This company pretends to make quality…
This company pretends to make quality blades, but they go dull after less than a year, and the handle gets loose with minimal use in less than a year. I used to cut meat. I’m mad I didn’t keep my knives because I bought the matsato to have a good, sturdy, solid blade. The matsato starts out that way, but quickly breaks down with just minimal kitchen use. If I had it to do over again I would just save my money, and get a solid kitchen knife that the blade, and the handle stays strong and sharp for years not 3 months.

Disgusting call demanding extra money in order to receive the knives
I was looking forwards to getting the 2 new knives I ordered when I got a call from a representative in my country claiming that in order to receive my knives I must add their special sharpening tool and 2 special pouches to keep the knives sharp.
I did not seem like a spam call as the woman seemed quite knowledgeable about the knives. When I declined, she insisted that I would not receive the knives without adding these purchases. So I told her to refund me the money. She said she wouldn’t do that either.

Why buy a Matsato knife?
I purchased my first knife around the beginning of ‘26 and was delighted after using it. The quality, fit, finish, and usability of the Matsato knife is unbelievabley GREAT! Owning a knife this good is an awesome advantage for any kitchen. I ordered a second Matsato knife shortly thereafter just for backup.
