Hello, my Lyca Mobile Italy eSIM suddenly stopped working today. My iPhone 13 shows “No SIM”. I can still log into my Lyca account, and my number, balance, and active plan are all visible.
There was a mistake I was trying to renew my plan or subscribe now I have no data non credit on my phone,
do NOT engage with this company at all, you MUST be a resident and have legal residency status in Italy in order to pass KYC verification, on top of that they don't give you a number until a day late... See more

If you only can, choose another provider because Lycamobile fails on so many levels I don't even know where to start. The interface is as user unfriendly as it possibly can be. They also go to great lenghts to make the customer experience really suck. My pet peeve - autotop up is switched on by default, to make sure that you keep getting charged if you forget to cancel your plan. If you DO remember to switch it off - it couldn't just be a simple toggle in settings could it? The toggle is there but when you set it to "off" it initiates a request process that takes anywhere from 2-5 days. Charges keep coming in the meantime. Since I only use this card sparringly when visiting Italy, I ended up having the recharge runnning for several months because the toggle apparently does not work over roaming even if the card is connected to the network and roaming data enabled. Customer service is uattainable in case you tried an actual human to help you solve for Catch 22.

AWFUL SCAM !
It is impossible to activate the eSIM despite no conditions written on the package (the payment went through very rapidly though). No contact via email, phone or chat bot! Please avoid !

Yesterday I requested the porting of my old number on LycaMobile, but at first my new sim got assigned a new phone number. I was confused, so I called the helpline and in a matter of seconds they told me that it was a temporary phone number given before the porting.
100% satisfied with the support. Let's see if also the plan will be as great

DISASTRO TOTALE – Incompetenza tecnica e pratiche commerciali ingannevoli
L'apice dell'insulto all'intelligenza del cliente?
English version:
A TOTAL DISASTER – Incompetence and Predatory Business Practices
I strongly advise everyone against giving a single cent to this company. It is a lethal combination of technical incompetence and a total lack of respect for the customer.
During my trip, I was left completely stranded despite having paid twice for roaming. I wasted hours in chat with an embarrassing support team that was unable to resolve a simple APN configuration issue. After empty promises of 'technical checks' and 'callbacks' that never happened, the service remained non-existent. They are literally selling air.
Even more serious is the systematic and unauthorized reactivation of auto-renewals without any consent. This is a recurring issue: I already had to intervene back in August to stop these forced charges. These are clearly predatory 'strategies' designed to siphone money from customers in a deceitful way.
The peak of the absurdity was my attempt to get a refund for the €20 stolen for services never used. I was told I was speaking to a 'live agent' when it was glaringly obvious I was dealing with a chatbot programmed to give pathetic, canned responses. The ultimate insult to my intelligence? The agent dared to blame my 'poor connection' for the issues, while I was typing from a PC on a rock-solid fiber optic network.
Beyond the financial loss, they will waste hours of your time and mock you with childish excuses. Stay far away: this is a company that survives on forced withdrawals and a support system that 'substandard' would be a compliment to.

I’m extremely disappointed in Lyca. Their help support is terrible. I have a simple request to transfer my eSIM to my new phone and the process is horrendous. No one seems to care to help. I keep getting the same call support agent and he only seems to try and get rid of me with no actual help. Always has the audacity to tell me to wait for 24 hrs and resend email to Lyca. WHY THE HELL SHOULD I SEND THE SAME EMAIL AGAIN AND AGAIN WHEN I HAVE ALREADY ATTACHED THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS?? If you don’t care to read or check the email then how and why does the content in it matters? I have been waiting for 5 days now and this process hasn’t moved a millimeter. Not just that, I had a network issue a month ago for which I wrote an email to Lyca and guess what? They replied a month later lol when I had already fixed the issue myself. TERRIBLE DISGRACEFUL SUPPORT!

AND PROBLEM WITH LYCA SUPPORT IS APPEARING AGAIN
I leaved my first negative review month ago, and what do you all think? They didn’t fixed anything at all! Same mistake while I’m trying to renew my plan with MY money! I gust receive errors while trying to do payment. App balance is enough for it. So, previous time operator from lyca helped me to pay for my plan, but this time they refused!! Conversation then and today was very similar, they asked me my name and birthdate (it didn’t match with one in my app because father if my boyfriend bought me sim, I’m not italian and didn’t have all the documents to just buy sim by myself) So, previous time customer service helped me, but now WHEN IT’S SAME PROBLEM they refused to help because I’m not an owner of card? So if there is this rules, why previous time operator didn’t said anything to me? What the hell going on? EVERYONE WHO THINK TO BUY SOME SIM IN ITALY JUST DON’T CHOOSE LYCA MOBILE! FOR SIMPLY SAVING YOUR NERVES AND MONEY (and now I think they are some SCAM service just to rob their clients and receive millions calls on their customer service line) THE MOST AWFUL EXPERIENCE WITH SIM-CARD AT ALL MY LIFE

The user experience is terrible, i bought esim and i could not activate it. I wasted 2 days trying to resolve it with customer service without success

I topped up for a friend visiting the UK. It was for 30days. Did not sign up for a contract. A one-off top up. Lyca charged my card for the following month as well. Truly a scam company.

I contacted customer service and spoke with Diana No. 005. She quickly resolved the issue and also provided me with further instructions for using my Lycamobile SIM card better. Thanks to Diana, and congratulations on the excellent service you provided.

I bought a Esim but got trouble activating and I would use for 2 days in Italy. Since they took 24 hours to answer and would be more 24 for me to have it reviewed again it I did not have any chance of using it and lost my money. In Portugal it was really fast and great service but Italy is bad.
Edit: Sailendran Balasubramanian got in touch really fast and solved the problema right away. I've received a full refund! Thank you!

The worse customer service i've had, waited half an hour in the call for customer assistant, was requested to grab some documentation, i asked for them to give me a minute, couldn't even wait half an minute before hanging up. Professionalism of this company is awful. just straight up awful.

The onboarding process is painful and requires 30-60 minutes.
After, the portability of the number happened two days later so that I paid this mont to two operators.
Now they deactivated my old SIM but on the new one I can't make or receive phone calls.
Call center says that the system is down and they can't help
Email support never replied

Make it impossible to cancel. No customer service and have had to manually dispute with my bank every month. DO NOT BUY A SIM CARD WITH THEM

Reply from Lyca Mobile IT
Paid my money. Went through all of the registration process. Said they'd activate my sim in 24 hours. Never heard from them again. Contacted help line, they said they couldn't help (lol) and told me to send an email to some random address. Guess what? Never heard back.

I moved my Italian number from a different operator to Lyca eSIM. Then I changed my phone and I deleted the eSIM from the old phone to install on the new but then I learned once you delete it you cannot install it again and need to order a new eSIM. But the thing is you cannot just pay and get a new eSIM for your number. You need to buy a new number now, then ask for them to sim swap, so they will recover your old number back into the new eSIM you purchased. I live in a small Italian city, where there is no official Lyca mobile store, and the small partner shop do not help me with that. I emailed to Lyca support, after 1 month of conversation (every message gets reply after 2 days) they said they forwarded to the related department, yet it's been ~1-2 months I'm still waiting for my old number to be recovered. It's frustrating and they never answer my emails nor help me with that. STAY AWAY FROM LYCA MOBILE FOR ALL COST
