Very poor customer service supporting a good product. I wouldn't recommend using their bulbs as there is no support when things are faulty.

Completely agree with other reviews, their service is a salad. Bought an item in 2018, I raised a warranty with them after 6 months. and I'm still waiting for my replacement. They're not able to give me a firm ETA or even a rough ETA of 3 months.
Total Waste of Money.
I cannot tell you how poor these bulbs are or how bad the customer service is.
There is no phone number to contact LIFX. They do not reply to claims to replace broken bulbs. They endlessly cancel the warranty claims.
I bought four bulbs and three failed to work within four weeks.
I am still stuck with these incredibly expensive bulbs and cannot deal with LIFX at all to get them replaced.
I will now contact Amazon and request a refund on those four and another four I bought.
Don't waste your money because the stress caused by the zero customer service is not worth it. I liked the bulbs at first but what is the point in expensive bulbs that fail to work so quickly?
Stick to Philips Hue that I've had for years without a single issue.
Shame on you LIFX. You are a disgrace and what you are doing is illegal in the UK.
When it works.. but..
Firstly its a shame to see no acknowledgement of their mistakes in reply to these reviews. I own the lifx beam and 2 mini bulbs, when they work, theyre excellent, love the colours and the brightness. But the app, its just awful, since connecting my beam, when I try to change the colour / brightness, it jerks back to another colour or brightness setting, its so frustrating, I dont get why they cant fix this, they're destroying what could have been a great brand. I also keep having to reset the beam which is beyond annoying since I have all my cables and power bricks attached to the underside of my desk.

Was really pleased with the led strip…
Was really pleased with the led strip when it worked. Product flashed rainbow colours after 4weeks. Raised a ‘ticket’ 3weeks ago and still waiting a response - wish me luck and maybe buy Philips Hue.
Pick a different brand.
Bulb worked great for 6-12 months, they pushed out an automatic update that bricked the bulbs. Came home to rainbow colours in my house and no way to stop it.

I have to agree with the other reviews this item is absolutely not fit for purpose, does not link with alexa, and the lifx website guides don't even match up with what is shown on the app.
It does not work with alexa, except for the lucky few who seem to have got it working allbeit temporarily it seems.
I also think its disgusting that amazon is not allowing reviews on this item so you cant even warn others about the issue. It says only 'verified' reviews allowed but regardless of whether you purchased it legtimiately from amazon on prime day it still doesnt let you review. This is essentially censorship.
After complaining to amazon echo team I got an email back asking me to be patient and see if the developers fix it. Sorry but if you're going to put out these bulbs for a prime day special with the intention of selling tens if not hundreds of thousands of units they should be up to par BEFOREHAND, not try and bang out a quick fix for it after the fact. Is nobody actually TESTING these products or was it just a way of getting rid of dead stock knowing most people won't bother to return for the measly £3 youd get back due to the offer.
I feel bad for anyone receiving these bulbs as a christmas gift, you've nothing but a headache ahead.

Worst app and worst support ever.
I used to love their lights and app, but the latest UI update turned it all into a big waste of time and money. I had to throw them all out, the new app user interface has made them unreliable and unusable. Apple Watch app is even worse. Support is complete garbage. What a scam. If they’d just left it as it was, I probably would have been a lifetime customer, but would recommend to anyone to STAY AWAY!

Just commenting on the bulbs as I have not needed customer service support. Judging by the prior reviews, I hope I won't need the support! I bought them all directly from Best Buy. We have 15 bulbs throughout the inside and outside of our home. Super easy to set up, assign to groups, and use via Alexa or from the app itself. After a short learning curve to adjust to the updated version of the app (preferred the original version), everything runs as expected. Only problems occur after a power outage, then sometimes have to disconnect a bulb and then screw it back in. Usually pairs back up almost immediately. On rare occasion, a light may disconnect from wifi. No idea why. But easy enough to pair again. Really like the color variations, the ability to set different moods, especially with the outdoor bulbs. Cool effects during the different Holidays! No complaints here!

Wish I could give a review of LIFX customer service, but have not received any. Has been a month now, even with COVID that is a dismal way to treat customers who purchased a premium priced product. I can't and won't be recommending LIFX to anyone in the market for smart bulbs.

They have no idea what customer service is. They shipped a faulty bulb to me and email after email from me is unanswered. Happy to take your money and after that you are on your own. Best advise I can give you is to stay clear of them and buy from other companies.
FIX YOUR APP, LIFX!
I created this account just to share my frustration with LIFX.
The lamps themselves are fine. But the app is absolutely terrible. It is simply unresponsive/broken. It has poor UX design, which I could ignore if the app actually worked. But it doesn't!
The Descent of the Interface
I bought my first LIFX bulbs from their Kickstarter many years ago. I bought a few more a few years later. So since their launch, I have seen the product actually get worse. Since the beginning, the customer support has always been a myth. But the user interface has been an ongoing nightmare. They periodically make HUGE changes with no relationship to previous versions. My customizations and settings usually get deleted. And on this current version I have spent two weeks trying to figure out how to fix my custom scenes (I set hem, one day they just switch to totally different colors, and there seems to be no way to edit a scene, at all.) The original interface had all the same functionality but was SO MUCH more user-friendly, and actually did something when you clicked it. This "startup" has had eight years to get its s**t together, but got worse instead.
Lifx no refund
I bought some lights from Lifx and was not completely satisfied with the product. so i wrote to them (4 times over 6 months) and tried to send it back but they never answered.
Very,very disappointed in support
Their customer support suck’s. I spent a small fortune on their technology and they can not even list a phone number. I am 65 years old with oncoming dementia. I can’t follow written instructions well and can’t set them up again. I bought these a few years back and they worked fine, then they changed stuff and they do not work anymore, and I sent emails and they ask stupid questions that I can’t answer. They think everyone in the world is as tech savvy as they think they are. A person that wants good reviews should treat people better. I wish they would buy them back they are no good to me.
