Don't walk, run away!
I grew up as one. My life since leaving has been difficult, from the emotional and mental abuse. Do not speak to them. The members are indoctrinated. My family is in it. They have been very abusive to me. As well as my husband. We now have a good life. I have friends and family that accept me for me!

Jws doctrine separate families, doom innocent children to death with their no blood transfusions policy, and hide pedophiles in there congregations. This is not what jesus meant when he said to have unconditional love towards one another.

I was born and raised in it. It has torn my family apart. A childhood friend passed at nineteen for refusing a blood transfusion that could have saved her life. I am being shunned after getting depressed and stopped attending their meetings. And elder and CO came to my place of work, asked if I any longer wanted to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses, I said no and they told me they'd announce it at the next meeting. That means they announce your name publicly in front of the congregation, saying 'so and so' is no longer a Jehovah's Witness, and from then on, they are not allowed to talk to you, since you are now considered disfellowshipped. This includes immediate family members as well. You can be disfellowshipped for accepting a blood transfusion, celebrating your Birthday, voting, joining the military, sex before or outside of marriage, and many other things. They rip families apart, discourage higher education and require way too much time and effort from your life devoted to them. It's a vile, controlling, micromanaging doomsday cult. I lost all of my friends and some family to that cult. I lost an entire belief system I was brainwashed to believe or else. My life was totally wrapped around serving this organization, including tons of time money and effort wasted on them.

This is a cult, no ifs ands or buts. They don’t let you question, and they take your family, security and life as you know it away if you do. They molest young girls and hide it in the guise of their “two witness rule”. It’s a disgusting organization and I’m sick to my stomach thinking people are still trapped inside.

I was brought up as a JW in an extremely unloving, intrusive, abusive environment. Upon leaving at 16 I have been labeled as a worldly, satanic person because I turned my back on a religion that has no logic, is hypocritical, stifling and judgemental.

An insular environment where people cannot get the help they need and untruths and manipulation is rife.

Followers are subject to constant hate speech. ‘Hate the world’, ‘apostates are mentally diseased’ blah blah blah. It’s like a broken record.

When you are subject to hate speech on a frequent basis, people start believing it, they become conditioned to it and then their behavior acts it.

It’s abnormal for a parent to discard their children..and for what? For 8 narcissistic men in New York which the rank and file have never met and don’t know. Followers have never checked them out yet hang on and obey every word.

They also hide child abuse and own a database of paedophiles that they have not turned into the police. Not only does this put JW children at risk but the whole community outside of the JWs.

The blood policy they have has changed many times since 1940. In other words, God keeps changing his mind thus being responsible for thousands of deaths. This is manslaughter.

My mother was at risk of requiring a blood transfusion last year. I was horrified that a complete stranger to the family, a person of the JW Hospital Liasion Committee had visited her before any of the family got to see her. Basically he was assisting her to die. I found from what I heard that his dialogue with her extremely condescending. He told her to consider her blood as a stream with logs floating in it and that she could have the water, but not the logs, I,e blood cells. Really? Was that all her life was worth? She was extremely vulnerable and under undue influence. Because if she ever had that blood transfusion she would’ve been disfellowshipped or disassociated resulting in the shunning of the only network she knows and her family. Many suicides are caused by this.

After much research I listed all the changes in the blood doctrine and took it to my family telling them they had a duty of care to mother since her life was at risk. My brother immediately snatched the list from my hand, tore it up and threw it in the bin. Not only is this disturbing showing a complete lack of empathy for my mother it is also willful ignorance, a criminal offence.

Another disturbing thing is that my sister was a well balanced pleasant person until she joined the JWs again a few years ago. The personality change is horrifying. I mean how could it change so quickly and by that much?
That the power of brainwashing. A very hateful woman that once condemned the Watchtower for their huge child abuse problem but now, she’s fully in support of their covering up the abuse, and defending paedophiles.

I receive text messages calling me Satan and that she is going to do her best to get me ostracized by my elderly parents. Yet she does nothing for them in their need for care. Lack of empathy is a common denominator in the cult.

I have these messages and recordings that will be passed onto the Charities Comission who are currently investigating the Watchtower for child abuse, hate speech,shunning and breech of human rights.

Life means nothing to them. They live for a new world where they think they will be happy. It’s very sad really.

Many are damaged from all the narcisstic abuse spanning many years and I implore people to seek out the truth about this cult.

