No wait at the nice new Pisa airport rental hub which is 2 minutes walk away from the car. No hard sell on insurance nor fuss on return. We took photos and added some marks to the contract, which... See more

Do not rent from this company. The car we rented broke down after 1 day (4 hours of driving). Horrible customer service. Charging us a 150euro fee for the car breaking down and we have to find our own way to pick up a replacement car (we are staying 3.5 hours drive away… 6 hours by public transport..)

During my rental in Sicily, the vehicle repeatedly displayed an “Insufficient Oil Pressure – Stop Engine” warning whilst I was driving. I also experienced a coolant level warning. I reported both issues to Italy Car Rent on multiple occasions but was repeatedly advised that the vehicle was safe to continue driving and was not offered an inspection, replacement vehicle or roadside assistance.
Concerned about the warnings, I eventually checked the oil level myself and found it appeared to be extremely low. I then had to locate assistance independently in a rural area and arrange for engine oil to be added. Following the oil top-up, both the oil pressure warnings and coolant warning disappeared.
My main disappointment was not that a mechanical issue occurred, as faults can happen with any vehicle, but the way it was handled. A warning specifically instructing the driver to stop the engine was repeatedly dismissed, and despite reporting multiple warning messages, I was left to resolve the situation myself whilst on holiday.
Italy Car Rent reimbursed the cost of the oil, but they declined to acknowledge any shortcomings in how the matter was handled and were unable to satisfactorily answer a number of reasonable questions about the vehicle’s condition and their response to the warning messages.
The issue caused significant stress and disruption during my holiday and left me concerned about the safety and reliability of the vehicle. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Italy Car Rent.

Avoid at all costs! After paying for a premium booking, they refused my card at the counter claiming it was a 'new type of card that is not acceptable.' Absolutely stay away.

Hired a car from Catalonia airport. When I returned it the representative found a very small scratch on one of the wheels for which they charged me Euro800. A complete scam

Damage alleged on return of car, £2000!
Car returned in the same condition as collected however out of hours and keys posted in their letter box, an hour later I received a report to say scratches on wheels and chipped windscreen., these very minor, and I mean very minor marks were on the car when collected and I have photos, nonetheless monies charged to credit card. BEWARE this is very common at Pisa, AVOID ITALY CAR RENT and also AutoVia EcoVia who also SCAM their customers if you refuse their additional excess insurance. Update, I have provided myphotos and they have pulled the charge,or say they have. Nonetheless this is a common scam at Pisa be aware and inspect thoroughly take photos.

Unusually, the car we were given was exactly what we'd been indicated. It was an excellent car and the handover was simple both when collecting and returning. Unlike many hire companies there was no pressure to sell or charge more. Very happy.

In the rental shop just a short distance from the terminal, we were served by friendly, kind and helpful staff. Check-in was done in a few minutes. Returning the car was also a snap. The car - a Ford Tourneo 9 seats was in good condition, perfectly cleaned and fragrant. Very serious and friendly service. Highly recommended.

Fuel tank was not full when receiving car, company did not give any refund. After returning the car, company charged 340€ for a small damage which was already in the car before our rent. Customer service was poor from beginning to the end. I would never use this rental company again.

Atrocious, ripped me of 200 euros to not even rent me the car because they don't accept credit cards !

The car was extensively damaged. I took 44 photographs and videos lasting 1 minute 50 seconds of the damage. Yet on returning the vehicle the company or a rogue member of staff attempted to commit insurance fraud to the value of 1795 euros by charging for pre existing damage. I believe this was response to my refusal to accept the smaller vehicle. I actually don't believe that Italy Car Rent have any intention of providing the vehicle advertised as the price point is too low for the vehicle range. Fortunately my video showed the damage was pre existing. A scam company committing fraud against individuals and insurance company's on an industrial scale

I will be hiring from them again later this year.

Avoid. Flight delayed by an hour and upon landing was advised they have given our car away, so we would have to take a different specification at a higher cost.
Car then given to us exactly the same size as we had originally requested, but according to them it was classed as larger.
Quite obvious the game they’re playing. Haven’t had any help from Auto Europe to resolve it either.

We picked the car up in Catania. Once we had found the car rental office at the airport, everything was super efficient and quick. The Sat Nav was not updated so sent us on a bit of a wild goose chase for our villa, but otherwise everything was great. The drop off was very easy and quick as well. Would use them again.
