Meyer Hatchery Reviews 

I have ordered chicks from ideal and McMurray for 25 years with no major issues. I moved to Kentucky so decided to give Meyer a shot because of their proximity to my Post Office. (Cleveland is about 3.5 hrs). Even with COVID-19 barriers they were there every step of the way pre shipment. All 48 birds shipped on Monday and I picked up my chicks all alive and alert at USPS Tuesday at 10am. The chicks rode another hour in the seat of my truck before getting to the brooder. 100% ate and drank immediately. I used the included grow gel. Day 4 100% of the chicks are healthy, active and happy. Great overall experience and I will be a returning customer. Thanks Meyer!!

I would use Murray McMurray before I would ever order ANYTHING from these folks again. NO customer service and I ordered 14 chickens all of which died within a few days and they were at a professional hatchery and brooder. The only chicken to live was the free one that was not inoculated. HUGE disappointment as I have been raising chickens now close to 55 years. Me thinks they just do not care and any sucker that will order chickens here may or may not get live chicks and they may or may not get what they ordered. What a bad taste I have in my mouth from these folks. I do not run my business like this thank goodness.

The birds came all alive. One died next day which is not too bad.
But, there are at least 2 more roosters than i ordered.
Black Copper Marans look like Australops. And, they charge $13 per one day old chick! One of the cooper marans turned out to be a rooster.
Very disappointing.

I had questions about breeds and starting out a small flock and the customer care was excellent. They were patient, answered all my questions clearly and in an encouraging way.

They have a beautiful selection of breeds and other products. Their clear policies give assurance that your purchase is protected. Looking forward to using this company in the future.
