Do NOT hire this company. They hold my furniture saying with a threatening attitude: “ if you don’t pay the new fees, we will put your furniture in the garbage as the trash that this is”. This woman was insane, called me a wh0re ! she laughed and only demanded more money than the agreed one. They took two months in taking me furniture home, and when arrived items were damaged and the insurance didn’t cover any repairs. I had to pay upfront in Vancouver the other people who pick up my furniture, they were a different company and my agreement wasn’t signed to have a third party picking up my stuff, still I had to pay and that money wasn’t enough to have now extra almost 1500 cad more for not even a 1bed apartment. Mark blocked me from the phone and they replied by email yet I had no choice but paying, the drivers told me this company is awful, they are literally sociopathic and know you can’t do anything when they are holding your items. That woman in the phone needs therapy or leave Canada, as an immigrant myself, I didn’t come to Canada to scam but they truly are abusing the hospitality and laws. They literally insulted me and gave me : 1 hour to pay the extra no agreed money, When they took months to deliver.

I had a very bad and extremely disappointing experience with Metro Moving. The amount I was initially expecting to pay was very different from what I was ultimately charged.
After the move, I discovered problems with damaged and missing belongings. Before the move, I was given the impression that if anything was damaged or missing, the company would take responsibility. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
I repeatedly called and emailed trying to resolve the problems, but getting a proper response was extremely difficult. I was very disappointed with the communication and customer service I received from Mark, Grace, Eric and others I dealt with.
Once they had been paid, I felt that my concerns about my belongings were not taken seriously. The entire experience caused me a great deal of frustration and stress.
Based on my personal experience, I would never use this company again and I cannot recommend them.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Think very carefully before trusting this company with your belongings.

They are the biggest con artists.
They have no address on their website and some of the numbers are American.
Quoted us around $4500 to move from Alberta to NS. They got it to Ontario and then charged use $15,000. On top of it, they wanted all the money up front to which I refused. They then wanted proof we had the money, I got proof through the bank.
They then left a week after, this was after already being behind two weeks behind.
I missed my own nieces wedding because of these con artists.
The owner was a prick, I threatened to get the police involved. He said go ahead. I told him if I found him, I'd beat the living sh!t out of him, he keeped mouthing off. They think they are un touch able.
I then got a hold of a private investigator in Ont and he said he could find them, that they were very shaddy and it wasn't the first time he has heard about them.

My wife ended up talking to the prick owner and I guess after his wife (hr/manager or whatever made up bs she is) told him we had only payed half, he agreed that being two weeks behind already was unacceptable.
I was out of NS when they showed up, it wasn't even their drivers, these pricks use contractors. They under quote then once they get your stuff they jack it up and hold your stuff hostage. They give you two weeks, they then charge you $500 a month for storage.
I repeat do not use them. There are numerous posts and comments on reddit about them.

Absolutely terrible experience. We trusted this company with our belongings, and they completely failed to handle our move properly. Several of our belongings were damaged, and we also discovered that some of our items were missing after the move.
What is even more frustrating is what happened after we had already paid the full amount. We have called this company SEVERAL times trying to get answers about our damaged and missing belongings, and they simply will not answer our calls. It is extremely frustrating to pay a company in full and then struggle to get even a response when there is a serious problem.
Things can go wrong during a move, but what matters is how a company handles the situation afterward. In our experience, we have not received the communication or help we expected. Instead, we have been left trying repeatedly to contact them about our own belongings.
We are extremely disappointed with this experience. Damaged belongings, missing items, and then being ignored when we try to contact the company is completely unacceptable from our perspective.
Think twice before trusting this company with your belongings.

From the unexpected final cost to the way my belongings were handled, this move was stressful from beginning to end. Some of my property was damaged and an item went missing, and getting meaningful help afterward was extremely difficult.

What disappointed me most was the lack of accountability and communication. I contacted them repeatedly, but resolving the problem became a frustrating process. I expected a professional moving company to take responsibility when something went wrong, but that was not my experience.

