This used to be unreal and I would always get people to try it...it was also a default gift for me at Christmas & my birthday as I was such a fan. Strangely though the ones I got this Christmas left me underwhelmed and got largely uneaten. Same again for my birthday in March...so much so that it made me Google if anything there has changed, only to discover that there are new owners!!! Tragic that the magic of Lakrids has gone...forever I fear.

I think they have changed recipe recently the liquorice inside is much bigger than in the past, i imagine the liquorice is cheaper than the passion fruit part so the ratio has changed, im pretty sure they dont taste as good as in the past, so unfortunately my love affair with them is over.
Found hard stone type substance in jar…
Found hard stone type substance in jar of double chocolate Lakrids in early December. Contacted their customer service by email - well 10 weeks later, endless emails and time wasted - had to return product and object - they are sending another jar and when I stated this not outcome I wanted offered me 10% off another purchase! No explanation for the hard object in sweet . Very disappointed - poor customer service indeed.

i ordered Lakrids’s advent calender for my husband, as he loves licorice. myself i hated it. but because there were 4 balls in each day bag i didn’t say no when he offered to try. and we both loved them. perfect amount to share as a couple as well. and it’s amazing, that they have enough variety of flavors to cover all 24 days with a new one. then for the last day you actually get several bags, great bonus. loved it, my husband said it’s been his favorite advent calendar so far and he won’t mind repeating next year
Severely lacking customer care
Appalling. Dreadful customer service. For an item that is not cheap and as a regular customer I was extremely disappointed with the customer service. Unwilling to deal with delivery issues which was not my fault, offered no solution or apology. It’s a great product which is severely let down by the customer service. Poor, poor, poor customer care
Worst Advent Ever
4th year my husband has gifted me with the large Advent Calendar. I am beyond disappointed. They only gave the original, mint and anniversary flavours 1 time and have completely done away with the Christmas cookie, which was my personal favourite. I am tired of the weird fruit/sour flavour combos. They taste disgusting. I am also disappointed with the company not having the good flavours available to purchase (i.e. Ultimate). Are they doing this on purpose?? The company has gone downhill and I will no longer ask for the Advent.
Order not received
I love the liquorice and have placed several orders in the past.
However, I placed an order on the 23/11/25 and have still not received it. I contacted Lakrids on the 01/12/25 and the response was :
“ This is still on the way to you and should be handed over to Royal Mail with the next 24 hours”
I have checked RM’s track and trace and the status of my parcel on its site states that:
“The sender has advised they have despatched your item to Royal Mail.” This has been the status every time I check. Obviously, Lakrids has not dispatched it yet.
I cannot log into my account either to check the status of my order. I have flagged my account issues to Lakrids also.
The customer care is non-existent. Fortunately I used Klarna to purchase the items and it has paused my payment.
Excellent liquorice, shocking customercare
Excellent liquorice, the best but the customer care is very poor and no apologies when they do not fulfill. Perhaps they’ve got too big? I’ve bought this liquorice for so long and so enjoy it however the customercare is dreadful. Packaging not packaged correctly, items left to roam around in the box. Shipping takes over 7 working days minimum, that I do not mind as it is well worth the wait, but things not packaged correctly where items are not secure then arrive damaged and they only replace an item where the lid was off clearly whoever packaged it thought they’d try it as that’s the only reason just one item would be left open. I feel all items should have been replaced as the other items were damaged, but no, no apologies just well send the open item . I’m not impressed and this is not the Danish standard ! It’s a shame as you are truly the finest product but the business has gone caput! Very disappointing and upseting and I shall have to look elsewhere

Paid 349 DKK for express delivery - 5 days later nothing has been shipped
I placed an order on Wednesday of last week for an international delivery , was forced to select DHL Express for a whopping 349Dkk and to my surprise my package has not been shipped. I am writing this on the Monday after ( 5 days have passed) . Based on this experience I will not be ordering from this company again because despite the good taste of their licorice , the over priced, painfully slow delivery leaves this customer with a bad taste in my mouth .
If the delivery was express my package would be on the doorstep to my loved one and not still in a factory in Denmark .
Disappointed .
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I love the liquorice but wanted to buy some for my brother and asked if it was sugar free and was told it was. I go to the Canary wharf branch and they are very helpful. This wasva/somple mistake on their part but as I couldn't get hold of them on the phone, I called customer services and got a shocking response, initially from Gwenaelle and then a further email from Agathe which was equally the same rubbish.

