I am not happy with Jetstar at all.
On booking it says; 7 kg carry on luggage is allowed + a handbag. I carry a leather hand bag and obviously that will have some weight even if I don’t put much in the bag.
Jetstar has always weighed hand bags well and asked to pay extra.
So, disappointing.

JetStar is a budget airline. Their fares are already the cheapest in the market. Most budget airlines are very strict when weighing the bags.

Double standard
About the carry on luggage .
My luggage was 14.5 kg total of two hand luggage . Jetstar hostess added my purse that has medications as i had to carry my medications in my handbag . Total 16.5 kg between me and my partner .
Another passenger luggage was 9.95 kg . They let him go . I was stranded until I paid extra $85 then was allowed to board . Almost last passenger and was unable to find overhead cabin space for my two bags . With another travellers generosity removing her backpack she helped me put my both bags in the overhead cabin .

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Please be advised that the cabin bag of JetStar, as well as most of the airlines, is 7kg per passenger. The airlines will impose a surcharge in case it exceeds 7kg.

You made an error. Refunded 1 ticket one way and not the return. And now I'm out of pocket $800. Not the best customer service in this regard and I always fly jet star!! As a pensioner, I can't afford to carry this loss, especially with the millions of dollars you make a year.
What an absolute disgusting reply!! Sorry for my inconvenience!! Terrible customer service and an exhausting experience where nobody could come to a answer and offer a refund. Absolutely appalling.

Such a pathetic service
Such a pathetic service. My payment was processed but i was not issued the ticket. After 2 days they decided to cancel my booking and take 10% service fees. Waste of tiem and money .

Outgoing journey from Brisbane, no worries but return journey some confusion at the Mackay airport as no seat was allocated for this ticket. Was sorted in the end and made the flight. Little concerned for a while.
