Finally found a better alternative to Frame.io…

I've been running a video production agency for years, and we have been loyal Frame.io users for a long time. However, when Adobe dropped its v4 update, things became complicated and, honestly, frustrating for our team.

That's when we decided to give Krock.io a shot, and wow, I'm so glad we made the switch! It solved pretty much every issue we were dealing with. The interface is much easier to use; our clients love how simple it is to leave feedback, and the entire review process flows better now.

Here's the surprising part: with 16 people on our team, we were spending a lot on Frame.io. Krock.io's Unlimited user plan actually costs us less and gives us a better experience. Saving money while getting better tools feels like a real win.

Not remotely usable for actual film production

This thing over-promised and under-delivers. I am a professional filmmaker and tried to use it and make a storyboard from my screenplay... it was a disaster! You're better off using Midjourney for the price. These guys clearly are not filmmakers and have never made, used, or probably ever seen a real Hollywood storyboard.

It's a free tool (https://krock.io/online-storyboards-creator/) that comes with 50 AI tokens to help generate quick visuals and spark ideas-meant to overcome the "blank page" stage, not replace the expertise of professional storyboard artists.

We completely agree: creating a true "Hollywood-level" storyboard still requires professional illustrators and filmmakers. AI is not a substitute for human creativity, but it can be a helpful starting point inside a broader production pipeline.
