This website is scammed! I ordered products from their website, but almost a month. I didn’t get even through update about my order! So, I called my credit card to refund my money back. Luckily, the credit card company processed the money back to me. Don’t order anything from Japanese Taste.com

Do NOT buy from this shop!!! They just sent the package and not responsible for correct delivery. When the package lost they did not help anything. Further more they removed my loyalty program, that means I could not write review on their website.

Order for shipment to UK. First few orders were good until I get double taxed for items purchased. Some of the goods (I mainly get supplements etc) are quite expensive as it is and next thing I know, another bill came from Fedex. They were almost the same amount I've paid. I've looked at other sites, some were honest - listing down the tax and shipment fees on top of the products. I mean I do understand the taxes and all but just didn't like how it went down.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. IT IS NOT WORTH THE HASSLE.

If I can give them no stars I would.

I ordered on 5 November 2023 from the UK for 2 birthdays in December or potentially for Christmas. I already built in some extra time for shipping.

The package was sent to a completely different person in Switzerland on 27 November.

I complained that they made a mistake and demanded money back. But a new replacement order was created instead. This first replacement order did not get shipped until 18 December. It cleared customs before Christmas (21/12) but the collection point never received it even though I received an email for collection. So no presents at all for the December birthdays or Christmas. I had to find other presents in lieu instead.

I claimed the first replacement order lost on 2/1/2024.

This company decided to create yet a second replacement order on 10/1/2024.

I have been trying to get it refunded ever since the first shipment went to Switzerland. Surely it has been more expensive to be shipping out the same set of products 3 times than to refund me.

Save yourself hassle by not buying this company.

Unresponsive customer service. Order still hasn’t been shipped more than one month after payment.

I almost didn't order from them due to the reviews but my SIL loves a certain type of chips that you can only get here at a good price. The order was shipped quickly and arrived at my home before an order that I had placed in the states. My SIL said everything was delicious and fresh.
FYI... Just because people have a good experience and write a good review, it does not mean it is a bogus review.

This site is not up front about delivery or taxes or anything really. I am still waiting on items that are a week late and being held in customs for ransom. And I feel lucky compared to others. Are they running a scam or just really incompetent, who knows?
Do not believe the positive reviews mentioned here.

Ordered rice crackers and received them broken into bits, unable to be used as gifts. Customer service was lousy and accepted no responsibility for poor packing. Avoid this company if you want good products and good service.

I ordered on BlackFriday OrderJT99225, the confirmation email already mentioned about delayed shipping which was understandable (up to 17 days for shipping). It is a long flight from Osaka to USA. The shipping email was sent on 12/6/23 by DHL. 2days later the box arrived at front deck. I completely satisfied with products and shipping. I think some country has custom rule for import products. For me my order is less than $800 so the US custom did not charge for any thing. I will order more in the future. Thanks for bringing varieties of Japanese snacks to USA.

Very slow. Placed an order 2 weeks prior and still has not shipped, says processing. My wife is Japanese and was very happy to find this site, but that is quickly turning to dissatisfaction.

I ordered a couple of bottles of Tamari shoyu on their website with express delivery. No problems. They got the bottles to me quickly by FedEx and everything was wrapped and packaged securely. Very happy with the service.

Terrible product, arrived all balled up and creased and you can’t return it for ‘customer reasons’. What a joke

dude, i paid almost 90% tax in thailand, basically paying double, the tax is so high when arrive, and also i ordered 1st time, a pan, it was only less than $15 on japanese amazon, they were selling me $80. freaking insane website. AND I paid that tax as well. why is when i buy from iherbs, never need to pay tax. get your business together! NEVER BUYING IT AGAIN!

I love this company so much that I ordered from them twice. They have a variety of products and very competitive prices. Also, they write down the ingredients and allergens of the product on their website. They also ship on FedEx at prices suitable for everyone (15-20$). The only negative is that they are late in shipping orders (about 10 days) BUT DON'T LISTEN TO NEGATIVE REVIEWS, 🌸❤️‍🔥 I RESPECT THIS COMPANY.

I’ve wanted to order from Japanese taste for a year now, but I’ve always been reluctant because of the reviews here, this time I finally decided to do it

My order was shipped 6 hours after payment, shipping took 4 days only, all items are sent and in good condition

If you’re from Saudi Arabia like me, you’ll have to pay extra charges which’s the 15% VAT

*shipping method I used was the standard Shipping

Ordered ramen to Israel on Sep7,
the order was shipped almost 2 weeks later but arrived in 5 days, in total it was within 9-17shipping days promised.

Products arrived, well packaged.

Despite of some negative reviews, I decided to order from japanesetaste.com Order placed on August 2nd, 2023 and was delivered on August 17th, 2023.
They shipped items as described.
Update:
When placing my second order using the coupon, all seemed fine. However, as I was about to place the order, I noticed that the prices of the products I wanted to buy, to my surprise, had changed. For example, the Oyster sauce before the use of the coupon was $21, but went back to $25 during check-out, which I remember distinctly was how much I had paid for my first order of Oyster Sauce ($25). So, I came to the conclusion that this was a just trick of theirs, as if they were giving out a discount, which is why I lowered my original rating to 2.5 stars from my initial 5.

Did not mention anything about additional duties that will be charged at checkout. Only additional charges for shipping were mentioned. Very disappointing

The processing of the order was very slow. After over two weeks when I did not receive a tracking number, I contacted them via e-mail. They answered promptly that the shipment is still prepared. It took another week or so but finally shipped. Arrived within 3 days of shipment. The product themself are exactly what I ordered and very good quality. I will order again.

Very bad costumer service they bland the charge fee from fedEs USA when they are the one charge.
