$999 Fee to write up a finance application

We have been used car shopping and discovered Tabangi Motors in Kitchener. We arranged an appointment to look at their cars. The rep, Chitty, was excellent. Knowledgeable and informed. When he quoted on a car, he started adding up the charges including a matter of fact, arbitrary $999 finance admin charge. This was nothing more than a pure money grab. When I challenged him he just said that it’s just a charge they have. I didn’t need to hear more. This is a shameful demonstration of an unearned money grab and enough to decide not to purchase from Tabangi. No other dealer anywhere had that admin fee on financing. Shameful. Buyer beware.