Members are lied to
They keep total information control, Members are not allowed to objectively research opposing views.
Many do not know Jehovah’s Witnesses have been on the Australian Royal Commission and disgusted Judges and Attorney’s with their Policies towards child molesters for years.
They keep a list of all wrong doings.
They were ordered to produce alleged child molesters for the authorities to investigate and they refused.

They bring you in as being some of the nicest, most trusting people you’ll ever meet. Then, once you’re in the organization, you are forced to abandon your family, and friends who are not witnesses. I was born and raised in, for over 20 years. Lost everything I had because of them.

A cult, pure and simple! Born into it and finally got the courage to leave at the age of 31, my family now have nothing to do with me or my children because we left the "religion".
They protect pedophiles, and tear families apart. Their love is superficial and based upon your compliance to their rules. Leave and they brand you an apostate. AVOID

Anything of value or of interest on this website is totally obliterated by some of the awful and supposedly"bible based" teachings on there. You might find a pretty picture painted in some sections only to be contradicted when you dig deeper. For example one faq asks about shunning those who leave. Dig deeper you will find shunning/ostracism of former members is required if you want to be taken seriously as a JW. I would be inclined to give an extra star if they published their elders (leaders) hand book/instruction manual on the website which would at least contribute towards some transparency.

A deluded set of people trapped in a cult that they're unaware of. They believe the teachings, not of the bible, but the those of a body of men who, by their own admission, are not inspired; making all their prophecies and predictions little more than guesswork.
If an interpretation fails they will reinterpret the scriptures to match the new default.
How I was duped by this religion for over 3 decades is beyond me.
Please keep clear of a religion which encourages the cruel and vicious practice of shunning where families are heavily encouraged to cut all ties with those who have left or are disfellowshipped.

This is a dreadful cult that hides paedophiles within its organisation. The governing body are members of the illuminati and are Satanists. The annual memorial ceremony is actually a black magic ceremony which witnesses are not told about.

I was brought up in this cult and baptized when I was 13. I stayed until my Dad died because I knew if I left he would be expected to shun me and that would have broken his heart. I was 53 when I finally left. While I was in the cult I married another cult member who abused me for 5 years. When I left him, because I knew if I didn't I would either have killed him or committed suicide to make the pain stop, they punished both of us. They said I had no reason to leave as I he hadn't broken my bones. Wives are expected to be submissive to their husbands even when those husbands are abusive. Unless a woman has someone who saw the abuse she will not be believed. Sometimes, not even if she does have a witness to what was done to her. The same is true for children who have been abused. They take the side of the abusers.

This is a modern day cult that employs subtle, mind control tactics. Having spent over 30 years as one myself I know what I'm talking about. They should be avoided and shunned at all costs!

This is a high control group and should be avoided. Their theology is critically flawed and they gain trust through lies. Once in, you cannot critically challenge anything. Leaving is not an easy option either.

Please stay away from this organisation, it is a damaging, manipulative cult. I was born in and indoctrinated for 38 years. They prey on vulnerable people to add to their numbers and protect paedophiles. Please do research.

Terrible & damaging cult.

I was shunned at the age of 17… They call it “disfellowshipping”… I could not even talk to my own brothers and sisters because they did not live in our parents house.

I was acquaintance raped at the age of 14, I was a virgin… Yet the “elders“ did not listen to my story and realize what had happened… Instead they told me I “wanted it” and I was punished.

Doomsday cult for sure… They will love bomb you in the beginning. Step out of line and the love is gone.

The witnesses were friendly but managed to brainwash my son behind my back so he now thinks I colluded to emotionally abuse him. Weird he should think that as I left the day he told me he didn't want to go to the Kingdom Hall again.

I can only conclude that it is OK for adults in the organisation to emotional abuse any of the children there and are happy to have the parents get the blame.

I would never recommend this organisation to anyone

They are a brainwashing cult who protect pedophiles.
They are being rightly investigated in many countries for covering up child sex abuse and not reporting known abusers to the police. They also dont inform members who the child rapists are amongst them.
My childhood JW friend was being sexually abused by her JW parents, she went to the elders for help, they called her a "liar" and did nothing to help her.

This isn’t a religion; it’s a cult using mind control tactics & undue influence to control victims. They are a false profit and purposefully destroy families by demanding shunning practices.

This cult has brainwashed my family, I left 25 years ago and we're no longer a family. JWs shun those who leave and destroy families. Kids raised in the Org who leave tend to have emotional and relationship problems, the darker side of this religion is kept well hidden under a warm fluffy blanket of fake love....its not love though, it's just control and manipulation.
