Simple to use and very informative. It seems to be quite accurate too. Sometimes some days are missing, but this may be the fault of the Smart meter.

Very useful app which pulls together your energy usage data and costs from your supplier's energy account. We recently had a new boiler fitted and we can see month by month the improvement in efficiency and reduction in our gas bills. Looking forward to installing solar panels and we now have real data of electricity usage hour by hour which allows us to understand better how we can take advantage of a solar pv system.

It was not easy to find you, but now very easy to use.

Downloaded this app as the EDF smart hub was a bit awkward to use, this is nice and simple and easy to navigate. Only issue is it tells me how much electricity i used and the percentage is up or down (how much i saved) but it doesnt do it for the Gas, otherwise its a nice little app :)

Took a while to get Loop app working initially.
Was just not showing any data for my smart meter?
Had really excellent communication & help from loop by email about this & tried uninstalling & everything several times...but was still not working.🤔😢
Managed to get Eon next to send an engineer to look at smart meters & IHD on 21st September.
Eon got both my gas & electricity smart meters working & after uninstalling & reinstalling the app. Loop is working perfectly!

I have a smart meter but the British Gas app can never load the usage information. When I saw that Loop could do it I wanted to give it a try. It's easy to set up and within a few days it had my electric and gas usage information from my meters. Very useful and can give hints on how to save energy if needed and when's best to use it. Highly recommendable

Loop have given me reliable access to my smart meter data when my supplier couldn't! Loop support are knowledgeable and friendly whenever I've had a question! I've got 1100 days of data in Loop and with my smart meter display long lost, I've come to rely on the app. This will be my 4th winter using it. Usng Loop's data analysis and smart home tech to control heating/lighting/gadgets I have cut my gas usage from 15k kwh in 2021 to 9k in 2022 to approx 4k kwh in 2023 (currently 3,2k in Oct 23 with 2 months to go. Similar reductionsbwith electricity 10k to 7k to approx 4.4k kwh over 3 years. Would recommend Loop! Half the battle is knowing how much energy each appliance/gadget uses. E.g. My cooker when not in use consumes 40 watts to display the clock which is always wrong 24/7.. Soon adds up. Smart sockets to kill power, smart bulbs for lighting and smart radiator valves to stop heating rooms which aren't in use and retrofitting wifi thermostat tp my old boiler to give me control the heating as well as lots of sensors to tell me if the kids have the windows open etc while the heating is on!! Couldnt have done it without Loop's app! Would recommend

Really great app idea. It's simple and pretty much does what is says. Being able to view half-hourly usage information is so much more helpful than the rather less-than-smart 'Smart Meter' I got. Sadly, as I'm on a first generation smart meter, I can't get my gas usage. I'm not sure what's gone wrong, but the Loop help files advise that this appears to be a common issue. Sadly, I don't see that being fixed (and it's not really on Loop to do so). However, the access to electricity usage is the most helpful and I've already been able to identify a few devices that are causing heavy usage.

Believe it or not loop was a fantastic company started by engineers who wanted an innovative was for people to track their energy usage ( gas and electric) they had WiFi meter readers that you could ( very simply) attach yo your gas meter and electricity meter and get live data sent via a very good app. You could use this app to perform your meter readings remotely and was a godsend to people who had second homes, rented accommodation etc and needed the functionality. It also had within the app a energy price matcher to make sure you were on the best tariff. After a couple of years of this company being awesome they suddenly decided that they could no longer support standard meters and they abandoned the service, moving over to smart meter reads ( which are absolutely pointless) and solar panel generation reads. They claimed that this was due to overheads to maintain the existing ecosystem were too much but it was clear they were bought out by someone who wants to push the smart meter agenda. So what's left ? A literally "loop" of nonsense and one of the worst energy trackers in the industry. I hope the founding fathers of this company were handsomely paid off, in fact if you can put me in touch with them so they can provided me with the old loops system as a bespoke unit I would be more than grateful. Other than that this company ( and I say this unfortunately as they could have been big) is complete shadow of its former self. Which is a shame as I loved loop and would have happily paid a subscription service to keep the functionality.

Waste of time, it wouldn't accept the 4 digits from the smart meter. An hour of my life I won't get back

I didn't get a smart meter home display when my meter was installed so this app is perfect. Keeps a check on what I'm using and when, daily, monthly and yearly usage and cost. Gives practical and achievable suggestions on how to cut usage and save money. Loop keeps me completely up to date and even if you have a home display I'd still recommend you get Loop. For me, it's perfect.

This app provides me with details of my daily use of gas and electricity.

Great little app to view your energy use in greater detail than the display supplied with the smart meter. Installed a couple of air con heat pumps to utilise the energy efficiency in cooling and heating. The app demonstrated the reduction in energy using in those rooms

This app only displayed info for electric and not gas.
Asked what to do to fix this, had nothing but problems trying to do so and in the end gave up and uninstall the app.
Seriously disappointed.

Really helpful little App.
Better than a smartmeter as I can see the data anytime, and also drill down further and get tips and tricks. It does what the smart meter always promised it would do.

Setting up the smart meter was quite easy, details on my online bills gave the details, another details were from the smart meter home display. Have entering the details within a few days the Loop app had the past few months of historic data which is simple to display both for electricity and gas. I was quickly app to find appliances that were wasting electric 24/7. I have tropical aquarium which runs a filter pump and heater, so I will use the app to see the usage. I've tried the solar simulator for both panels only and combined panels and batteries, the information is brilliant and shows graphically the energy saved.

I changed my energy tariff to a EV package to get off peak discounted electricity to charge my car during the night, the downside is I lost my ‘energy hub’ which gave me comfort in how many Kwhr using per day and at what time.

I monitored my consumption using my smart meter read out and after a week got bored and thought there must be an app that can do this for me - hence I stumbled across Loop Energy.

Lets be honest its not in the Energy companies interest to let you know your daily cost / consumption, but these guys can get ‘ industry information from your smart meter ‘ and get it to you in a couple of hours instead of a couple of days from the ‘big suppliers’

App can give you consumption in £ or Kwhr if you can find your tariff on their site.

Breath of fresh air to find a free service that helps consumers instead of confusing them.
The government should be ashamed how OFGEM and big suppliers have confused the UK with this Cap price for Average house instead of just saying the maximum tariff rate is £ xx.

Well done Loop Energy - since being on your app, I have increased the amount of insulation in my loft and fitted smart plugs to various appliances to remove phantom loads when on stand-by.
This weekend, its a double check to make sure all lights are LED.

If we all do a little bit to save the plant it will all add up in the end and Loop are doing their bit.

I've been using Loop for about 12 months now and love the fact I can assess daily useage. It's easier to use than my energy suppliers site. Easy to set up.

This is a great app and has been saving me money on my utility bills since using it. I tried a number of apps before coming across Loop and it is by far the easiest and most accurate. I’ve even been able to challenge my energy supplier, as they were miscalculating my usage and overcharging and inflating my monthly direct debits. The energy saving challenges are also really helpful which has again reduced my usage.
