**scam company avoid**
Not a London company item posted from China piece of tat completely different from item advertised. Takes days to respond then advise as item bought during promotion no refunds accepted. Item not as described and is of extreme poor quality only fit for the bin **do not buy from this website **
The garments are total rubbish
The garments are total rubbish! I wish l'd read reviews before buying. Certainly taught me a lesson about buying from the internet.
Martha London is a scam
Martha London is a scam. I purchased a coat, advertised price £47 down from £100. When its arrived it was made from a cotton material, poorly constructed and very creased. No chance of a refund. My advice is do not buy anything from this company
Faulty items, illegal refund policy, avoid this retailer
Do not shop here.
Both items in my order arrived defective and misdescribed — poor stitching, missing labels, and nothing matching the website photos. Martha London refused a refund citing 'no refunds on sale items,' which is illegal under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. They then offered a 50% voucher instead of the cash refund I am legally owed.
I've initiated a chargeback and will be reporting them to Trading Standards.
DO NOT BUY! Criminals
DO NOT BUY! This is a criminal set up. 1. It is not a closing down sale. They advertise this so no refunds can be given. 2. I cancelled my order immediately I read reviews on Trustpilot. 6 hours after placing order. UK law gives a 14 day cancellation 'cool off' period for refunds.MarthaLondon said they could not refund as the order had already been processed. BS. I waited 30 days for order to arrive. The clothes looked terrible. Wrong sizes. Wrong materials. Hideous. Nothing like advertisements on website. I demanded a refund. Instead they offered a £10 voucher to place on a new order! Cheek.
Luckily I took it up with my credit card bank. Keep ALL your emails and receipts. The bank were great. Refund and a new credit card because the bank realised these scammers are criminals and could compromise your security.
Rubbish
Avoid this company at all costs absolutely rubbish they sell the only place for the suit I bought was the bucket even the bucket is too good for it a million questions and e mails to try and return it how they are allowed to sell such rubbish avoid avoid avoid
SCAMMERS!!
SCAMMERS!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.
Every item is on a sale, so NO refunds.
The two items i purchased were absolute rubbish, cheapest materials possible, chinese rubbish.
Have just seen an ad on google for this lot, seems they have had a name change, to nancy london, are they going to go through every girls name now.
Definitely another scam company
Definitely another scam company. I bought a fleece jacket from them. The quality and colour are totally nothing like the picture online. Of course I failed to notice there was no picture of either the inside or the back of the jacket on the website.
They won't refund as it was bought when on sale. Offered a 50% discount! I will never buy from them again. Very angry at myself for being taken in.
This company are criminals scamming…
This company are criminals scamming people out of money for goods that do not match descriptions or photographs.
Their website carries fake Trustpilot reviews and scores which makes it look credible.
They appear to be British, carrying the name of the capital city in their branding. The reality is they are operating out of Hong Kong and their returns policy breaks UK law.
I sincerely hope you’ve not fallen for these scammers. If you have, you have my sympathy. Contact your bank for advice. If you paid by debit or credit card the bank can apply a chargeback against these scumbags, so you have a chance to get your hard earned money back.
Avoid this company like the plague!
Just read the reviews about this company. Like all other complainants, garment poor quality material, nothing like advertised, different colour and a sleeve without a buttonhole! Absolute garbage. I am currently in communication with them and like everyone else, still waiting for return label and of course no address or contact number. Looks like Im going to have to write off this money, the derisory 20% offer, obviously wont ever arrive even though Ive said no thanks. It's only good enough for the unsaleable items bag I give to the charity shop for them to get money from recycling them. Lesson well and truly learned is the only positive I can glean from this experience!
Dreadful customer service
Like other customers I wish I had read the reviews before placing an order. I ordered large size but they arrived looking like UK size 8. I emailed immediately for a return form as instructed on the website. It takes 2 or 3 days for any response which always 'Thank you for reaching out ' then comes the negative response. I'm sorry but the items are not fit for purpose. If anyone knows a return address?
Scammers
I ordered a jacket size large after waiting 6 weeks for delivery I opened package only to find they had sent a size small which was no good to me. I immediately emailed them asking for a return label only to discover that discount items can't be returned. As it was their error I think they should correct it. After much toing and froing and getting nowhere I've decided to give jacket to charity. Beware don't touch this company with a bargepole!!!!!
