The package was unfortunately held in customs and later returned after the import taxes were declined. While the customs process itself is outside of our control, we completely understand how stressful and disappointing the delays must have felt from your side as well.

We would also like to kindly clarify that the refund was tied to the return being received back at our facility, which had been delayed during transit and customs processing. Our colleagues confirmed the refund during yesterday’s email communication, and it has since been processed successfully.

We do want to gently reassure you that our gel polishes are HEMA-free, as well as vegan, cruelty-free, and 21-free, meaning they are formulated without many commonly restricted ingredients. That said, we also understand that sensitivities can be very individual, and reactions can still happen depending on personal allergies.

Regarding your review on our website, we’d like to reassure you that we don’t filter out negative feedback. Reviews do go through a standard moderation process, which can sometimes delay their appearance.

We would like to gently clarify that the VIP Membership is an optional selection at checkout, and it is only activated when a customer chooses to enrol. The membership includes a $29 monthly store credit, which becomes available in the account each billing cycle. We are not able to activate it automatically without the customer’s selection.

That said, we completely understand how frustrating it can feel if the membership was not your intention. Cancellation can be done at any time directly through the “My Account” section, or by reaching out to our customer care team, and we are always happy to assist right away. Additionally, if there has been an unwanted charge, we do review and refund upon request.

We would truly appreciate the opportunity to look into your specific case and help resolve this for you as quickly as possible. We’ve requested your details through Trustpilot so we can get in touch directly and make sure everything is properly taken care of.

When you first contacted us, our team did respond and tried to assist right away. However, it appears that our replies were automatically marked as spam on your end shortly after your initial message, which unfortunately prevented you from receiving our follow-up emails and made it difficult for us to communicate with you properly.

Even so, we still wanted to help, and we issued a refund as a courtesy, despite the item being opened and the protective film removed.

Kindly note that Madam Glam does not misdeclare shipments. All international orders are shipped with the appropriate documentation, including HS codes that clearly identify the merchandise as cosmetic and nail products. Because of this, there would be no reason or way for the shipment to be declared as “chocolates” on our end.
