This was by far the worst car rental experience I have ever had.

We paid for our rental car in full before our trip. Due to an exceptionally long passport control process at Bari Airport, which was completely beyond our control, we arrived after the Locauto office had closed. Surprisingly, Locauto was the only car rental company at the airport that was closed at that time.

We immediately tried to contact Locauto by phone, email and live chat but received no meaningful assistance. Instead, we were redirected to Booking/Rentalcars, who also refused to take responsibility or provide a solution. We were left stranded at the airport late at night and had to pay €70 just to get to our accommodation.

The next morning, we had to pay for transportation again to travel all the way from Monopoli back to Bari Airport. Instead of honoring our fully paid reservation or offering any assistance, we were told that our only option was to pay again and make a completely new reservation for another car.

As a result, we lost money, wasted valuable vacation time, paid for multiple transfers, and had to pay for a second rental despite already having paid for the first one in full. The lack of customer service, communication, and willingness to help was completely unacceptable

Quick and easy check in, pick up and and drop off. Friendly staff, nice car, I have no complaints and would definitely recommend Locauto in Bari :)

Even though we have arrived 5 hours earlier than it was originaly booked, kind lady at the desk found the solution for us. Car was safe and new, everything went smooth. Returning is very easy, even out of their working hours with no extra charge.

Everything great. No problems with the car or the contract.

Brand new car, grate range, easy to take and easy to drive. Nice and friendly staff.

Good car, easy pick-up and drop-off with none of the italian car rental dramas we've experienced with other companies. Only two issues - 1) we were told the fuel tank was full whereas it was only 3/4 but we took a picture and they immediately noted it on the account, 2) the charge on my credit card took almost a month to disappear which seems totally unnecessary. There is very little parking for Locauto cars at Bari Airport but I doubt that's their problem.

Friendly customer service, check in and out was seamless, vehicle was clean. 👍

​The car rental process with Locauto in Bari at the airport was very fast and smooth. Everything went perfectly fine from start to finish. Although we didn't get the exact car model we originally booked, we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a higher-class BYD, even the parking was then a little bit complicated with bigger car.

I had a great experience with Locauto in June 2026. Pick up in Bari and drop off in Brindisi. Collection was easy and simple-my chosen car was not available so it was swapped with similar. Staff were helpful and friendly!

Be aware the queues for collection in the airport were quite long. HOWEVER please note-which I did not realise-if you have done online check in you can skip the queue in the arrival terminal and go straight to the car collection point. I spent about 45 minutes in the queue and got to the front for them to say I didn't need to wait in line at all! They took a copy of my driving licence, I had to sign the document and then collected the car-so easy and no additional fees made to be paid on the day! (I had opted for the extra insurance etc through Discovery Cars).

Drop off was a bit confusing as there was no space to pull the car up next to the office-I had to park the car and go hand in the keys which is different to past experiences.

Overall I was happy with my experience with Locauto!

Very easy to pick up and return the car. The Skoda car would not be my favourite but it was reliable so no complaints. Staff were very good and polite.

We are extremely satisfied with the service. The team is exceptionally helpful, patient, fast, and professional. We would gladly and confidently use their services again!

They gave me a very nice and new car. Excellent smart check in process, they delived the car immediately. Only thing that I want to mention is that the tank was not full when I received the car and they require a full tank in check out. Of course this was my mistake as I did not took a photo when I received the car. Anyways, excellent experience.
