I would not recommend them

I would not recommend them. I filled out the very first thing online and it said congratulations you have been approved. So I continuing running around getting everything they ask for to proceed to get my loan to get an email after denying me. They should not have it come up and say your approved when they don't know for sure. That's false advertising. So it was a big waste of my time to be told no after it originally said I was approved.
So they recieved a bunch of information from me now because it originally said I was approved. Now I feel I need to change all my banking stuff wondering if it is a scan or not.

DO NOT BORROW A DIME FROM LOAN AWAY!

-1000 stars!! My ex defaulted on a Loan Away loan. They looked me up online called my work and boss multiple times. When that wasn’t enough they found me on Facebook and called my entire family, excluding my Grandmother who they had in complete tears more than once. I DIDN'T SIGN ANYTHING! IT WAS NOT MY LOAN!! After it was said and done my ex paid over $11,000 for a $1,500. Avoid these horrible loan sharks at any cost. I promise you, you will regret the day you borrowed money from them. They are horrible, awful, evil, corporation. Please do yourself the biggest favour and do not take a dime from these people!

Extremely Unprofessional

Extremely Unprofessional

If you fall behind on payments, they post on your Facebook and contact your friends and family on there as well. When trying to discuss payment arrangements or my situation with them, they are extremely rude and condescending.

I have NEVER been treated this badly by any creditor in my life. I regret getting a loan through them.

Very unprofessional company. Nothing but lies

This company doesn’t have a clue about taking care of the client. Have a loan that I wanted to refinance. Was told month after month. Call back next month. Finally got a response saying get your loan under 2500 and we can refinance. Well I did that. Now I’m told I don’t meet the criteria for refinancing. Have now been told once I get my loan under 2000 I can refinance. Nothing but lies from this company. Do not believe anything these people tell you. Better yet look for someone else to borrow money from. These people only care about the money. First they promise everything but in reality they just want to rip you off. Very unprofessional.

Advice from law enforcement

I work with the RCMP after a loan applicant reported suspicious activity. In speaking with the agent he claimed to be based out of Markham Ontario Canada. When I asked him if that was where the Stampeders played (a Canadian Football League team) he said yes. When I told him that the Stampeders play in Calgary Alberta he had no response. The loan applicant was required to send 300 in Google play cards and then asked for further insurance securities. Although not certain it is very likely this is an overseas outfit designed to make as much money as possible and only provide limited promised funds. Please use reputable banks/organizations that you can visit in person. If any loan company ever asks for gift cards of any kind, is aggressive in any way, or demands payment for services not rendered, do not accept them.

Misleading Business-Stay away and beware!

I wish I would have seen these reviews first as I have noticed many clients have experienced the same thing.

Basically I applied and was informed I was preapproved-good news right!
I received an email and phone call and provided more information and received an email to state i was approved-even better right!
Nope-1 hour later I received an email(not even a call) and was told I did not meet the min. requirements.

Why would any company mislead someone on this and not just be upfront about the criteria and be honest and professional and direct-DO NOT MISLEAD-NOT PROFESSIONAL!

Stay Away. No Cross Reference in Company

Got pre-approved. Sent in documents. Said I was approved AFTER checking my credit and then a day later told me it was no longer approved. The next day I received another email from them saying I was pre-approved. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I asked to be unsubscribed. I also started to receive loan ads from different agencies as if they are selling information. Be wary of who you give your information to.

Sketchy at best! Their loan application asks for extremely personal information before you know if you’re approved.
Very good thing I came here to see these reviews before I went ahead and actually applied for the loan!

STAY AWAY FROM LOAN AWAY!!

I had a loan from loan away, everything was going fine until I got sick. I was in hospital with diabetic complications, and my daughter called them to have insurance forms sent to her so my doctor could fill them out. She was told that I "didn't qualify" for the insurance even though I was FORCED to pay almost $40 a payment. Now, they are threatening me with small claims court and they're going to take my car and blah blah. I have to seek out legal advice.
STAY AWAY FROM LOAN AWAY!!!

Do not get a loan with Loan Away

Take out 2500 be ready to pay up to 6000 on their 36 month term.