I regret choosing this company and would not trust them with my belongings again. Think carefully before booking your move with them.

Avoid this company. The final charges were several times higher than the price that had been discussed. Everything went smoothly until they had possession of our belongings. After that, any attempt to question the bill was met with hostility. We were yelled at, calls were abruptly terminated, and we were even threatened that our belongings could be left on the side of the road. I have moved several times with other companies, and this was by far the only bad experience I have ever had. The unexpected charges, aggressive behavior, and overall lack of professionalism were completely unacceptable. I also have serious concerns about whether customers' belongings are properly insured. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this company altogether.

WHAT A SLIME COMPANY……..
HAVE RCMP FRAUD REPORT AS WELL….DON’T USE METRO MOVING & STORAGE BAD COMPANY…..COMMITTED FRAUD, HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO BANK ……INVESTIGATION. Under name Moving Systems as well…showed up on phone. Salesman called Mark from Metro Moving should be fired. Blamed me for the moving not going right. Called me lazy….I am a Senior…..how rude is that…he is…..rip off man…he doesn’t do his job well. They are listed as Transportation Service in Toronto, Ontario. I did a search in Google under Calgary moving companies. I can’t find any storage under their name in Calgary. I am ordained in ministry. They moved me Aug 30/26 & today is Sept 15/26 from Nova Scotia to Alberta & bad communication. They wanted payment when they are still in Ontario. I paid them in full & have valuable paintings & they were not even packed properly & I don’t know if I will receive them or not along with my other belongings. Salesman said I would be notified over WhatsApp when my shipment arrives & they have several storage facilities in Alberta & he didn’t communicate & tell me address of where my things are or going to be. He told me storage was free for first month & now wants to charge me for storage when I don’t even know address of where my things are or if they even arrived in Alberta. He, also, told me they move me in to my new place with no charge…what a dishonest salesman & rude man. Don’t ever use this moving company. Usually you pay after you get your things & know they are okay & not missing or damaged. They have insurance & have to pay me for missing or damaged items. I won’t give them another cent until I have proof my belongings are okay & not damaged or missing. Don’t trust them…….bad company. I am the paying customer, you don’t call your customers names & lie to them. Salesman even said my paintings would be wrapped in plastic & were not….they are very valuable! I finally heard from Andy from Metro Moving & it is Sept 18/26. He is calling me tomorrow about my belongings & they are being put in storage………I don’t know what to think or expect. I really don’t trust them anymore because of Mark the Salesman at Metro Moving. I hope my things are okay. It says one month of free storage right on their quote sheet with their logo & now they don’t want to give me the free month of storage. Sept 19/26 at 11:00 am & still haven’t heard from Andy at Metro Moving when he said he would call me. It is now 6:30 pm & I still haven’t heard from Andy at Metro Moving on Sept 19/26. Andy is dressed in white with turban on his head. Trying to rip me off. He is on WhatsApp along with Mark from Metro Moving. The main reason I got them to move me is Mark from Metro Moving offered me free month of storage before moving me into my new place with no charge. Lied & committed fraud……have contacted bank & reported them. They are under the name Moving Systems & showed up on my phone….had call from Grace Sept 25, but didn’t answer…because it said Moving Systems. Don’t know what to do. They must keep changing their business name, not sure. I think I should wait until BANK & RCMP investigation is over because I am not confident that I will receive my original paintings & belongings or paintings may be damaged because they were not wrapped properly. My belongings were not put into storage like I told them to do. I am not sure where my things are. WHAT AN UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY. Sept 28….told by Grace my belongings & paintings are still in Calgary in email….they are a very mixed up company, in fact, no one seems to know what is going on. DON’T TRUST THEM. It isn’t safe to tell them where you live…..they are too screwed up….maybe they are on drugs.

Update: stuff is damaged and missing, was finally delivered a month later with damaged bed, TV and moldy belongings- stay far!
