I had a problem with my eSim this time. I've been using Jetpac for my last few trips to Japan without an issue but this time there was a problem with the pack.
Apparently it had expired although the documentation i had said it should be fine for the intended travel dates.
I emailed support from the Hotel WiFi and after providing a copy of that documentation had my pack issue resolved and was back up and running.
Given the support I got from Dan, Almin and the team I'll be using Jetpac again next time.

I needed to increase my data and paid for an extra 3 GB. When I logged in again I couldn’t see the increase so I requested help on What’s App. Jetpak got back to me very quickly and explained that I needed to go to the assignment tab and also that the new data would kick in when the old one ran out. Very helpful and fast.

I purchased Jetpac’s “Unlimited Data” 10-day pack (USD $33.99) for Thailand. After 3GB of daily usage, speeds are throttled to 256kbps, which is essentially unusable for navigation, video calls, or anything beyond basic text messaging. Which I needed while working in an area without WIFI. This is not disclosed in the product name. It’s hidden behind a “See details” button.
When I raised this as a misleading advertising complaint, I was passed between three agents over 120+ minutes. I cited specific consumer law rulings, the ACCC’s action against Optus (throttling to 256kbps declared misleading by the Australian Federal Court), the FTC’s $60M fine against AT&T for the same practice, and Singapore’s own Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act. Not one agent addressed or acknowledged the legal precedent. Instead they all circled through scripted rhetoric justifying the throttling of speed.
One supervisor, “Kay” terminated the chat while my complaint was still open and escalation requests were unactioned. All throughout I had been pleasant and not aggressive or angry. I was then transferred to a new agent who repeated the same script from the beginning. After 6+ hours, no resolution, I write this.
Multiple independent review sites: TechRadar, Monito, and Cybernews, describe Jetpac as having “no data throttling.” Either those claims are false or the throttle on “Unlimited” plans shouldn’t exist.
If you need genuinely unlimited data while travelling, do not buy this product. The word “Unlimited” does not mean what you think it means here.

It was annoying that when you purchase two sims there isn’t an option to pre assign the second one to someone else. That said the support from Theresa via WhatsApp was great and solved within 5 minutes!!

Easy access via WhatsApp messaging. Generally quite prompt in response to issues and how to questions. Jetpack has been good so far for my overseas travels. But think best to iron out all potential issues prior to heading overseas.

I was able to use WhatsApp which was a massive help as I’m in a different country and don’t have access to my iMessages. I had Almin, and straight away as soon as I sent the message he was there helping and within 5-10 mins my ESIM was working!
