MetLife pet insurance has been amazing…
MetLife pet insurance has been amazing for our family. I have 3 policies with a total of 7 pets! The app is so easy to use and submitting a claim is super simple. My oldest corgi had to have TPLO surgery, which cost almost $4,000, and MetLife helped so much in this instance!

This used to be a legitimate pet insurance company
This used to be a legitimate pet insurance company. In the last few years they have shown ZERO interest in covering our pets, and 100% interest in finding ANY reason to deny claims. They are a waste of money.
We have experienced this SEVERAL times recently, but the latest is beyond belief!
We had a ROUTINE dental cleaning performed on our our dog Sunshine, which is "preventative maintenance" and SHOULD be covered.
MetLife found a three year old note by our old vet, which we dropped because they cared little about our pets care, but were attempting to justify anything to rack up a bill. The vet claimed that Sunshine showed periodontal disease; which Met Life jumped on to claim a pre-existing condition (which they will about ANYTHING now).
I appealed this idiotic denial and my present vet wrote a very accurate, quite compelling case that HE FOUND NO PERIODONTAL DISEASE, and he ONLY performed a ROUTINE tooth cleaning, which is PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE.
MetLife denied the appeal!!!! These guys care ZERO about fair and honest business, and will apparently deny ANY claim that they can find ANYTHING, whether substantiated, or speculative (yes we have had "speculative" issues before) to deny claims. I would love a PROVABLE set of data on what percentage of appeals are denied; but I would guess the number is close to 100%, and the justification is pretty close to zero.
A once reputable company is now just a scam, and their coverage a myth. These people are the anti-Christ and will deny ANY claim they can find ANY reason to, no matter who dubious; then these a__holes will send you an email denying your claim telling you how much they care about your pet, and how they are doing?!?!?
I would really like to talk to someone in this company that matters as all you get on the phone is some poor soul destined to take your animosity while their superiors cash your premium check...

Easy application to complete in a less than five minutes and the price was very reasonable.
I spoke with a representative who was very helpful and emailed a link to complete the application which was fast and easy.
