While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Non existent customer service

Have tried to make a claim online, uploaded all the documents requested. Heard absolutely nothing. Ive chased and chased and just keep getting a standard email saying someone will be in touch. Complete rubbish do not by a policy with this company.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid. Key element of cover requested not in policy. Waited for over an hour to be put through to the most dis-interested agent ever. Unable to help, 3 days for a manager callback, 8 weeks for complaint resolution. Woeful customer service. Do yourself a favour and avoid these clowns.

Will not answer emails or calls to update my policy.

I insured my wife and I on a multi trip European insurance. Since taking out the insurance I had to have a quadruple bypass. I cancelled my holiday and waited 6 weeks before they would pay out. Following on from that I need to change my policy to add medical issues but it's impossible to get through. Their phone lines say they are busy and the lines are closing soon so you may have to call back tomorrow, this is at 11:30 in the morning and the lines close at 5:00 in the evening. I have emailed but no response. I actually want to give them money. Without the policy changes my insurance will not cover me. I've wasted my money. I am reporting them to the FSA. Unfortunately they trade under many names. I bought under Insurefor.com. Please don't use them.

DO NOT TAKE OUT INSURANCE WITH THIS …

DO NOT TAKE OUT INSURANCE WITH THIS FIRM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!
Booked a single trip travel insurance for myself and my wife last night online. Policy documents arrived in e-mail this morning. Somehow Insurfor have replaced my name with my daughter's name as the policy holder. At no time did I enter my daughter's name into any form. The only names I typed in were my own and my wife's. Ring Insurfor to be told that they can't speak to me as my daughter is the named policy holder and due to 'data protection' cannot discuss the policy with me! How can their system automatically replace my name with someone else's? It turns out that at some time in the past my daughter used them for a travel policy, and they now have substituted my daughter automatically as the policy holder, even though I never mentioned her name anywhere on the forms.
A 'manager' has also phoned me, as I requested this, but all he could do was quote 'data protection' at me and say he needed to speak to my daughter, and couldn't do anything for me. Even though I paid with a card that is in my name, that counted for nothing.
I am now left that they will have to contact my daughter outside of her working hours and take her word for it that the policy needs to be changed, or preferably cancelled, even though she never had anything to do with it in the first place! How does that comply with 'data protection'?
Thankfully I am not travelling today, as that would have been a bit of a problem. As it is, I am telling my daughter to cancel the policy and ask for a refund. Dear only knows when the refund will appear. Meanwhile, I'm going to have to waste more time going online again and find a real insurance company to get insured with.
Do not touch this company under any circumstances. Their price may look cheap online, but there's a reason for that...you get what you pay for. If they can't sort out problems now, how are they going to be of any use if you need your insurance while abroad?
