Hello, my Lyca Mobile Italy eSIM suddenly stopped working today. My iPhone 13 shows “No SIM”. I can still log into my Lyca account, and my number, balance, and active plan are all visible.
There was a mistake I was trying to renew my plan or subscribe now I have no data non credit on my phone,
do NOT engage with this company at all, you MUST be a resident and have legal residency status in Italy in order to pass KYC verification, on top of that they don't give you a number until a day late... See more

I reached the customer support and talked with Kim, who guided me through the steps of swapping my current eSIM to a new physical one due to an incident with my smartphone. The instruction were clear and now I have to take care to reach a shop, order a new sim and perform a "portability" of the old number on it providing the details of my previous eSIM order. While not the most automated way, I appreciated the possibility to perform the task both in shop and online reaching the Customer Service, even if it would take a little longer.

The worst mobile service and network. Bought an esim to work in UK and India. Activated it as required and it never worked in India. No network or Internet. Customer service if you call it that does not respond for hours expecting you to wait on chat while they bid their time to respond. Had to buy another esim by paying more. Atrocious service. Plus on monthly contracts they auto charge without anything clear when you sign up. Avoid this network.

They take your money and then they don't activate your eSim! Don't reply to your emails and Ebot is a waste of space. Save your money and go to a proper company.

My plan showed "no automatic renewal" in the lycamobile app, however it automatically renewed, same for my girlfriend. Apparently there is an other spot in the app where it says automatical renewal is on, but that is quite hard to find, feels like its planned that way and feels also like a scam. Sent them an email but no response. Its only 8 euros so not the end of the world.

Pricing is excellent, data is fine, but voice calls are mostly useless. I am using an e-sim, don't know if that has any bearing. Sounds like the person is talking under water. Complained numerous time, customer service agents are very sweet, but achieve nothing, and emails go unanswered, so bye bye Lyca.

No more Lyca mobile Italy!
False informations are given. Ridicolous client support without answers to multiple emails with high priority for activation of monthly plan... Phone calls are answered from Romania, just to entertain client telling to write and email to Rome office where nobody answer after 20 days!!!
Bad management in Italy, maybe is better in other countries.
The only way out seems to be the switch to another MVNO.
Just today after one month wait the promises of 5 operators of call center Lyca from Romania answering to Italian number Lyca client support.
They were promising that for my need to portability I have to buy a portin plan of EUR 11,99 and after send of certificate and copy of document via email, I should get return 50% of paid plan and activation of DSB plan for further months .... I told that have no card and want to use the available credit added by cash from Lycamobile shops... But only today I got the (new) answer saying this plan is not possible to activate by available credit but only by card!!!
Unbelievable since 6 of October in 8 emails and 10 calls never was told this requirement ....
So guys, DON'T Consider to have LYCA for your phone... Alternative company are much better with clear rules and fast feedback from client support (no AI bot like the useless Lia of lyca mobile)

I wasted 8 hours, and after 100 attempts to take a photo of my ID card, film my face counting numbers, they did not register my eSIM card even though they received more data than necessary (Article 6
EU GDPR "Lawfulness of processing")
I will contact them to refund my money and ensure data protection, data protection.
If they do not refund, it is a data protection violation, the excess data is required and I did not receive the service, there are supervisory authorities.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Absolute disgrace of a company. I bought an eSIM for €12 almost a month ago, it didn’t activate and I’ve been writing emails every week to their customer support and I haven’t heard anything back. I’ve gone into multiple lycamobile shops for assistance, and I’ve been met with the rudest response! I’m absolutely disgusted! Please don’t waste your money!!

Great support from Lycamobile! Kim from the chat was very helpful and solved my issue quickly.

This is a scam. The prepaid SIM card was for a month but only worked for 5 days and then they blocked it. Received a message saying they needed more information from me, even though I had provided my passport when I bought it. I can’t get anyone to help me, by phone or email. I ended up buying another SIM card from a competitor. I wasted my money with Lycamobile.
Update
They waited until my last day in Italy before reaching out, saying they would reinstate the service they were supposed to provide, at a time where I no longer needed it. What a shit show ! I answered that nothing short of a refund would satisfy me. No answer from
Lyca, of course.

