I bought a king size bed frame and it…

I bought a king size bed frame and it collapsed in the middle of the night while I was feeding my baby. Incurred injuries. The 3rd party pick up crew retrieved the broken frame (which was within warranty time frame) and I was told to expect a store credit on my account within 14 days. It’s been two months and I am out of money and have no bed frame, despite also contacting via phone/email head office who continually respond with, “we will followup.” Complete nonsense.
Service à la clientèle inexistant et incompétent.
Entreprise à fuir à tout prix.

I went in to buy 2 candles as a…ages

I went in to buy 2 candles as a gift.There was only one in stock and the sales assistant took ages trying to find a second one ....which failed.
I did buy the single one but when I got it home the wax was very dirty and the glue from the price label was very difficult to get off. I have often noticed that things get dusty in the shop and it will put me off in future.

Fraud

This company has the worst service I have ever experienced. We bought two lamps online, which we returned in time. We were promised a refund (which we have right to). We are still waiting since November to receive it, 4 months and nothing. I have been to the shop Beaugrenelle 5-6 times and every time the manager promises that it will reflect on the account within 5-10 days, but still nothing. Clients are obviously the last thing they care about. And this is in reality stealing from their clients.

Not recommended

We ordered a light and a mirror.
The light came from a third party and arrived quickly and in perfect shape.
The mirror came two weeks later and the frame was broken. Despite emails to customer care, no response.
Do not recommend.

Appalling after sales

I bought a dining room table that cost 1200€, it arrived and when we went to put the top on (which was made from marble) it was too heavy for the wooden feet and they basically collapsed under the weight of it. I contacted Maisons du monde the same evening of the arrival date for a refund and 2 weeks later and after 1 phone call and 2 emails they still haven’t been to collect it. The after sales of this company is absolutely appalling. I now have a huge broken heavy dining table sat in my dining room. It better be gone by Christmas.

Always a pleasure to visit or telephone…

Always a pleasure to visit or telephone these stores, your sales assistants are always very pleasant, helpful and 'nice', apart from one telephone call today to a store in Melun where the first lady I spoke to about curtains was obnoxious, and despite the fact that I gave her the name of the product (Stepney), which the other 4 stores had had no problem finding, she refused to look until I found a reference number on the internet. The call became agressive and not at all like your other assistants who have all been wonderful. Good thing it was not my first contact with M du M, or I would have stopped there

Wonderful products

Wonderful products, good sales assistance and good delivery dates. Actual delivery was a let down as my goods were delivered to my neighbour in error. I was in all day looking out for delivery van. Waiting for another delivery today, but so far (15.45h) no joy. Was only given a date - no time.

Never buy a sofa from Maisons du Monde.

Their timescales are an absolute lie to try to get you to buy from them.

We ordered because the item said “delivery within 5 weeks”. It’s been 8 weeks and still no satisfactory answer about where the sofa is…

We had to ask our guests to sit on the floor! This is disgraceful.

Bad service

I placed my order on 4th September and it still has not been delivered. It seems impossible to contact this company to complain as all of their excuses come from a no reply email address. Their customer relations are appalling.

Good choice

Good choice, friendly and helpful personal. Being a faithful client since several years, I unfortunately have the feeling that the quality has worsened. The finishing of some items is sometimes poor.

Ordered a convertible sofa for a 5…

Ordered a convertible sofa for a 5 weeks delivery time

10 weeks after it is still not here. I had to pay for a hotel as I had guest coming.

They are not offering any satisfying answer, apologies or a way to make it up to the us.

No word from maison du monde all in all.

Called 6 time the customer service. Each time the "expert service" supposed to call back, as the customer service is not able to handle our requests, within 3 days but we have not received any call in 3 weeks.

You should avoid this brand they are dishonest and are not respectful of your time and money

I ordered 2 rugs from this company at…

I ordered 2 rugs from this company at the end of June with a delivery date of around 12/7. Since then nothing but a false tracking number that is linked to some other parcel delivered to another person last March. Every time I tried calling them I couldn't get through to a person. I emailed them for the 4th time today. I have always received an email receipt but no response. Last week, I tracked down the corporate HQ address and wrote a letter to complain. Still nothing! I feel like it's all gone into a void and feel completely powerless. It's disgraceful. There website claims you can click on cancel order if there is a problem but that feature has been removed on my order summary. It's incredible. Terrible experience.
