A very good to make a resume with a lot of customization with no scammy techniques that made my experience bad with other websites/apps
After an unexpected layoff after 10 years in a company,
I had to apply for jobs. Feeling lost after such a long time without job applications and interviews, I found jobscan and subscribed to the Premium version. Since I started using jobscan, I got called to interviews. Thanks to jobscan, my CV was reaching the attention of recruiters and I got called for interviews. I was in the interview process for 6 different positions, and one of those led to a job offer.
Jobscan is an excellent tool to make sure your CV is highly rated by the company ATS, and reaches a human eye. You still need to put considerable work in creating your CV, the tool does not replace this! If this is clear to you, then you will be very happy using this tool. There are also plenty of useful articles and free webinars to get tips on everything related to job applications: applications, interviews, offer negotiations...
I truly recommend this tool.
This tool is helpful when job hunting- it's effective, easy to use, and has an intuitive user experience. Given the amount of job applications I was doing, I found it useful to have a pro subscription; I only canceled after I found a job.
I found particularly useful the ATS-friendly resume builder, which is not limited to certain usage so you can tweak your resume as many times as needed.
Upon scanning my resume against the job description with this tool I was surprised to find out how low the match was, simply due to some keywords missing from my description. Therefore, with the help of this tool, I was able to realign and get a much better match.
I'm still yet to take advantage of the app's full functionality (paid tier), but it's something that I'm seriously considering as the wording has become critically important when job hunting. This tool offers many key features for building your resume from scratch and then matching it against pursued jobs.
I mistakenly subscribed for 3 months and $145.55 were deducted from my account, however Cynthia from Jobscan immediately looked into matter, resolved my complaints around scans and is now processing the refund. Even though i havent received the refund yet but i trust this platform for resume ATS score scan and outstanding customer service.
I have signed up for Jobscan and in 3 days I scheduled 2 job interviews.
This app is definitely a must have when searching for jobs. This helps give the applicant an advantage against the ATS applicant Tracking Systems that are used to triage resumes & cover letters. I used my free trial to make sure my resume was at least a 90% match to thr job description, and I did get the phone interview the next week!
Tool is good and all. Does what it advertises.
I've been using jobscan for a couple months. There was a UI update a couple months ago and it made my job finding process slower. They removed it a week or so later.
Just recently, they added another UI update. Now, it loads the resume everytime I click "upload and rescan". Takes like 5 seconds for it to load. Although it's not a long time, it completely slows down my flow, especially when I apply to over 25 jobs a week. It is completely unnecessary update and I wish they would revert it back.
I was recently laid off and was looking for a service that would help me get back into the job mark fast. What I found out by a few different recruiters is AI writing resumes are now being discarded and are not passing the Appiliant Tracking Systems (ATS). If you are not getting any interview request it could be due to your AI resume.
Everything was perfect: I found a job that fully match with my profile, and I am really happier now. Thanks a lot. I definitely recommend it!
When I apply for jobs using this app I receive interviews.
Great software that really helps and definitely prepares you for your job search. I would recommend jobscan to anyone looking to stay ahead of the technical side of job hunting or to just enhance your resume.
They were the best ATS scanner I used, and helped me a lot to get my job offer. Thanks, jobscan.
I just secured my second job with the help of Jobscan's features. This time it was the LinkenIn Optimization feature that helped recruiters find me online.
Also, I needed support for an account issue and Cyryll quickly came to my rescue - on the weekend, at that. Their service and customer support is top-tier, and that's why I will always use Jobscan as a resource for future job searches, if and when necessary. It's absolutely worth it!
Jobscan does a great job helping jobseekers succeed in the difficult world of applicant tracking systems used by most employers.
Very good service and really helping you build your CV and highlight the important information.
I’ve been using Jobscan since April 2023, right after being laid off due to the tech layoffs. Since then, I’ve been relying on Jobscan as a critical tool for my survival while trying to return to my actual career as a software engineer. Unfortunately, the job market has been brutal, forcing me to work at toxic jobs just to make ends meet.
Given my situation, I was really looking forward to upgrading to the annual plan this Black Friday, which would have saved me $40 compared to the quarterly plan. But Jobscan doesn't allow existing quarterly subscribers to upgrade to the annual plan — even during Black Friday. I’ve been paying since April, and it’s frustrating that loyal customers are excluded from this offer.
I’m giving this review the lowest possible rating because, frankly, I’m exhausted from dealing with cynical managers and toxic workplaces. If you care about common courtesy and fairness, it feels like you’re out of luck. I expected better from a service I’ve relied on to help me get back into my career. The system works great, but the treatment of paying, long-term subscribers is disappointing.
If you’re considering Jobscan, my advice is this: sync your subscription renewal with Black Friday so you can get the annual plan discount. If you’re already on a quarterly plan, you’re basically stuck unless you cancel and resubscribe, which makes no sense for loyal users.
I hope Jobscan rethinks its policy. Loyal subscribers shouldn’t have to jump through hoops just to save a little money.
