Very bad service for returning a…

Very bad service for returning a product at Maple Longos. The worker should read the return and re purchase policies. She looked at me like I cannot return and repurchase. I told her I am returning my product and I don't have to buy from this location. I

Good product /bad people

1 star only because they have a great selection of products and often carry new trendy items not found elsewhere (olipop). Staff are horrible at the yonge/sheppard location in toronto.
So unfriendly, not helpful and rude. Prices are also quite high.

Bakery at Longos

Picked up a cake of the month (January) which looked very nice in the display case. Very disappointed with it ( coffee crisp cake). The cake was very dry and I am wondering if the cake decorator ran out of icing. There was very little icing on the inside as well as the outside. This is not the first time I've been disappointed with a Longos cake. Thought I would give them another try, but seriously considering not purchasing there again in future. At the price that they charge you would expect better quality.

Longos totally ruined Christmas Dinner

As a senior,I thought I’d order a premade Christmas and save the stress.. ordered it a couple weeks in advance and it was waiting for me when I went to pick it up on the 23rd. The sides, potatoes, green beans and the stuffing were delicious. What made this experience not more than a 2 star experience was the turkey itself which was, basically inedible because of some very odd, funky spices that they put on it, in huge quantity. You could not taste the turkey for whatever weird spices they heavily used. Wonder if anyone else had a similar experience? My experience totally ruined my Xmas dinner!

I will continue to shop a longos…

I will continue to shop a longos however I refuse to participate in self- checkout. I have always enjoyed the local suppliers at longos and also enjoyed the personal contact with the staff at the store. It has historically been my local grocery store where every customer is treated as a member of the longo s customer family. Self- checkout is absolutely the opposite of what I expect for customer services.

Please reconsider the move to self checkouts. If this concept persists and/ or is expanded I will likely seek out independent grocers that still offer staffed checkouts

Cashier customer service

The cashier didn’t pack my bags for me and instead she continued to scan things faster. Everyone I tried to grab something she kept turning the rotating table at the end with my groceries on it. I’m fine packing my own bags but don’t proceed to rush me and then watch me struggle.

Go Elsewhere! Longos stands for LONG GONE!

It was bad enough I got a cake from the bakery department which wasn’t up to standards but the worst was when I phoned customer service at head office to report it. She said what do you want us to do about it and obviously didn’t want to have anything to do with the issue. Empathy costs nothing. She obviously had a bad attitude to begin with Since the Sobeys takeover they have clearly gone to the dark side. Everything that the Longos family worked so hard for just got hijackacked. What a shame…..

Customer Service Terrible Experience

I am writing to express my concern regarding an incident I encountered Longos Rutherford store, which has been my primary grocery spot for several years. Overall, I have had positive experiences with your store, particularly appreciating the excellent selection of cheeses and the consistently friendly and approachable staff. However, on my recent visit, I had an unfortunate interaction with one of your employees named Laura, which left me feeling dissatisfied and frustrated.
During my visit, when I approached the deli counter, I was met with an unsmiling and unfriendly attitude from Laura. As I requested different cold cuts, I noticed that she handled the meats quite roughly, which was not only unpleasant to witness but also concerning for the quality of the products. It seemed that she may have been having a bad day, but it is important to ensure that customers are not at the receiving end of any frustrations or negativity from your employees.
I believe that consistent and positive customer service is crucial for the success of any business, and while this incident does not overshadow my overall positive experiences at Longos, I would appreciate if you could address this matter and provide appropriate feedback or training to Laura in order to prevent similar incidents in the future. It is essential for your employees to understand the importance of maintaining a courteous and respectful demeanor towards customers at all times.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope that my feedback can contribute to the ongoing improvement of customer service at your store. I look forward to seeing a positive change in the behavior of your employees.