Do not use, rude when you can't pay. Its upsetting that they dont use the insurance that you are sucked into paying.

I understand we get into tough situations, but the interest is ridiculous. And their customer service is horrendous.

Shady business

Applied online 3 days ago with this company. According to their website you get approved in 20 minutes even with bad credit. Sent a few emails asking what was going on with my application. Sent messages via facebook...still nothing. After leaving a message on facebook telling them i had given them a lot of personal information and was not comfortable not being able to reach anyone there i would call the police. Finally got phone call from them saying after the messages i left on facebook to them they will have to refuse my application due to bad credit history....website says "bad credit loans"...anyways im happy it did not get approved after reading all the comments on this website.

They are crooks

UPDATE: since I provided the negative reviews all over the internet the rude lady Sumati just phoned me from Loan Away and has given me till the end of the today to pay $800 or they are upping it to $1200. I have contacted the Better Busiiness Bureau and seeking legal advice. I recommend anyone going through something similar to do the same. They need to be made accountable.

They are crooks. I took out a $1000 loan for 1 year from them back in May 2016. In September I was laid off work (7 payments in) and informed them of my situation. Each payment I made paid into their insurance for situations like this. The first person I spoke with refused to assist me in obtaining the insurance claim information. I was finally able to obtain it through another woman working there and made my claim. The insurance company made 12 payment on my behalf. Throughout this time they still harassed me for payments regularly. After the insurance confirmed the final payment on the account they went quiet. I tried reaching out to them to find out what was remaining to settle the account and they never got back to me so i figured everything was settled. In March 2018 i pulled my credit report to see that they were reporting that i owed them $1700. So again i emailed them with all the details including the final letter from the insurance confirming they had paid $716. Again no response. I finally decided to call and was informed by a very rude lady that now I owe them $1900. She refused to put me through to a manager as well as providing me with her name. I hung up the phone and received a call back from an apparent supervisor who sounded exactly like the original lady I spoke with. Again no manager is available. I offered them $400 to settle this account. She said she would talk to her manager. But I thought her manager wasnt available. She called me back with $800 to settle which is ludicrous. I pleaded with them to even except $600, but she kept saying not possible. If I dont pay them $800 by October they are upping it to $1200.

Stay away from this unethical company full of liars and crooks.

Don't use loan away!!!!! They are a bunch of scammers!

do not ever ever ever deal with this company as they are nothing but a bunch of thieves who prey on individuals who are struggling in debt. At a moment in life when I was deep in debt I had asked for a loan which they denied but explained to me about a secured loan where I would pay into it for 24 month, earn some interest and that they would also bring my credit rating up by reporting to the credit bureau. due to an emergency 5 months before my loan was supposed to be released I had asked them to return the funds. at which the agent and the manager who are heartless ppl by the way kept saying that I should have read the contract and that they couldn't release the funds. up until today my credit rating hasn't gone up or improved and then they say that there will be a 400$ admin fee for doing absolutely nothing for me and on top of that charge me interest in the amt of 39% and guess the amt of interest I will be earning? 1.5%!!! not even banks take advantage of you like this. so none of this is explained initially and when brought up they go through the same old excuse "Didn't you read the contract???" even if you are dying and are in need of your funds they will still hold it hostage trying to milk you of every single cent of interest and their only response would be a cold hearted you have to make other arraingements. DO NOT ...i implore you no matter how much you are in debt ... DO NOT ever deal with this company as they stand to benefit from your despair. and if you sign that contract you are making a deal that is worse than signing with the devil.

Update: just to give you an example of how they are stealing your hard earned money.
I am paying 77.94$ bi weekly since aug 26, 2016 for a supposed secured loan of 2000$.
Aug 30th and I'm yet to receive my chq a year in advance but for the paltry sum of 1600$. But the will still keep taking money out until Aug 2019. As per my calculations over 3 years that's 156 weeks so biweekly that's 78 times they will be taking out 77.94$ and that comes to 6079.32$. So they stand to profit an amt of 4479.32$ . And how do they sleep at night after pulling of such a crime??? PEACEFULLY WITH NO REGRETS!!!
