Howard, the salesman was excellent in every way. He was helpful without being pushy. So easy to work with in every way.

The people at the Brookfield location were some of the worst examples of customer service, and scheduling of the contracted work. We were constantly calling to see why the flooring order was wrong, or not knowing when the carpeting would be scheduled, or the steps that needed to be taken to have the scope of work completed.
The contractors themselves were great. Professional, attention to detail, when they were there. It took almost a month for them to complete the hardwood flooring and carpeting.
Kerns would pull the contractors off our job for days at a time, keeping the house in a perpetual construction zone.
The salesman had no clue how to communicate with the contractors and the office that schedules them.
When I went to complain to the store manager, he apologized, and said he was sorry. That was it. No assurances that anything would change, or ask me what the issues were. We paid $20,000.00 for terrible service, rude employees, and uninterested management. The floors and carpet are beautiful, but had nothing to do with Kerns.

Very accommodating in the store, they let us take samples for several days. John was very helpful in giving advice on picking the design, The installer bound the edges on site and the carpet runner was installed perfectly, which wasn't easy since the carpet extended to the balusters and had several changes in width. They didn't ask for the final payment until a week after install to make sure we were totally happy.

Salesperson very informative, helpful, courteous, friendly, and no pressure. Patient....I would go to Kern's first if/when there is a next time. Pricing and selection was spot on.

They did a great job of installing my basement carpet.

A project that started at the start of June for 2 days, ended up taking 4 days because there was only 1 installer assigned to my project when there should have been more and the project didn't end until the last week of July. One piece has popped out (a quarter round) and it takes 2-3 weeks for them to have an installer come back to fix it by securing it in place.

The installer Nick was the only good part,he worked all alone and followed in his father's footsteps and is very good at what he does. The rest of the experience was completely unorganized, and a total disaster and mess from the 1st day when the wood was delivered to the very end.

We were looking for carpet for our living room and hallway and found our way to Kerns. We spoke with John and told him what we were looking for and what our budget was. He didn't pressure us into anything and seemed genuinely happy to help us. I'd go back there again for any flooring need.

Kern's was easy to work with and we love our new carpeting! Everything went great!

Installers did a great job with installation. Just a couple minor issues.
I did see a couple of nicks in the walls that weren't there.
I appreciate on their breaks that they went to the cars to smoke. However,
as a non smoker I could still smell it when they entered my home.

Everything went well. The installers were very professional and cleaned up after they were done. We were not pressured to purchase after John came out and explained everything too.

I was very happy with the whole process of getting new carpeting! From the time we walked in the door, we were pleased. Jon, our salesman was awesome and the installers did a fantastic job! Would highly recommend!!

This was my third purchase from Kerns. After speaking with the sales person, I felt very reassured in my purchase. Since I was having other work done around my home, I inquired if I could have some flexibility with the scheduling of the carpet installation, which they had no problem with. So far, I am very pleased with the installation and the product.

We have purchased carpet from Kerns multiple times over the years. Dennis (sales associate), was informative and knowledgeable. The installers were efficient and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend Kerns to anyone for their flooring needs.

We worked with Michael on getting two rooms carpeted. We have future plans for having another room carpeted by Kerns as well as using their carpet cleaning service. Every step of the process was well communicated and executed. A solid family business.