My friend and I preordered 12 t bone…

My friend and I preordered 12 t bone steaks each which was going to be ready on Friday morning, when we got there the butcher was on break a woman served us and said he cut 12 and the butcher would be back very shortly the steaks turned out to be 15 to 16 dollars a piece I called my sister to find out why they were so much and she said they were 12 ounces and not 6 ounces like we ordered when I went back she told us they were 6 ounces I said I have my sister on the phone and figured out they were 12 not 6 when I questioned the woman she said yes they were 12 when I said I ordered 6 she said pointing her finger right in my face that 6 ounces were going to be a sliver and they would be classified as fast fry and the cost would be more, she was very very rude after my friend bought 100 dollars in groceries we decided to talk to the manager she said she would send the butcher up to the front of the store he did say he wasn’t thinking and that he will go cut some we waited for about 45 min and he brought up 23 not 24 which I’m sure was an honest mistake my friend is handicapped and could barely stand for that long my personal opinion is that she should of been made to come up and apologize or at least give us something complimentary maybe a couple extra steaks or something to try and make up for our bad experience it was longos in Ancaster and my name is Rose and my is rosehu3@hotmail. Com I never ever complain but also I have never been treated so rudely by anyone before pointing her finger in my face and lying to my face saying hey 6 ounces until I called her on it and I shop there all the time and never had such a bad experience with Longos it’s always been great going through all this this its just unacceptable thank you Rose

OVER-PRICING and MORE

OVER-PRICING:
. . . Is an understatement people. I have been buying San Benedetto, Natural Spring Water, for several years, at a price of $12.99 for 6 bottles, 1.6 L each. I chatted with a cashier today who said it was $7.99 not that long ago. People, are you sitting down? They have jacked the price up to $15.99. That's right, $3.00 mark-up, and not $0.30. My brain is on fire and I want to spit out more, but, not on this platform.

Of interest, read up on who owns Longos, and who is really in control. And here I thought it was a genuine little old itty bitty Italian grocery store looking after the little old itty bitty grocery shoppers . . . so to speak. No-Siree-Bob!!!

Longo's @ 5636 Glen Erin Drive Mississauga

I always hold the stand that the store is honest enough for me to validate the every receipt. However, Longo's at this location slapped me so hard. It looks like they I am newly moving to Mississauga. It happened around 5pm on May 31, 2023.
1. In the flyer for this week, the price for asparagus is $ 2.99/bundle. I took one of them in the sales area for this on-sale product. In my receipt it charged me $8.72.
2. The Deli of Lobster Roll [$ 8.99], which I bought 2, is totally not the same size of my friends living in other Longo's location. My 2 pieces put together is almost the same size of the Lobster Roll my friend got in Vaughan. How can I put the pictures here?

I shop at Longos 16th Ave.

I shop at Longos 16th Ave., Richmond Hill location everyday and had an excellent experience at the fish counter. Shabnam was very pleasant and friendly.
She went over and beyond in her efforts to help me.
She was professional, courteous, patient, happy to help out and showed excellent people skills. I know most of the employees at Longo's, Richmond Hill and found her to be the best one! I suspect you are fully aware of Shabnam's value to Longo's as a whole, but still I must let you know. I truly appreciate it.
I wish all staff had the same positive attitude and work ethic as she had shown me yesterday. Would you pass on these few laudatory comments to Shabnam and let her know that I am appreciative.

The Bayview store has the WORST store…

The Bayview store has the WORST store manager in retail. This clown Matt is obviously not qualified to be in this position how he got there only god know. Extremely RUDE uneducated and should not be out in public alone never mind be in charge of a grocery store. The produce manager VINCE needs to talk to a psychiatrist taking to him is like talking to jack Nicolson character from the shinning.The worst of all is the old man that works in the dept in the backroom Nick DISCUSTING RUDE this old man is a joke language is off the chart rude talking to him you will need a shower he is so greasy.How longos keeps this A hole is increable. WAKE UP LONGOS. Go to your Bayview store and see for yourself. Garbage.

Thank you, Stephanie!!

