Refusing refund unless I remove honest review
Refusing to refund me for a purchase I never received that I ordered, unless I take down my initial negative review, 3 MONTHS after initial order. Will be keeping trustpilot up to date until I receive my refund.
When my order arrived at my city but was not being delivered, I had to email them to find out that it was on hold due to customs taxes. When I asked Japan With Love how to pay this, they told me I could go to my local post office to do so. I did, the post office said no, reach out to the merchant, which I did again, and for some inexplicable reason, they just told me to go back to the post office and ask again. This horrendous customer service was typical of the back and forth I had with Japan with Love, up until my order was sent back to them in Japan. When this happened, they told me they would remove the shipping back to Japan costs from my original order. When I expressed extreme dissatisfaction at this, considering I would not even be refunded the original order amount for items I never received, they told me they would refund the order fully only if I take down my initial review of their appalling customer service. This back and forth has continued for weeks and several days ago, they stopped replying altogether. This makes one think - do they artificially inflate their reviews using this kind of unsavory tactic?

Customs Payment
You claim we gave you the runaround, but in fact, we accurately informed you that customs fees are handled by UK Customs, not us. We advised you to check with your local post office to obtain the payment link or guidance—which is standard protocol. Instead of following through, you chose not to act. That’s not “back and forth.” That’s you refusing to cooperate and blaming us for it.
The Order Was Shipped — You Didn’t Pay Tax
Your order was shipped, on time, with full tracking. It arrived in your city. You failed to pay the required customs charges, resulting in the parcel being returned. You’re not entitled to a full refund for something you refused to accept—that’s not how international shipping works. Our policy clearly states that two-way shipping fees are deducted in such cases, and that policy is public and agreed to at checkout.
Your Refund Is Unprocessed Because You’re Avoiding Responsibility
Let’s be honest. The only reason you haven’t received your refund is because you continue to demand full reimbursement despite being responsible for the return. We can’t refund what we paid for shipping both ways when you didn’t fulfill your basic responsibility to receive the package.
And finally—accusing us of review manipulation because you don’t like the answer we gave you? That’s not only false, it’s offensive. We don’t “artificially inflate” anything. We ask for honest feedback and respond with facts.
If you’re ready to resolve this properly, we’re still here. Otherwise, continuing to rewrite the story won’t change what happened.

Good online store with great promotions
The shipping is ok. It arrived in 10 days to USA. I have been used some products before and cannot find them easily with decent price at other places. So, I order them in here. Excellent Experience
This was my first experience with Japan With Love and it was 100 percent positive in all regards. I'm in the US and I was hesitant to place an international order with a company I was not familiar with but I'm so glad I did. The check-out process was easy and they promptly shipped my items via FedEx. The items themselves are authentic and arrived in excellent condition.
