Nightmare end of contract experience. BT call handlers accepted that I'd overpaid (foolishly, I didn't cancel my DD in time) but despite at least 4 promises to refund, I've now received 1 paper remind... See more

BT actively penalising elderly and loyal customers.
BT actively penalising elderly and loyal customers. 3 days of calls to try and remove an incorrect note on the account that my mother has a medical pendant when she never has had one. Also found out that they were charging £104.48 for a very basic system and would not even reduce to close that on offer to a new customer. Criminal really. Also informed my complaint process may be investigated and even if it is there is no requirement to phone the customer! How do we resolve the issue other than leaving. We are also an email hostage as an older person has no ability to change emails without considerable angst for her and her entire network of friends. Shame on you BT. I shall also be closing my account.
Since moving into my prolerty 3 minths…
Since moving into my prolerty 3 months ago i have moved from fibre back to copper. I have complained constantly as the broadband is basiclly non exsitant. Faults and complaints are NEVER RESOLVED they close complaints without them even being looked at..Openreach engineers dont bother turning up this company are ABSOLUTE SH**E they tell more lies than the cretins in the houses of paliament.
Yet again BT broadband fails to deliver…
Yet again BT broadband fails to deliver what they promise . I’ve got fiber connection and should be great internet .
I’ve had in the region of 8 new routers due to failures in the service which seems to go to pot every couple months . They run tests and tell you it’s working and you’re in your house and it’s quite clearly not working correctly. I’m moving as soon as contracts up . Do not consider BT for reliable broadband !
Awful
Awful - switched to full fiber, only to learn there would be no appreciative change in speed (75mb). Tried to switch providers, now they tell me they want £998 in cancellation fees. The link in the week preceding was broken on their site, so I had no idea what was going to happen. So now I am stuck with a low speed service for two years, or a bill for nearly one thousand pounds - no contact available anywhere. Disgusted.

Promise everything then fail to deliver, been with bt for years now i will leave after contract expires.Speed drops when the big match is on and then they bs you about your router,go elsewhere.
Absolutely awful experience!

Absolutely terrible experience with EE/BT
They have messed me around constantly for months. I first advised them i would like to remain their customer at my new property in Jan. They messed me around changing the dates for over a month. Finally they decided on a inconvenient date to install 24th April! 3 months!!
I am also still waiting on a refund it's been over 2 weeks. They lie and send contradicting emails. Blaming different teams and never taking ownership. The customer service agents in Stoke have been rude and argumentative with their customers. Totally unacceptable.
Worse customer service I have ever experienced. From someone who works in banking for nearly 20 years I have never seen or experienced anything like it. Beyond words how bad they are as at customer service.

Switched to BT broadband hoping for cheaper price but I was wrong. I experienced poor customer service and poor connection. Within a day of going broadband live I was sent a bill the next day. Even then my broadband connection was not working. Getting hold of someone is futile.
Don’t waste your money on BT internet
Don’t waste your money on BT internet. You can’t even play a game of FIFA that’s how bad it is. You are better with out internet 😂😂😂. They promise you full speed but ain’t true.
BT please give up and do something else apart from selling your internet to people. Big scam.

Bt cancelled my broadband after 3 yrs without notice. Then tried to sell me another package which will take 2 weeks to install at a much higher price
I was happy with the Broadband service…
I was happy with the Broadband service and TV worked wonderful, but these last couple of days the Broadband speed has fallen from 500mb to 30mb and even less at times. This of course affects the TV channels and the TV pixelates on most channels.
This I am not happy with, as it seem BT are cutting back on the Broadband speed.
Rectify ASAP, otherwise as I am within 30 days of start of the service I have a right to cancel everything.
Poor service large price increases
Whenever the speed falls below the guaranteed minimum, the app has an error where it can't send a report to BT. Also I have with them 5 month and they have just increased my price by 8.7%.

I'm tied in now but a warning the broadband is slow with very poor coverage even in a small house
customer service what customer service!!!
Im picking up 27mbps and they try to sell me a booster which doesn't work
as soon as the contract is up I'm OUT!!
Pointless credit check. They do not care.
Moved into a home they already supplied. They offered full fibre as 'new in the area'. Open reach came out to mark the route from the junction box- they called to fix a date and I couldn't do it. Was told they cant book in advance so they will call me back. Had repeated messages to say 'we are working hard to get you connected'. They sent us the kit. Called up today because it has been a couple of weeks and the order has 'timed out'. No documentation of conversations, nothing to say this happened. The guy tried is best to raise a complaint but we've now been asked to send the kit back so I'm guessing its still timed out. What a waste of my time and a credit check. They do not care.
£500.00 charged to send out an engineer…
£500.00 charged to send out an engineer for a Cloud System that hasn't worked since installation!
unbelievable!!!!
AVOID
I cannot believe how appallingly BT has handled this. As a business customer, the level of service we’ve received has been unacceptable.
We ordered BT Business Broadband in mid-December. It is now 23 January and we are still waiting for an engineer to attend site to install a simple ONT box. For two weeks straight, engineers have failed to turn up at all. The one engineer who did arrive came to investigate a fibre issue — despite us repeatedly and clearly explaining that the fibre is fine and that the previous tenant removed the ONT box, which simply needs replacing.
This incompetence has caused serious disruption and financial loss to our business. We will be seeking compensation for loss of earnings as a direct result of BT’s failure to deliver the service we are paying for.
My advice to any business considering BT or Openreach: avoid them at all costs. Communication is non-existent, promises are meaningless, and progress is painfully slow. At this point, it would genuinely be quicker to send a letter than an email — or read an encyclopaedia instead of using Google.
Awful experience to quit
The only reason for this star is for the reliability of their broadband service. They don't value existing customers and desperately want to overcharge them.
When my contract almost ended I called the customer service looking for offering, they offered me a price worse than new customer. When I mentioned about a package from other provider with 60% of their price and 3x the speed, they "respected" my decision to go for it, which is fine as that is their business decision.
So I switched to other provider but than they called me with a much better offer, I turned down because I had already signed up a new provider. When the contract ended I found that BT was still providing service so I called them to see what was going on. The customer service said the system shows the end date is 10 days after the contract end date, absolute non-sense and they asked me to return the broadband kits.
A month later I found that they still charged me the days after contract ended. So another call but they insisted to charge me a couple of days before I returned the kit. 3 months after contract ended I still haven't gotten the refund, it becomes a credit amount in my BT account!
I wasted at least 3 hours for this non-sense calls, one thing I want to mention is the customer service always ask you the reason to leave, the first and second times you may think this is a legit question, but they still ask you the same question after 5+ calls.
Generally broadband is a good and…
Generally broadband is a good and reliable service. It went down today for a couple of hours and was fixed remotely.
Only issue is lack of documentation. Until I logged a fault I did not know my service number! But I do now.
Overcharged on my account
Overcharged on my account - complained, 'resolved'...same issue next month ...no compensation offered...I challenged this, they offered me £10...joke. choose a different broadband provider!
2 stars because of Tyler
Only 2 stars because Tyler on support is great and gives regular updates. But cannot get internet for over 3 weeks because of Openreach.
