Terrible communication- might be a scam

We bought a bed in September. Took months to even give me the drawings (which were promised to receive after one week of purchase). Ana also promised we would get the bed by late December. I saw pictures of it being built so I relaxed, even though the communication has been horrible (no follow up often). Now it’s almost March. The delivery date keeps getting pushed. And often zero response/ reply from Ana. Promised pictures- never sent. Very, Very stressful. Linas and Sons website is now gone. Nobody updated us with these changes. All these bad reviews make me question my order. I’ll need to get my bank involved now.
The original reviews were good, often just saying poor communication and delays- but people got their beds and were happy. Now, it doesn’t seem that is the case anymore. I was promised delivery next week- but I’m sure there will be more delays. And excuses. Of no response…

Update- in the last week, I have had good response and updates. Hoping for the best!

be aware!

I placed an order for a bed on June 25. After months of repeated assurances and missed delivery promises, I cancelled the order in December due to ongoing misinformation regarding the delivery date.

The company initially refused to issue a refund. Fortunately, I had paid through PayPal, which ultimately protected my purchase. Throughout the process, I felt I had to repeatedly chase and request the return of my own money, and the communication I received was unprofessional and dismissive.

After I posted a negative review, I was contacted and asked to remove it, with promises of a complimentary bed as compensation. Two months later, nothing has been delivered and no further action has been taken.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. I never received a product, and communication consisted of repeated promises that were not fulfilled. I would strongly advise others to exercise caution — if an offer appears too good to be true, it likely is.

I order a castle bed back in August…

I order a castle bed back in August 2025. I was told it would be here in October, then again before Christmas. Last communication was that it would be here this week 1st week of February2026. I have spammed her with tons of emails and absolutely no communication on delivering the bed, tracking number or a refund. Is there a BBB in her country to send her to? Maybe I need to hire an attorney to go after my funds and then make her pay my attorney fees as well when I send her to court!

TOTAL SCAM

We ordered a Princess castle bed back in December of 2024. It is almost February of 2026. We still never received the bed. Ana was in communication with us and then suddenly just stopped. We had no bed. I contacted on Etsy and through Instagram messenger and there were always promises and excuses. She finally said after a year that she wouldn’t mind refunding. Now two months later I received an email that says that the shop has closed and they are bankrupt. We lost on on a lot of money and still have no product. DO NOT ORDER THIS BED!!

I ordered a castle bed for my daughter…

I ordered a castle bed for my daughter back in June of 2025. I was told that it would be done in December. There was no communication, and finally Ana started to reply back but its always another excuse. Now i am seeing all of these other bad reviews since i ordered and it looks like its happening to many people.

Order is over 3 months late

Order is over 3 months late, no communication from seller. They keep saying they are shipping the items but never ship them. Received 1/3 pieces and it arrived broken. Not sure what is going on with this seller but it's unacceptable.

Buyer beware

Update 5/6/26
We received a replacement for the beds a couple of months ago. Due to the stress, I quit updating. Anna recently reminded me that I never updated this. My kids went through the holidays with no beds. She promised several times the replacement bed would be here before Christmas (ordered early October,) then promised in a week, and eventually would say she shipped them a couple of days prior - but later admitted she didn’t. The quality of the replacement beds is much worse than the original beds that broke on the way here and were missing parts they forgot to install. These new beds have predrilled holes like the first beds, but these are placed literally on the edges of pine boards. We cannot move the beds without hearing cracking. It is a shame.
What’s worse is that she never replied once over the months to my mother who bought the beds on her own Etsy account, no matter how much I begged her to acknowledge her. I think this was to mislead Etsy by speaking to me on my account, and avoiding the ordering account but Etsy was able to see my messages from her side. I had finally accepted she wasn’t sending the beds after so many blatant lies, very unhinged rudeness, and repeatedly trauma dumping her personal issues on me. I felt bad for her but I didn’t ask for months of trauma bonding and lashing out. We paid for beds and never even wanted to speak to anyone. I’m very surprised they showed up. The way she spoke to me on multiple occasions, she should be ashamed of.
I really wish I could delete this review as she’d like, but dealing with the stress of this and her telling weird stories for months while both of my kids went without beds is something I don’t want others to go through. I hope others can be aware of the situation they may be getting into. Earlier this year I was having heart pains. I’m sure I’m not the only person who doesn’t have the health and time to dealing drama. They should be held accountable for how much stress they caused my family. That wouldn’t fly with a US based business. That reminds me, she says Lina’s and Sons isn’t her business but a business they build for. So who are they as a business?

Ana sent this message on 1/7/26 - "Hello. I understand how it looks, so I will be completely honest this time.
1. Beds are made and ready to dispatch - the only reason they are still not - I am having extreme problems with finances and can’t pay 900$ for FedEx upfront. I will have the money next week and will update once they are dispatched.
2. That is the same reason I can’t refund myself now, because of empty account.
I am very sorry for everything we put you through. I have faced extreme problems with production this winter and am suffering huge loses, that affect replacement dispatch, but I promise it will come as promised."

So she's admitted to being dishonest with us. If she would have told us that she was in a situation and refunded us, this would have been over with months ago. This is wayyy more than I bargained for. Etsy is refunding us. It's a week since she sent this message, the beds have not been shipping out. It's all lies with her. Why keep lieing? I feel bad for her situation, but I didn't ask for this.