Total incompetence, they automatically set auto renewal on the eSIM. I only used it for a holiday, and as the auto renewal is hidden I didn’t realise. A bit underhand but I take some responsibility
The challenge I have I have spent 2 months trying to cancel
The AI chat seems to work at first then Freezes
Live chat no one answers
Can’t download the app in the uk
uk Lyca refuse to help
As the eSIM has been deleted I can’t access the account this way
I emailed with all this to Lyca Italy, asking them to cancel the renewal
Two responses
use the app😤, (see above)
They want to know why I want to cancel the auto renewal before they do. Errrrmmmmm sod off none of your business just stop the auto renewal

Worst experience. Keep away.
On my holiday in Italy we needed some internet and I bought esim from Lyca Mobile IT.
I was not able to share internet on my phone when I used the Lyca mobil, so I couldn't connect my Ipad to the internet. I tried to call Lyca Mobil support. But after almost 2 hours I hang up.
When I send an email to their support yhe answer was I should get their app. But in the app store the app is not awaible for my region.
Then when I come home, I saw that it was a plan I have created. I tried to stop the plan. I couldn't login to my account and when I tried to do a reset off my password, the system created a password that include sign I could use. And the support anbswer after several weeks and just for getting more information. After I have reset my paqssword 5-10 times, I then get a password i could use.
NEVER AGAIN

Update – Warning to Others
After a month, I discovered that Lycamobile charged me again for what was clearly a one-time prepaid SIM. No notice, no consent — just a new charge as if I’d subscribed to a recurring plan I never agreed to.
I’m a tourist who bought a prepaid card for short-term use. Both my line and my wife’s line were billed again. I emailed support and even the special Trustpilot address — no reply at all.
This feels deceptive and unacceptable. Be warned: make sure to disable any auto-renewal immediately or risk being charged again without authorization

I had a great experience with Lycamobile. The key is to carefully follow the installation and online ID registration steps — once that’s done, everything works smoothly. Good coverage and easy setup overall.

I purchased a Lycamobile Italy eSIM for €6.99 to use during my vacation. Unfortunately, the internet never worked after activation. I tried to contact customer service, but they were completely unreachable – I spent hours on hold without any response.
At some point, my eSIM was even removed and could no longer be activated. I’m now back from my trip and never got to use the eSIM at all.
To make matters worse, it’s impossible to retrieve my phone number, which means I can’t log into the website to cancel my subscription. Customer support doesn’t respond and offers no solutions.
In short: poor product, awful service. Absolutely not recommended.

I purchased an eSIM from Lyca Mobile Italy and followed all their steps: registration, providing documents, etc. I even received confirmation emails with Order ID, ICCID and PUK. BUT I did not receive the QR code nor the SM-DP+ address & Activation Code needed to install the eSIM on my iPhone.
I’ve emailed, called, and tried every support option available. No response. The online account has no option to download the missing QR details. Customer service is silent. This is unacceptable.
I paid for the eSIM, but I have received zero usable product. Lyca Mobile’s instructions say the QR code will be sent, but in practice they haven’t followed through.
If you are thinking of buying an eSIM from Lyca Mobile Italy, beware: unless you’re lucky, you may end up paying for a service you can’t use, with no customer support to help you.
I demand that Lyca provide my QR code or SM-DP+ / activation code immediately, or refund me without further delay.
Update: I finally spoke with customer support, and they informed me that they couldn’t resend the QR details. I will need to purchase the eSIM again. However, they were helpful and submitted a refund request on my behalf. I am now waiting for the refund amount to be returned to my bank account before attempting to buy the eSIM again. I will provide an update once I receive the refund.

Don’t ever get an e-sim from Lyca Mobile in any European country. They are a scam!!! They charged me and the esim never worked. I contacted the customer service and support team but nobody ever responded on emails and calls

The website works badly but the customer service guy Kim was very helpful. I can cancel my eSim with his assistance.

*UPDATE: FAKE PUBLIC RESPONSE TO MY REVIEW TO PRETEND THEY WANTED TO HELP. HOWEVER, I EMAILED MULTIPLE TIMES OVER 2 WEEKS AND THEY NEVER GOT BACK TO ME - STILL WAITING FOR MY REFUND*
Unfortunately their eSIM doesn't work with my device, they can't send a new QR Code to transfer it to my iPad, so they said I have to go to a store to do a SIM swap. However, all the stores I called in Bologna had guys who can barely communicate and kept saying they'd charge 15€ for a new SIM, which makes this supposedly good offer really crappy. One day fighting against the odds, and still no internet connection.
