0 stars !! Do not order from this site it is a scam!! I ordered a makeup advent calendar for my sister in laws birthday, never got any tracking information, I have benefit of douth and waited a few days still no delivery. I emailed numerous times never once got a reply !! Now when I click on my order its gone and saying page cannot be found!! I'm down 50 euro now thanks to these scammers !!

Robbers

Robbers. I bought a gel bottle with a broken pump and ineffective gel. I contacted them on the day of delivery and they asked for photos. After photos they asked for a video of the pump not working. Under UK trading law a consumer can demand a refund within 14 days even if they change their mind, never mind the product not working. Don’t buy anything from these snake-oil thieves.

Its a scam

Its a scam.
They send me a sea salt in a glass jar that was completely shattered affecting other products too, when I requested a refund they refused claiming that either I did it or it wasn’t their product. Absolutely disgraceful. It was my first and last purchase from this website.

Time consuming

Customer service did communicate by email well, although after the experience I feel that's all it was. Communication and no action.
My parcel didn't arrive so I contacted them. They wanted me to wait for 2 weeks (after I asked how long) to see if the item arrived and they would investigate.
I waited the 2 weeks and received no further response so I contacted them after looking up my consumer rights and insisted I am entitled to a refund. They said that the refund had been processed. This is now the 4th August. After not receiving the refund, asking for ANR number and then proof of refund, I put a claim through my bank and debit card.
I won the case and received my refund today (18 Aug).
A lot of my time went into this and It wasn't a lot of money but why should they get away with it?
Those that had a good experience were the few and far between.
I wouldn't touch these again with a barge pole!!

I recently bought a Olivia Garden hairbrush, after using it i noticed it was scratching my scalp, upon inspection I noticed some very sharp pins on the brush. I contacted customer service and submitted photos of the fault. They didn't want to know!! I wanted to return the brush for a full refund (17.00), they more or less said it was my fault and to contact Olivia Garden directly. Surely it would be upto Makeup UK to deal with this as they sold the item. Definitely a terrible Company to buy from, certainly won't be buying from them again.

Customer service from hell

First of all, 1* is far to much for them.
Package came damaged, delivery driver simply left it at the porch. Clearly was treated rough as box was dented. When opened everything was soaked and wet. Makeup brush has shattered package, but most importantly 2/3 of alum deodorant spray was missing from bottle (thats why everything was wet). Customer service is lowest of possible, they only trying to bounce you off.
"send us a video of leaking bottle". Well, yeah, have sent you photos documenting this, but still you claim that's not evidence enough of bottle leaking. Guess what, before you told me to make a video bottle was already in bin! Utter rubbish company!
Doesn't matter how cheap my product was, Im reporting this somewhere higher (Ombudsman? RetailADR?) and advise everyone here to do same with those bollocks.

what a shame!

what a shame! they have lost a royal customer for goods that have not been delivered and taking their time in order to not to refund. They should learn to retain their customers on a long term not to avoid losing money.

Did an order on 8th July, they sent the parcel to Evri. I have contacted make up uk and haven’t heard a response. Doubt I will. I’ve raised an investigation with Evri as well but again as they received the parcel on Tuesday 15th July that parcel should’ve been delivered by now. Will be interesting to see what will happen. But as of Monday I’ll be going to my bank to see what can be done.

I definitely do not recommend make up uk

£7.70 > Customer Loyalty 🤷‍♀️

Wow. I didn’t expect to be treated like royalty for a £7.70 order… but I also didn’t expect to be ignored, dismissed, and made to feel like a nuisance just for asking for what I paid for. Silly me.
After being sent a faulty item, I politely asked for a replacement or refund - not a spaceship or a miracle, just basic customer service. Instead, I got the kind of attitude you'd expect if I asked them to rebuild the Eiffel Tower with their bare hands.
Three emails later and still no resolution. But don’t worry - I’ve got my answer now. Apparently, they'd rather lose a loyal customer than refund less than the price of a takeaway coffee. Bold move. Let’s see how that works out long-term.
Anyway, thanks for the lesson in how not to treat paying customers. I’ll be spending my money elsewhere - somewhere I’m treated like a human, not a problem.
P.S. Deleting my account was the only thing you managed to do efficiently. Gold star for that 🌟

Amazing service and products

I ordered from this company and checked these Trustpilot reviews after and I must say I was really worried but I honestly cannot fault this company at all. I ordered the my choice by la rive last Saturday evening, for an amazing price and it arrived today (Thursday) only 5 days later. perfume was well protected and intact and smells amazing, just like my old one that is now empty. I can't comment on their customer service if something goes wrong, but working in retail myself I know that people are always way quicker to leave bad reviews other than good ones, so don't let all the bad reviews put you off. sometimes (like in my case) everything really does go right, and I will definitely order from here again xxx