I had an excellent experience at Longo’s (Richmond Hill) yesterday during the purchase of a floral arrangement.
Even though Stephanie was busy serving two customers at the Customer Service counter, she gave me her attention to ask what I needed, to tell me that the florist is away, but that she could try helping me as best as she could as soon as soon as she’s free.
She went over and beyond in her efforts to help me select flowers for an arrangement I wanted to put together and took her time to wrap it up beautifully.
She was professional, courteous, patient, happy to help out, and showed excellent people skills to the point where I offered to write a review for her.
I wish all staff had the same positive attitude and work ethic as she had shown me yesterday.

No longer the same Longo’s

Sky high prices. Some on sale items in the flyer are nowhere to be found, and some are actually shown not being reduced on the shelves. The pizza of the month was a complete disappointment, little and very few toppings in spite of the many in its description . Previously, the small croissants have shrunken so much that it can hardly be toasted. Badly in need of a new identity. Will try to stay away for now.

We tried Longo's organic balsamic dressing and we enjoyed it very much. We bought it because it does not contain soya. Our daughter has an allergy to soya, an item that is found in many prepared food products making shopping a challenge.

inflation less than 10%, prices went up 200%
honey from 10 dollars to 24 dollars, toilet clean from 3 to 6, vegetables and fruits went up 100%
when you ask why they blame suppliers, when you ask them why do not change suppliers they said fortinos is
buying so we have to buy too. Bottom line everything is a rip off, I asked them to make a cost operation not to send workers to Fortinos and record prices.They told me everybody is doing this, that means every price is eyeball, no logic behind this.They prefer to stay with unsold items for ever, if you ask about cash flow now compare with 3 years ago they do not understand what are you talking about,WHAT A DISASTER, everyone wants to get rich very fast!!!
What is funny is they have advertise on every store now 100 items on sale , this make look stupid, you shoot up the price, did not work and you are looking for customers now???What a disaster!!!

Watch them on the Price per KG

Went to Longos at Thomas and Glen Erin Mississauga. Went to buy some meat. Bought some and then wanted to buy a thin mild sausauge it think called kolbalina thin. Sign posted said 1.89/KG. Counter person try to charge 2.49/KG. This was not the hot one that cost $2.49/KG
The counter person would not adjust the cost according to their posted sign but kept on about the code and if I wanted it..
This is surprising for Longos to not abide by their own price on the sign.
Getting increasingly disappointed with Longos. Pricing are getting higher and higher and less discounting as before. Really!! 30%
The counter person at the meat counter was surprised when I said no because you want to charge %25 more than what is on the sign. I walked away.

WORST Location (Ajax Ontario)

This is the WORST Longos location to work at. (Ajax, Ontario)

Majority of the employees don’t act normal there. They act like they are mental and they have the most disgusting attitude I have ever seen. The head office needs to fire 99% of the employees at the Ajax, Ontario location and start hiring people that act and talk normal to their customers. The females that work at this location act like mentally crazy b!tches. This location is a “wannabe” Longos. Everyone that I talk to says the exact same thing about the employees. This location has gone down hill. (BIG THUMBSDOWN)

The head office and management team should fire 99% of the employees at this location and hire new employees. All of their rotten employees are bringing this location down. This Ajax location has a very bad name and if the head office does not start changing things the sales will go down. This location is known to have mentally crazy employees who treat their customers horrible with no respect. They need to start hiring people that act like normal human beings and not people that act mentally disturbed.

Went to the Coppercreek location in…

Went to the Coppercreek location in Boxgrove Markham early one morning last month. I honestly thought they opened at 7am, walked in around 7:10am. There was a man changing their floor mats and the door was slightly open
So I went in. Did some shopping and went to the cashier area around 7:25sm. No one was there except what seemed like the Manager. He looked at me and very rudely told me they opened at 7:30am. He went on very angrily telling me I shouldn’t have came in. I told him in I thought they opened at 7am, he said that was pre-Covid. The man was unbelievably rude, can’t believe that he even worked in customer service. I left my cart and walked out. At the very least he could told me what time they opened and asked me to wait 5 mins. Needless to say I haven’t returned and will never. I live around the corner and been
Shopping there for over 15 years. Just like that morning I’ll go to Walmart down the street.
