Mercedes Benz Colchester

Mercedes Benz Colchester

Have used this branch for years without issue but am unsatisfied with my latest dealings.
My car went in for a recall and while it was there I’d asked them to quote for new disk pads and fuel cap cover. Whilst there I was advised I needed 2 new tyres and wiper blades which were fitted and paid for on the day. I was quoted £457.98 for pads and £45.36 for the fuel cover and was told parts would need to be ordered and I’d get a call once they had arrived.
10 days later and no call received so I called to chase to be told the job had dropped off and parts had not been ordered and was quoted over £100 more for the fuel cap cover. Asked if anything could be done as I’d been misquoted and parts had not been ordered and was told I’d get a call back which I’ve not yet received.
Needless to say I will be taking my business elsewhere in future.

I'll never buy another Mercedes

I received a recall for my 2021 Mercedes EQA, to fix a steering risk. After 13 minutes wait, I was told that I could have an appointment to fix it in August, or a drop in appointment that couldn't be booked, wait time would depend on how many go there first!
When I bought the car, the handover was done my a young woman who didn't understand how the car worked, and then disappeared for 30 mins to complete the paper work.
The car is uncomfortable, and trim quality disappointing. I cant wait to go back to Lexus.

Great Services at Mercedes Southport

Mercedes at Southport - always had great service from them. The Sales and Service Team are a delight to work with. They try their utmost to assist with queries. Today I went in to ask them to assist with setting some functions in my car and Andrew from Reception was most helpful. He was patient and supportive to my many little requests. Andrew has deep product knowledge and such a gem! I hope that they will keep up their great services and I will definitely go back to them should I need another car. Cannot say the same for some of the other branches ......

DO NOT BUY AN EQS FROM COVENTRY

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Mercedes-Benz, particularly the Coventry branch. I purchased and picked a car that was advertised to achieve the highest mileage for an electric car. but shortly after driving it, I noticed that it did significantly less than promised. When I reached out to the dealership for support, I was met with nothing but frustration.
I purchased their chosen flagship car the Mercedes Benz EQS, and was guaranteed that the car would travel a range of 460miles. This simply is not the case and I was mis-led and
Mis sold this car. The car actually does 200 miles before the battery runs flat. This is false advertising from Mercedes.
After an initial talk with the Coventry branch, the car was taken off my hands for testing, they claimed there was “nothing” wrong with it. I took it back, drove it myself and again found that it was doing significantly less miles than advertised. Again, they reassured me that the drive range would be 460miles, but this car only gets to 200 miles before it completely dies.
This is supposed to be the flagship car of their brand, I would highly NOT recommend that anyone purchase this as the car is falsely advertised.
There was absolutely no after-sales support. The staff at the Coventry branch were incredibly dismissive when I tried to address my concerns. They showed no interest in helping me resolve the issue, making the entire experience feel like a waste of time and money.
Furthermore, after leaving the car in their hands I was given no follow up updates, and not phonecalls to tell me how things were looking. I got met with a demand for the loan car to be returned to them, before they had even told me mine was ready.. and just to top this off, I was given a Mercedes Benz EQE, WHICH WAS TERRIBLE, and again misleading on the mileage!
For a brand that prides itself on luxury and quality, the customer service was abysmal. I expected a much higher level of professionalism and care. Unfortunately, my experience has left me with a very negative impression of Mercedes-Benz. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone looking for reliable service and support.
I would definitely not recommend there Mercedes EQS flagship.
Do not buy.

They went above and beyond to help me find the perfect item. I was very impressed with the quality of the service.

Not great service

Since purchasing my car, I have always relied on Mercedes in Colindale for all my needs. However, their service has consistently been disappointing. I constantly have to follow up with them to get updates on my car, and during my last visit for an MOT, I was deeply upset. It was a rainy day and when I went to collect my car, I found it wet inside with no protective measures taken. Additionally, they had disconnected my traffic camera and failed to reconnect it after the service. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this until a few days later when I had to pick up my dad. This situation could have put me at risk in the event of an accident, as I wouldn't have been able to provide any evidence with my traffic camera turned off. Furthermore, when I called my advisor to inquire about the total cost of the service, as I was unsure if I would be able to collect the car myself, I was given a price over the phone which turned out to be an additional £170. When I questioned some of the charges on my receipt, my advisor couldn't provide a satisfactory explanation and had to seek clarification from the office. Clearly, their prices do not align with the level of service they provide.

