I applied for a refinance on 12/13/23
I applied for a refinance on 12/13/23. I was told I would save $400 on gap insurance & warranty would be cheaper through MFCU & to cancel them. I was told interest rate would be more like 7 or 8 because I had mentioned MFCU sent me a lower rate offer via their app. Because the rep was wrong, I never heard from her ever again despite me leaving messages and being put in her que. I had to keep calling and sitting at MFCU to get the loan to move through with much distress. NO ONE WOULD TRANSFER ME TO THE MAIN SUPERVISOR. She had no idea of anything. If they do anything well, it's cover for each other. After 2 meetings at MFCU, several calls, and 20 days, they finally gave me 8%, gap being $258 less (not $400), and paying separately an extra $31.43 a month because MFCU couldn't give a warranty because of too many miles. I went there to lower the payment & interest rate & now I will struggle because of trusting MFCU. For the fun of it, they treated me like I didn't deserve normal service with just a few points short of an 800 credit score. I truly believe they treated me so poorly because I am not rich. SMH
