I selected Kern’s to install new carpet and LVP on our third floor. I selected a Karastan carpet with their best padding and Rigid Core LVP. I provided measurements that my contractor took for the carpet and told them I would need six boxes of LVP. I also explained we would move the furniture and we wanted them to remove and haul away the old carpet. I asked for a general price for everything, understanding it could change once they take measurements. Two days later, I did not have this information. It seems as though they did not want my business, so I selected another company.

So happy with the experience and outcome. Everyone is really knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Would recommend them in a heartbeat.

The men who laid the carpet were above and beyond. They helped to put the furniture and accessories back in place. They were efficient and friendly.

I'm going with 5 stars because I really had no concerns. From Randy, the measuring guy, to the staff at the store, we had zero problems. Everything was done timely and as indicated. No fuss. We have gone with other carpet stores in the past and did not receive this kind of service. We kept looking till we got it right!!

Excellent service & installation.

From the retail shop experience to final installation, Kerns were a pleasure to work with. Our salesperson was regularly in contact to insure that scheduling and installation were satisfactory.

The installation crews (which needed to make 3 visits due to the logistical challenges of a remodeling project) were professional and clean. The spaces being carpeted were in an historic building with lots of tight spaces and oddly shaped rooms - all of which they dealt with professionally.

I recommend Kerns unreservedly.

The Kern's salesperson was pleasant and helpful. The quality of the carpet and installation seem fine. However, and each time I have dealt with Kern's, some problem comes up at the very end of the job that makes the overall experience less than great.

Many years ago, Kerns finished a whole-house carpet installation but, at the very end, said they would not take away one room's old carpet because it wasn't included in the price. (I had to pay a couple hundred dollars more to get them to take it). On the purchase for which I am writing the present review, several of the interior doors rubbed against the new carpet (because the pile was a little thicker than my old carpeting). The installers said they would not plane any door bottoms and to call the store. Kern's pointed out that I was informed that the installation did not include any additional work, and Kern's gave me the name of a handyman I could call and hire myself for the small work of planing a few doors.

I understand that Kern's was not obligated to help me by planing a couple of interior doors, but it seems a trivial thing after I made an expensive whole-house carpet purchase. The overall experience ended up feeling less than satisfying.

I have bought flooring from Kerns 4 times so far over the years and I return because its always a good experience. The service is excellent, the quality of the product is good. Their slogan of "have no concerns when you buy from Kerns", is very true. They take care of everything well, start to finish. They go above and beyond also-unrolling carpet a few days ahead of install so the odor wouldn't harm my bird etc. Its the only place I go for flooring.

Excellent service and product. A follow up call after completion to see how everything is would have been nice but otherwise everything else was great. Will probably come back when I replace kitchen floor.

While Shannon our sales rep was wonderful and very informative, plus very patient with us....and the quality of the flooring and carpeting is top notch, working with our lead on the project at our house Dave, really left a lot to be desired. The men on his team were very good at what they do. Dave over promised things, was hardly at the project and his communication skills were horrible. The follow through after the project to get someone out here for the touchups was initiated by us because we literally found out that he forgot about it . We were not happy with the delay. However, we would use Kerns again, but maybe not the lead on the install.