The worst company I have ever dealt with

I have never had so many issues with a company before in my life.

I purchased a Mercedes EQA 250+ Premium Plus on 17-08-2023.

Within the first drive home I noticed an issue with the windscreen whistling, I called them up and they booked me in for them to diagnose it, they found it to be an issue with the windscreen and told me that they need to get a 3rd party to fix the issue. I was left with the whistling windscreen for 2 months until they finally booked me in. It then took 4 attempts for them to fix the issue.

I drove the car away thinking everything was fine, but within a month I noticed more issues, parking sensors going off randomly, detecting cars in front of me when there was nothing there, auto high low beam headlights not dipping. I have pictures and videos of this going back to October 2023 less than 3 months after picking up the car.

After another attempt to fix the car and then the emergency brake being taken away from me when there was nothing around me, I started the rejection process.

I was told I would get a solution in 8 weeks.
Carl Ranchod the case handler for the complaint was next to impossible to get hold of, never at his desk never letting me know that there was a delay. it took over 10 weeks to come up with a final response, and they told me that because they cant diagnose the issue they will offer me £250 as an apology.

Mercedes Northampton have had my car for months on end, passing me between bottom end A classes to then an EQA 350 which still wasnt as specced out as my car I have been paying over £600pm, to be completely messed about.

For me it was never about the money, it has been about the constant issues I have had with Mercedes and 9 months of inconvenience, not even replacing the sensor when the emergency brake was taken away from me and just telling me to take the car back because they cant diagnose it.

Mercedes Northampton were telling me that they were doing extensive testing on the car, the car has done 50 miles in the 4 months that they have been diagnosing it, the car has sat still since 10/05/2024 its now 30/05/2024, they just unlocked the car and locked it so that it looked like they had been working on it.

I have never known such a pathetic company with such awful service and complete disregard for their customers. I will never buy a Mercedes again, I will take this to court and fight my corner.

Offering me £250 to shut me up was like putting two fingers up and spitting on me.

**Review for Mercedes-Benz UK Service Centers: Leicester and Loughborough**

I am a loyal Mercedes-Benz owner, with two vehicles: an E-Class and an ML. Unfortunately, my recent experiences with Mercedes-Benz service centers in the UK, particularly in Leicester and now Loughborough, have been disappointing.

Initially, I had my vehicles serviced in Leicester. The service there was far from satisfactory, prompting me to switch to the Loughborough location. Initially, the service at Loughborough was an improvement and met my expectations. However, my recent experiences have mirrored the poor service I received in Leicester.

A service that should take no more than two hours has now extended to four hours and counting, which is unacceptable. The efficiency and quality of service at Loughborough have significantly declined.

Owning two Mercedes-Benz vehicles, I had higher expectations for the brand's service. Unfortunately, these experiences have made it clear that this will be the last time I purchase a Mercedes-Benz. The level of service I expected from a luxury brand is simply not being met. The slogan "Vorsprung durch Technik" seems to only apply to Germany, as my experiences in the UK have been far from exemplary.

Furthermore, the complaints process is equally frustrating. Being directed to complain to a UK car ambassador is both cumbersome and ridiculous. This level of bureaucracy is unacceptable and only adds to the dissatisfaction with the overall service experience.

In conclusion, my patience with Mercedes-Benz service in the UK has run out. This will be my last visit to this shoddy place, and I will not be recommending Mercedes-Benz to anyone based on these experiences.

Rubbish, utter rubbish

Rubbish, in a word. Took a GLA 220 4Matic in for clutch issue. Was told the clutch was given a “re-learn” and recommend clutch housing oil change. £780 later, after being told the car would “feel like new”, it is just as bad and, to boot, a strange noise is coming from under the car at low speed. Never going to them again. Total cowboys.

