WARNING TO FAMILIES: Luxury Escapes Seized $2,000+ Using Deceptive Legal Loopholes
Do not trust this company with your family’s vacation capital. If an emergency happens or you face an unpredictable life event, their "luxury" facade completely vanishes, and their legal department will weaponize the fine print to confiscate your money without rendering a single service.

My family is out over $2,400 USD because Luxury Escapes quietly wiped our active account credit balance to exactly zero without sending a single proactive email warning, expiry countdown, or notification.

When we formally challenged this total forfeiture of funds, their General Counsel stepped in to defend the corporate theft using an insulting semantic loophole. Under Australian Consumer Law, vouchers and consumer credits are legally required to carry a mandatory 3-year minimum expiration to protect buyers from predatory practices. Luxury Escapes’ legal defense? They are arguing that because they deposited our funds into an "account wallet" instead of printing it on a physical "gift card," they have a right to bypass consumer safety laws and steal our money in 12 months instead of 3 years.

To make matters worse, the credit tier we were forced into was structurally unusable because their luxury catalog for that bracket is overwhelmingly restricted to adults-only properties—which is entirely useless for a household traveling with a minor child.

The reality of doing business with Luxury Escapes: They currently have pocketed thousands of dollars of our hard-earned money while providing zero travel accommodations, zero hotel nights, and zero value. They are relying on automated systems and calculated fine print to justify unjust enrichment.

We have refused to roll over and have escalated this predatory conduct directly to American Express Executive Corporate Risk teams and the relevant federal consumer protection tribunals. If you are a family looking for a stress-free travel partner, book directly with hotels or use an agency that respects basic consumer protection laws. Stay far away from Luxury Escapes.

I've had a great experience booking …

I've had a great experience booking all my travel for the past couple of years through Luxury Escapes. The prices and airfares are usually cheaper than any other website. There are good benefits offered through LuxPlus and Societe and the telephone support has been fabulous.
