Cannot be faulted! Heat pump broke down on 1st January and 2 attempts by manufacturers failed. Instantly needed to get replacement organised. Contacted ISPlumbing and Ian carried out site visit next day.Existing system was old and needed serious upgrade. Had a quote within 48 hours, accepted and Ian fitted us in as soon as he could. 2 days of plumbers and electricians and system with problems was up and running. Unfortunately a faulty new valve caused it to fail. Within 24 hours it was up and running. All tradesmen were friendly, helpful, competent and hard working. Nothing was too much trouble even allowing for the distances that they had to travel. Well done all.

Old breaking boiler replaced by a heat pump 1 year ago. Delighted with the results so far with cheaper energy bills. Annual service completed today and again very happy. If you want the job done right then I highly recommend them!

It was the news we all don't want from the neighbour downstairs - "I think there's water coming from your flat into our bathroom". It was Sunday evening. Together we discovered that it was 99% likely to be my shower tray waste trap/unit. I called I.S Plumbing and Heating on the Monday morning because of their many many 5***** reviews.

Within an hour, a member of staff arrived (it minght have been the boss). Summarising, he applied 2 extra quarter turns to the connection between my shower tray and the actual waste pipe. I had tried the previous evening to tighten, but was scared to overtighten. This worked, as we ran my shower for about 10 minutes (upstairs) while we all waited in the downstairs bathroom for "drips". Unlike the previous night, where the dripping started after 2-3 minutes, this time there were none.

Asking around, and taking into account that I am in South Queensferry and the company is in Dunfermine, I believe the price charged was reasonable.

Therefore, I am pleased to add my 5***** review to the reviews already supplied.

Air Source Heat Pump
Very pleased with my new central heating installation and the service from start to finish was clear, professional and impressive. Ian came round to assess my suitability, house insulation, and chat through his suggestions.

Kerry than came around to calculate a heat loss estimation for each room and the whole house, and they then produced me their quotation with every component clearly itemised. I got quotations from three different installers, but none of the others took the time to properly size up the heat pump and talk through their plans before sending a quotation to me (one company quoted me for a massively oversized heat pump for what I needed). I felt far more confident in Ian and Kerry's plans so I went with them. They were very accommodating and patient whilst I waited for the Scottish government grant and loan to be approved for me before booking a date, and they were very responsive to any queries I had in the meantime.

The work took four days to remove the old night storage heaters, and install the heat pump, hot water tank, radiators and completely new pipe work, plus some electrical work needed to be done.

Ian and his team were punctual, tidy and efficient. I left them to work whilst I was out at my job each day and had no issues with their work whatsoever.

I now have a great new efficient system which is easy to control and has so far been plenty warm enough! The Vaillant has a weather sensor which automatically adjusts the output of the heat pump to maintain the temperature I want in the house. I'm very pleased and would definitely recommend these folks!

I phoned IS Heating about a faulty thermostat. Thermostat replaced and fitted within 2 hours. Friendly and efficient. Every time I've called them the service has been excellent. Would recommend to anyone

Ian and his apprentice came and looked at my leaking cistern. Ian got straight into the job and explained as he went how the leak had developed. I myself am a retired engineer and appreciated the diagnosis and repair. The work was carried out in a friendly, efficient and very professional manner. I highly recommend Ian and his “laddy” to anyone needing a fair priced and professional heating or plumbing job. 5 star.

Following my first post IS Plumbing and heating offered to replace the damaged insulation but only if I removed all my negative reviews. I have not accepted their offer and have reported them to Trustpilot. Editing is fine, make fixes dependent of removal of reviews is not acceptable practice

In addition to the issues described earlier I.S Plumbing claimed to have added inhibitor to the system, Later clarified as 500ml of Entity Inhibitor. As I no longer have any faith in them I purchased and inhibitor test kit and test 3 samples from different parts of the system. They all came back negative. I have since added enough inhibitor to treat 200 litres of water and retested the system and levels are now fine so my system is protected. If I.S Plumbing claim to have added inhibitor to your system you might want to test it.

I engaged I. S Plumbing and Heating to service my heat pump, find a leak in my heating system and install 2 radiators. The whole process from first site visit to the 4th took over one month. Wherever they touched the plumbing (5 areas) they removed the insulation and only partially replaced it in one area after my strong insistence. They even refused to repair the insulation they had removed on the external elements of the system. They claim MCS accreditation but I will be contacting MCS and asking MCS to review this. With regard to the leak, I drew their attention to what looked to be a damp area under the floor on their third visit but was told it wasn't wet. On their fourth visit they located the leak, yes, just above that damp area.
I have photo's to support all my statements.

I am currently having a problem with the heating in my Holiday home. Despite several attempts to get the manufacturer to fix it as it is under warranty to no avail.
I contacted the many plumbers and was getting no help whatsoever. I then contacted I&S to see if they could help even though the site is a considerable distance from their office. They responded in a very positive manner with no quibbling about the distance or type of boiler it is. This was the same attitude I received from them when the boiler in my house required to be replaced. They are a throughly professional company and would highly recommend them.

Phoned at 09:45 and explained that two radiators needed to be removed from the walls in our sitting room to allow other works to proceed.
Ian told me he would be with me soon, and he was.
By 10:40 both radiators were disconected and off the wall and I was paying him for the job!!
An excellent service, with no mess left behind. I'd definitely recommend Ian and his team, and will use this company again in the future.

I have just had an Air source heat pump fitted along with 9 radiators and a complete upgrade of the pipework in my home. Ian and his team completed the work in three and a half days and also arranged the electrical work. The level of workmanship and attention to detail was impressive. Punctual, polite and tidy all you can ask for in tradesmen at the top of their game.

Called at short notice and was with me within 30mins. Done the job there and then. Quick and friendly. Reassured me that he would get it fixed. He saved us money and time but doing the job himself with no extra charge. I would recommend this company 100%

I really couldn't fault the guys at IS Plumbing. Punctual, clean and tidy work and everything is working perfectly. Really happy with new boiler and the rest of the work carried out. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.