The Worst Experience with a dealership ever

I had an utterly disappointing experience with Mercedes-Benz, and I feel compelled to share it to prevent others from enduring the same ordeal.
Firstly, I brought my car in for service, and despite being informed of an oil leak, I was advised to keep driving and merely monitor it.
This reckless advice shocked me. Upon my insistence for a proper inspection, I was then tolo the car was undrivable and could have potentially exploded due to the severity of the issue. This inconsistency in diagnosis is alarming and unacceptable.
Fast forward six months, and I'm still without my car, with no concrete update on when it will be ready. The reason? We're supposedly waiting for a water cooler housing from the factory in Germany. This prolonged delay is frustrating beyond measure.
In the meantime, I've been shuffled through six different courtesy cars, each with its own set of restrictions and inconveniences. Despite explaining my hour-long commute for work, the dealership seems indifferent to the challenges these restrictions pose in my daily life.

Moreover, their stance on minor damages is exorbitant. I returned a courtesy car with a small scratch on the rims, only to be threatened with a £500 charge. While my husband managed to negotiate this down, the expectation that every car should return in pristine condition is unrealistic and punitive.
The lack of empathy and duty of care from Mercedes-Benz is appalling. Forcing customers to rely on courtesy cars for six months without a viable alternative is simply negligent.
Furthermore, the mileage restrictions on these courtesy cars hinder our ability to lead normal lives, adding insult to injury.
In conclusion, Mercedes-Benz's disregard for customer satisfaction, safety, and practicality is glaringly evident. I strongly advise against entrusting them with your vehicle or your peace of mind.

This issue is still ongoing! They took my car December 2023 and its now May 2024 and still ongoing, they have my car, brought it in driving and now they are saying its not drivable. What scammers.

Terrible customer service - waiting a year for a windscreen

My partner has been waiting for over one year for a replacement windscreen on his 350SL convertible sports car! He has had several cars (same model) over the years and this is how he is treated by Mercedes. He receives updates saying there is no ETA on when it will be fixed and todays email says the next update will be in August 2024! Totally unacceptable and no courtesy car offered either! It would be interesting if my partner took his car and left it in Mercedes show room to show others how loyal customers are treated by Mercedes. He would have left a no star review but that is not an option on here!

Mercedes of Bolton. shocking Customer Service

Brand new car with 1200 miles on the clock broke down, (2nd time in less than 3 month engine management light on) for the 2nd time. Recovery would not come out until following morning as was outside my house. Took the car following day to Mercedes of Bolton where the Manager Ish promised to keep in touch and ring me following day with an update. Faff getting hire car sorted but sorted none the less. 4 days later someone called to ask if they could test drive 40-50 miles I agreed, 4 days later call from another guy to say car ready can you collect today, I was working tried to say I’ll have to confirm times to be told if not you’ll be charged for hire car. Picked car up at 5 pm fuel was not replenished so had to ask for this to be done. 0 CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE! This team are shocking at keeping promises. Totally disappointed with this car and don’t feel safe driving it nor am I enjoying my brand new C class, just waiting for the next fault or breakdown.

My Mercedes had a service at Loughton…

My Mercedes had a service at Loughton over 5 weeks ago.
After 3 weeks and several phone calls from me , I finally received the service log. Was promised a call back each time I called but never got one. Apparent reason why I had not received the service log via email was that they never had an email address for me.
Surprisingly my appointment was confirmed via email and payment confirmation was received via email.

Service log had an incorrect mileage on it ( over 3000 miles extra on the report).

Called Loughton immediately and was promised a call back. Guess what , never received one.
Raised with head office on 28th March , got a reference number , but no email acknowledgement of my complaint.
Still no call from Loughton.
Called head office again to say ( 5th April) , they said that all they can do is to chase Loughton.
Still no communication from Loughton but did get email acknowledgement from Head Office.

Really disappointing from Mercedes who appear not to take customer issues seriously