Response as expected.
Not surprisingly this was their response
As stated in our terms and conditions, items purchased on sale or with a discount are not eligible for returns or refunds.
That’s why, as a one-time gesture of goodwill, we’re happy to offer you a voucher worth 50% of the amount spent, which you can use on your next purchase with us.
and this is mine...
Since all of the items on your website are on sale, by definition you would not be prepared to refund any items purchased, despite the claim on your website of …quote.
“That’s why we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If for any reason, you’re not happy with your order, simply let us know and we’ll arrange a prompt, full refund”.
Furthermore, you are marketing yourself as a UK company, hence calling yourself Martha of London and sporting the Union Jack on your site. This means that you are subject to UK consumer protection law which states…
When a company markets itself as British but delivers from China, your consumer rights may still be protected under UK law if the company is targeting UK customers.
Retailers must provide goods that meet legal standards, regardless of whether they are full-price or on sale. If a retailer refuses to refund a faulty sale item, you can assert your rights and seek assistance from organizations like the Consumer Protection Bureau (CPB) to challenge unfair retail policies.
I must point out to you at this stage that I have looked your company up on Trustpilot which is an independent online review platform where consumers can share feedback about businesses,
products, and services, and businesses can manage their reputations, Your scores are embarrassingly low showing a trust rating for your site of 1.1, the lowest that can be achieved. Complaints cite the poor quality of the goods you supply and misleading marketing practices, such as showing images that do not match with the actual item; and your reluctance to refund customers when asked.
I am keeping consumers involved in our dialogue to enable them to make informed choices about whether to spend their money with you.
I will settle for nothing less than the full cost of the sale price paid for my goods to arrive in my bank account no later than 3rd April 2026. Failure to do so will result in my making further comments on Trustpilot about your deliberate attempts to defraud me of my money followed by efforts to have your site taken down off the internet because of unscrupulous sales methods.
Utter scammers avoid avoid avoid .
Utter scammers avoid avoid avoid .. sent a vile jacket which was tiny poor quality utter rubbish then refused s refund saying it was promotion , offered 50 %off future order then wanted my bank details for 15% refund and said I may have to return item to china if they accepted return but they won’t anyway snd said it would cost me more to return than I paid. They need removing from the internet snd investigating utter deception
Impossible to be worse.
Utter, utter, UTTER rubbish. I cannot describe how bad the quality of the shirt I bought was. I wish I'd read these reviews first. I think it's nylon (no label to say what material and no washing instructions). Sewing was terrible, I could sew better seams with a stick. I've applied for a refund but I suspect it will never happen. They should NOT be allowed to advertise on Google. Totally awful in every possible way. Impressive.
ZERO STARS
My score is Zero stars but the minimum you can select is one star!
This company is a SCAM - I ordered a garment pictured and described as knitwear; what arrived (a month later) was a very poorly made and tatty blouse / shirt.
Disgusting quality - going straight to a charity shop! (But I wouldn’t pay £1 for it!)
RUBBISH
Agree with Mrs Titley the garment is rubbish, nothing like the picture. It should have been a cardigan, it is more like a men's shirt it even buttons up the men's way.
Very disappointed, absolute waste of money.
Stay well away if you are thinking of ordering.
Waited nearly a month for it.

Martha London a SCAM
I think I have fallen into their scam, because I purchased some shirts from these scammers, thinking that the shirts were produced in London, but only to discover they are produced in China. I would definitely not have purchased from them if I knew, and I wonder why their scam advert continues to appear in goggle. I have sent a mail cancelling the order eventhough I'm yet to receive the shirts and hope to raise a dispute with my bank to see if I will be fortunate to be refunded my money.
Zero stars
Zero stars, it was the same for me verbatim:
Wanted to return goods as far too small ((Asian sizes, which they do not mention) but couldn't as was a promotion
Avoid these scammers 👎
Fraud
The shirts were advertised as soft cotton. Delivery was of poor quality man made synthetic material. A total fraud. Do not go anywhere near this company
