Refund

I had been emailing Laybuy since January for a refund. I had spoken with one person (Mady) who requested unbelievable amounts of evidence for my 3 refunds. To the point I had to spend 2 hours on the phone to Amazon requesting that they send me a letter to help. They stopped communicating with me in February, I still continued to email but no response. I still hadn’t received a refund by 1st May. I contacted Laybuy again and was emailed back the same day by Mikara, who was able to issue 2 refunds the same day, I then emailed again regarding my third refund, to which she was able to refund the next day. After all of this I have waited 4 months to have £200 in total refunded, and Mikara was able to get these refunded within 24 hours of contacting her. I can’t thank her enough for the support she gave to me!!! Mikara deserves a pay rise ❤️

I used to love this app as it was…

I used to love this app as it was weekly payments as I get paid weekly so the one app that really worked for me financially I used to bulk buy my cat litter cat food etc, no eBay Amazon PLT or in the style. Most company’s I never heard off now a real shame I imagine they’ve lost a lot of intrest since update.

Out of pocket and no reply

Ordered £178 of goods on Amazon using laybuy in Jan 2024 changed my mind on one item in the order, value £80, was still charged for all items and made all payments.

My account was used fraudulently...& No responses..

My account was used fraudulently, purchasing something on Foot Asylum without my consent or knowledge. I contacted Laybuy about this initially with no response.
My bank cancelled my card to prevent further payments from being taken out.
I then contacted Foot Asylum who was unable to find the link to the payment, especially as it was clearly a different name/address etc used for the order.
I have now followed up with Laybuy EVERY DAY since, and it now shows that I am overdue a payment, getting chased for this, which I know in the long run could impact my credit score.
Contacting Foot Asylum again, they managed to find the order, but it had already been shipped out - couldn't disclose as to who or where.
So because of Laybuy's abysmal response time, Foot asylum have lost out on money and I am now in arrears for an order I DIDN'T PLACE.
We have emailed, contacted on their app, and even sent several facebook messages; none of which have even been read.
If Laybuy were able to finally investigate this in a timely fashion, I would have considered continuing to use them, but it would appear as though I am not the first to have this experience...

Dreadful unresponsive company

I have told them countless times I cannot access my account to make payments.

Because of this I am now incurring late fees but this is not my fault

I have emailed them over ten times, this week and had about one reply back

My dogs could run this company better. I am surprised they are still in business.

There is no phone number to contact them so what am I supposed to do?

If their aim in life is to make my life very complicated, they are doing an excellent job at it!

I would not recommend them to anybody, and I'm surprised that Trading Standards have not got involved with them. They seriously need to pull their socks up!!

3 times my account been frozen by them…

3 times my account been frozen by them despite paying before due date ,never missing a payment and it's always technical issues they say ! Now amazon and ebay gone they were the ones I used the most. No longer any good to me so I'm closing my account. Customer Service shocking aswell takes up to 10 days to get my account activated again !!!

Buy-now pay-later (BNPL) firm Laybuy has put itself up for sale and is hunting for potential buyers following a turbulent few years on the public markets, City A.M. can reveal.

The Kiwi fintech firm, which launched in 2017 and once boasted around 766,000 customers across the UK, Australia and New Zealand, is looking to delist from the New Zealand’s junior stock exchange Catalist and move into private ownership, sources familiar with the matter told City A.M.

Laybuy has faced a tough period since raising $80m (£40m) on the Aussie stock market in 2020 at a value of some $358m (£184m). Last January, the company scrapped its Sydney listing after a slump in its share price and said it would swap to the small business-focused market Catalist.

The fintech firm currently has a value of around £4.3m on Catalist, which is regarded as a feeder to New Zealand’s Exchange, known as the NZX.

While Laybuy’s active UK customers peaked at around 610,000 in March 2022, that number had slumped to roughly 484,000 at the end the year.

BNPL firms have also been hit by a slowdown as shoppers have tightened the purse strings during the cost of living crisis. Laybuy removed major retailers like Amazon, Ebay and Marks & Spencer from its platform earlier this month.

I closed my account with layby last…

I closed my account with layby last year. I received a refund from Amazon in February but the order was originally payed for by my layby card. I've sent them a few emails and dm on messenger as they need to manually refund it for me. I've had no response from them at all.

Hate this App since the new update

Hate this App since the new update. Why isn’t Laybuy fixing this? The latest reviews on Apple Store all say the same thing it’s awful! You can’t plan out your finances and repayments since there’s no dates anymore. The interface is so ugly. It just depresses me having to use it so I don’t anymore, much prefer Clearpay or zilch. Since the new update I’ve have so so many late payments and incurred so many late fees. This was never an issue before the update. They’ve taken stores off it and made it harder to navigate. Completely awful I have no idea why Laybuy messed with a good thing.

The app is completely useless now since…

The app is completely useless now since taking amazon and ebay off of the app. Used to be extremely good and helpful for families with not a lot of income but now it's useless.

DO NOT USE THIS APP!

They allowed someone onto my account and spend loads of money on different sites on my card! And I’ve been trying to contact them for weeks and weeks to tell them it was fraud. They still haven’t got back to me and have sent the unpaid payments to a debt collector! I’ve been messaging and emailing them to make a complaint and to stop the debt as the payments were fraud but still no answer!!! Absolutely shocking app!! Disgusting service and disgusting security system! Don’t use this site! If there was a no star option it would definitely be picked !
