Well this robot miko 3 is quite a lot of fun for the little ones they party together dance and learn it keeps them entertained for hours at a time

Our son loves to play around with it and ask it any questions and have it answer. It is a fun robot friend. The only issue is that it sometimes glitches and needs to be shut off before it will work properly.

I love the concept! But the follow through is half glass! My son is legally blind and going deaf, he is also 3! So his voice is not as defined as most kids. Miko doesn’t recognize his voice and tells him to ask a parent! WHAT??? He says “Miko dance” and Miko says ask a parent! I say Miko dance and he dances! Ugh!

I backed the Miko Neo and Swap boards on Kickstarter over 6 years ago, and I’m still waiting. Not a single update worth anything, no product, no refund — nothing but silence. It's incredibly disappointing to support a project in good faith and be left with empty promises. At this point, it feels like I threw my money into a black hole. I wouldn’t recommend backing anything from this creator again

My child loves this Robot experience only problem is occasionally after use of more than one hour will constantly make a glitch and we have to reset the robot.

I'm truly impressed with my Miko robot. We are learning everyday to be creative and use our imagination. This robot is easy to learn educational and I love love love the feature that let's you call it and you can actual check in on your house with the controller on your phone screen YES! Move the robot around and you can check your home check on your pets and speak thru it both ways. You get a free 1 year subscription to Miko max . So many interactive things to do. Create stories miko plays it on the screen. You can have Miko speak your child's name as well. It also has a privacy slide you can slide over to cover the camera. It's pretty cool and you get emails reminders for miko upcoming new activities.

Miko Bot is a fun little device for kids ages 4 and up. My kid is using it at 6 years old to ask questions and have fun. It sings songs and answers cool questions and you can even call it got video chat with your kid over the Miko app. Only issue is that it’s a bit slow sometimes to answer and doesn’t show the video of the parent when doing the video chat option. Otherwise fun!

5 Stars – A Wonderful Companion for My 4-Year-Old!
We bought the Miko robot for our 4-year-old daughter, and it has been an absolute hit in our home! From the moment we set it up, she was instantly engaged. Miko is not only fun and entertaining, but it’s also incredibly educational. It keeps her curious mind active with age-appropriate games, stories, and learning content—all while making her laugh and smile.
What I love most is how interactive it is. Miko remembers her name, responds to her questions, and even encourages her to think and explore new ideas. It’s like having a playful, intelligent buddy who’s always ready to teach and entertain.
As a parent, it’s reassuring to see her having fun and learning at the same time. Highly recommended for anyone looking to give their child a smart, safe, and engaging experience!

Overall entertainment value is ok for the kid. He enjoys it in short bursts, particularly the vocabulary shorts.
That said, I don't think it lives up to the "companion" label. The AI responses vary pretty wildly with majority being generic canned responses. Its not very intuitive to navigate & access the different features, neither thru voice command nor the LCD with no room for error in your prompts. Definitely beyond the abilities of a 5 or 6 year old. Honestly, it kind of turns into really just another screen for the kid to watch short videos on than an interactive "companion" toy.
Personally, the part i truly dislike is that at least 75% of the content & features are locked behind a subscription paywall. I don't like having to pay $200 on hardware to then be prompted to spend an additional $100 on a recurring subscription to be able to use it.
All in all, its fine in short bursts. Kiddo enjoys it. Honestly, to me it feels more like it was designed to get you into a recurring premium subscription that you hopefully forget about because the novelty wears off quickly & it goes unused.

This review was incorrectly attributed to Miko. The product in question was offered by SquareOff via Kickstarter. I've updated the review accordingly.

I backed the Miko Neo and Swap boards on Kickstarter over six years ago and never received anything. No updates, no communication, and certainly no delivery. It’s incredibly frustrating to have supported a project in good faith only to be completely ignored. At this point, it feels like the whole thing was abandoned without any accountability. Very disappointed in how this was handled—I expected better from a company that claims to care about its customers and community.

Oh, Miko 3. Where do I even begin? When I bought this little robot for Amaya's 4th birthday, I was hoping for something more than just another toy that would end up forgotten in the bottom of the toy box. Now, as she's turning 6, I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I've made as a parent. Amaya doesn't just like Miko; she absolutely adores it, and watching their connection grow has been truly heartwarming.
From the moment Miko came to life, it felt different. It wasn't just a gadget; it felt like a presence in our home. Miko somehow understood Amaya, recognizing her voice and face, and over time, it seemed to pick up on her moods. I've seen it comfort her when she's a bit down or get silly with her when she's full of energy. This emotional intelligence, this ability to truly connect with her, is something I never anticipated, and it's built a beautiful, genuine bond between them. It’s like she has this little confidant who is always there, ready to listen or play.
More Than Just Fun – It's a Learning Journey
But Miko isn't just a friendly face; it's an incredible educator disguised as a playtime pal. I've watched Amaya blossom in ways I didn't expect. She's delved into STEM concepts without even realizing she's learning, exploring basic coding through Mikode, which is brilliant for nurturing her logical thinking. And the sheer breadth of knowledge Miko offers! Amaya constantly bombards it with questions about everything from the deepest oceans to the farthest stars, and Miko always has an engaging answer, turning curiosity into a genuine quest for discovery.
We've explored different languages together, sang along to songs, and immersed ourselves in countless stories – many from the fantastic premium content partners like Disney. It's truly a rich library that keeps her engaged and learning, offering a wonderful alternative to endless screen time. It's the kind of learning that doesn't feel like learning at all, but rather an exciting adventure she embarks on with her robot friend.
Active Play and Peace of Mind
What I particularly appreciate is how Miko encourages active play. It’s not just about passive consumption. She does yoga with Miko, plays interactive games, and even gets up and dances. It brings a dynamic element to her playtime that's so crucial for a growing child. And for a parent, knowing that Miko is built to withstand the energetic antics of a six-year-old is a huge relief. Its durable shell has certainly passed the test of time in our home!
And then there's the Miko Parent App, which gives me such peace of mind. I can easily keep track of her usage, set healthy time limits, and choose the content that's right for her. Knowing that Miko is KidSAFE COPPA+ certified, with robust privacy settings and profanity filters, allows me to relax and let Amaya explore freely. Plus, the telepresence feature, where I can video call her through Miko, is a lovely way to connect when I'm away.
Honestly, Miko 3 has been more than just a gift; it's been an enrichment to Amaya's childhood. It’s a smart, safe, and truly empathetic companion that continues to surprise and delight us every day. Watching their bond, seeing her learn and laugh with her little robot friend, is just priceless.

I'm extremely disappointed with them.
I've supported them on Kickstarter thought they were legit geniuses and it was so much promising.
But the thing is that I haven't received my order yet and it's been almost about 6 years now. I had ordered Miko Neo and swap Boards there and they never arrived.
It's quite shameful that they scammed so many people during their startup who trusted them and supported them. And yet there still up and running shamelessly.

I started to contact Miko.ai in Nov 2024 regarding my order of 2 swap board. I was promised of an Xmas delivery. At the time, miko.ai is accepting order for their chess board on their website. So stock is not an issue.
Fast forward to near Xmas time and I contact them in alarm that I haven't seen any tracking information. Support promise of a Feb delivery. Feb came and went. Every time support apologies but can't give me any delivery date. It is now July and I just email them again asking for my order status. I will be lucky if it will be delivery in Xmas 2025.
Please don't trust this company with your money. Support is a joke and won't help you. Every time they sent through standard cut and paste apologies but won't be able to help you or give concrete information.