Love this brand! The flavours are always delicious, the service is always great and the team helpful in store.
Online purchase has also always worked well for me.

It's always easy to order, and if there is a problem, someone is there to help. The products are delicious. You can taste that the raw ingredients are top quality.
Appalling customer service
Ordered several products nearly a month ago. Still no news on when it will be delivered. Tracking info has not changed in 3 weeks. No response to my emails or fb messages. For a supposed "luxury brand" their customer service stinks. Not acceptable. Will spend my money with someone who can be bothered to tell when when my £60 worth of chocolates will arrive ! UPDATE LAKRIDS seem to read Trust Pilot even if they don't read their emails or fb messages. I've just been messaged to tell me that my order is "stocked (sic) somewhere in the shipping process. We have therefore refunded your payment" No apology or anything. I ordered these gifts a month ago and it's now a few days before Christmas. Thanks a lot Lakrids for nothing. Utterly appalling. FYI my order number is 600012935. Why bother to say in your message that you "want to make things right" as you clearly don't. It's just "presenteeism."

Dreadful customer service
Dreadful customer service, they let me pay over £50 for chocolates on Friday 13th December as I wanted them as a gift for Christmas, I received a message informing me that they had been shipped on Sunday 15th December thinking that all would be fine, however the reality is totally different, it is now the 18th December and they are in Denmark....I called them and they said that they won't arrive in time for Christmas. It is totally outrageous that they operate this way, you are lead to believe that when ordering there no such problems with delays, it feels like a scam to me, I will never order from this company again.

LARGE ADVENT CALENDAR NEVER DELIVERED
This was just a scam, they took my money back in October and never sent the calendar (which is already being sold in many stores), but keep sending me emails that "they are sorry it is delayed".
Don't buy from their website, it is not trustworthy.

Placed an order for an advent calendar + extras on 8th September. Products are simply divine but I would avoid ordering from them directly, the service for a premium product at a premium price has been shocking.
Finally received a dispatch notification on 7th November, still no sign of the delivery, or even that it's been handed over to Royal Mail for delivery.
With the advent calendar only one part of the order you would think they would have dispatched the other items straight away.
When you message for updates just get an autoresponder reply.
I won't be again after such a poor experience.

Good customer service
I had ordered a couple times before without issues, however this time there was a heat wave and my order arrived melted. I then wrote them through Facebook messenger and in a couple of hours they replied, saying that they will send me the items again! Great customer service on that part, if they fix their email system it will be perfect.
The liquorice itself is amazing, especially the regular assortment. Some of the seasonal stuff can be a hit or miss for me, although I would like to make a petition to have Hibiscus from the taste panel for sale <3.
Extremely disappointed
My criticism isn't of the products themselves. I have made a few large orders, and have previously had no problems. They even developed a special edition raspberry flavour after I lamented always missing out due to my carmine colouring allergy! It's because of this history that I'm not giving a lower rating!
The problem is that my recent order had the correct items listed on the customs declaration, yet they said the value was over €3000! My order was under $1000 Australian (about €555). Next thing you know DHL is saying I owe over $1000 in fees (more than my entire order cost including shipping). There was also some other error in the declaration that led to me still needing to pay over $100 in fees even after DHL helped me sort things out. From what DHL told me, I believe I was being labelled as a business by Lakrids for some reason? I've made orders around the same value before and never had fees, and international orders under $1000 Australian are exempt.
Thankfully DHL helped me clear up the excessive charges since I was able to prove the value of my order. However I contacted Lakrids By Bulow on the 18th and it is now the 27th and I'm yet to hear from anyone! That was a massive error and I've been a regular customer. I'm so annoyed to not even receive an apology that I will never order from them again despite how much I enjoy their products! I actually feel like the decent thing to do would have been to reimburse me for the fees I still had to pay as a result of their errors.