Sent two broken beds. The headboard and foot boards were broken on one bed. Both beds had warped side boards. One had missing metal threads on some peices. Ana refused to reply to my elderly mother who bought the beds, even after my mother officially did a help request on etsy. Told me on my etsy account several times that she was replacing the bed and refunding us. She has even claimed a couple of times that she sent the beds and will soon send tracking but I keep finding out they were not actually shipped. She went as far as to promise unbroken beds before Christmas, but my children ended up with no beds for the holidays. Her last message was her blaming esty for selling too many beds, her claim that she cannot refund due to having to freeze her etsy account and how she's a full time mother and cannot manager her business (her words in verbatim, not mine). I sell on etsy and know very well that she can set the number of sales she makes by adjusting quantity and even with a frozen shop - she can manage her orders and issue refunds. The thing is we never even asked for a refund. We asked for non broken peices. She's giving us the run around, pretending to have shipped products then blaming fedex and Etsy after not shipping them. Why would you ship soft pine more then half way across the globe with no padding at all, just cardboard? And why would you intentionally lie about having shipped them? Also the broken beds smelled very strong of beer. My mother paid a fortune for my kids to have these beds, in early October 2025. It's now January and my kids still don't have beds. That's not fair to the kids. She could simply say she can't fix the problem.

Extremely Unreliable

Extremely Unreliable – Avoid This Company

I placed an order in early June for an expensive custom castle bed for my daughter, with an agreed delivery date in November. From September onward, I repeatedly contacted the company for updates. Communication was slow and inconsistent, handled by a representative named Ana.

Over several months, I was provided with multiple delivery dates, all of which turned out to be false. Each time, I was reassured that everything was on track. On the very day the bed was supposed to be delivered, I was informed that the company did not even have the raw materials to produce it.

Despite further promises of updates and new delivery dates, the same situation repeated itself: reassurance until the delivery date, followed by last-minute confirmation that the bed would not arrive.

When I finally requested a refund, the response was alarming. I was told the company had no liquidity and could not refund me. I was asked to wait “two days,” then refused entirely—even after I requested an additional two weeks to allow them time to return my money.

Had I not paid through PayPal, and opened a claim one day before the six-month deadline, I would have lost both the money and the product. This company showed no accountability, and the representative did not believe they had done anything wrong.

Based on my experience, I strongly advise against doing business with this company. The lack of transparency, repeated misinformation, and refusal to issue a refund raise serious concerns about their business practices.

SUPER HAPPY WITH PURCHASE!!!

Ok I was definitely skeptical of this being a legit company but Ana is definitely as nice as she sounds. There was major delays with receiving our bed but Ana always responded to my questions and made things right. If you're looking for something super customizable they are they way to go. We wanted a Darling Family style house bed from Peter Pan for our Neverland themed room and I am super happy with how it turned out. I sent the colors we wanted and the design that we needed to fit the space. The bottom bunk is definitely strong enough to hold me and my two year old every night for story time (though if he gets way bigger I might invest in some metal slats).

My only negatives was the time it took to get it but honestly for how customizable it was, it was definitely worth the wait. For reference we ordered in July and received the bed in December. Also, I was expecting a different railing style but honestly it ended up working out better for our space and what we put along the steps.

I would say be very specific everything you want and they will make it happen. Be sure to include any features that you want even if they're in some of the online pictures (i.e. the railing). Overall my two year old is in love and so excited to move to the top bunk when his brother gets older. Wish it would let me upload a picture but I think a couple I sent are on Linas and Sons insta page.

Legit company with a significant backlog

I would absolutely purchase this bed again. My daughter loves it. If you are not in a rush to get the bed, it's well worth it for the quality. The company would do well to create a better communication plan with customers because I was also worried I had been scammed. But they are legit, and amazing.

PROS
- High-quality construction, clearly designed by someone very talented
- Accurate instructions, though they require a short learning curve
- Bed is a hit with children, making them feel like royalty

CONS
- Extremely long shipping time (took 6 months instead of the promised 6 weeks)
- Customer service is not proactive and often unresponsive
- Only one customer service representative, Ana, who is lovely but clearly overworked

This company is legit. They did eventually send the castle bed. However, i had already purchased another bed at that point, so i gave it to a friend for his child. (He says its a decent bed only complaints were it creaks alot and there should be wood to prevent falls for the slide and the tower base.)
My credit card refunded most of the money, so they sent the bed even though the payment was returned to me. I don't know if it's a cultural thing, but please do not expect great customer service. Delays will not be communicated unless you reach out to them regularly. It took them 3-4 days to respond most of the time. Overall, decent product, and you support a small business. Just don't be in a rush to get your product, and it will work out fine.

Great quality product (Castle Bed)

Lina’s and Sons makes excellent products. I have discovered that this is a small business company, so custom orders may take some extra time for production and shipping. At some point I was very worried about our delayed order, but to a great surprise, everything turned out wonderful. Ana, the owner, has always communicated openly about the situation, accommodated custom requests for the order, and worked a fair deal with us based on the situation. We have received a beautiful, one of a kind castle bed for our little princess, and it was definitely worth the wait. It took us a minute to put it together, but the end product did not disappoint. Thank you, Linasandsons for the beautiful bed and for the experience that turned out to be great in the end!
