did for us. As far as the product is concerned, it fits perfectly and its is almost impossible to see that it has been fitted.
We would highly recommend the company and its product.

We were impressed with the craftsmanship and care. Nothing was too much trouble. We are very satisfied with the result and the house is significantly warmer. Timescales were extended but this was handled openly and sensitively.

All of the M&D representatives who came to our house - at each stage of the process - were good-natured, well focused on their tasks and obviously highly-skilled. The members of the small installation team were careful, considerate and happy to give a little extra at every turn. We are very satisfied with the completed work. It is already proving its value.

My two main craftsmen were Joe and Greg, who were superb. Prompt, polite and friendly, and most importantly, skilled and meticulous with their attention to detail. The restoration work was fantastic - the windows look great. The draft-proofing and secondary glazing are already making a noticeable difference - I'm glad we had the work done before this winter!

Hands down the most professional company I've engaged with who operate in the trades / building / insulation space.
Communication was always clear, timely and they make great effort to talk through solutions and options for your home. 100% recommend.

Excellent craftmanship. Secondary glazing has really made a difference on our Grade II list house. The team made a great job of it - you would not know we had secondary glazing from looking at it!

Great service throughout from the initial consultation, to the order and appointment arrangement and then the install. Everyone has been friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.

We were extremely impressed with the service provided by Mitchell & Dickinson in fitting Cosy Glazing in our Grade 2 property. Everyone we had contact with from Isabel and her team to Harry and Nico who fitted the panels were extremely efficient, professional and courteous.
We are delighted how unobtrusive the panels are on our small pane Georgian windows and would thoroughly recommend Mitchell and Dickinson to anyone wanting to improve the heat loss and noise reduction in their home.

The experience of having our windows secondary glazed was overall very positive: the craftsmen were lovely, fun, respectful and highly professional. The finished products,14 windows-worth, are really pleasing. The windows now open and close beautifully smoothly, the street noise is significantly reduced and the heat insulating effect is pronounced. Although it was very expensive, given the energy and climate crises we are facing, I see it as a priority for making old houses fit for the future.
The only thing that could have been better was the original survey which was not thorough enough. Subsequent issues were discovered and in the end I paid about 5,000 pounds over the original estimate. Ouch!
However, the peace of mind at now having a much more energy-efficient (and valuable) house made it all worth while.

Tim & Liam were here for 2 weeks and did a grand job! They left the house clean & tidy and were super friendly but also efficient. Would recommend.
