Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 182 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the customer service, citing issues with unhelpful online support, unanswered calls, and extremely long hold times. People also reported problems with receiving their physical cards, with some never getting them or experiencing deactivation of old cards before new ones arrived. The payment process was a major source of frustration, with delays in posting payments, incorrect interest charges, and difficulties disputing charges online. Some people also felt that the product itself was problematic, with cards not working at pumps and the inability to use credit cards for bill payments. Additionally, the transition to a new service provider led to concerns about account closures impacting credit scores and a general feeling of being undervalued as long-time customers.

My shell credit card was switched from…

My shell credit card was switched from Citi Bank to imprint. After reading imprints reviews, I sent multiple emails, informing them I didn't want the new card and to close my account, I kept getting emails and USPS email. They did not close my account. When I talked to them today (May14 2026) they stated they could not close the account until May 18th.It took 3hours just to talk customer service in the Philippines. This is not a company you want to do business with.

TERRIBLE experience

TERRIBLE experience; Calls to customer service phone number go unanswered . . . "sorry, no customer service agent available at this time, please call back later." Only help is a virtual agent that keeps repeating "is there anything else I can help you with," although there has been NO help whatsoever.

IMPRINT...BUYER BEWARE

¹¹¹My individual account had been active for 5+ years with no problems when it transfered from Synchrony to Imprint. Imprint placed the new account under another individual's name as owner, listing me only as an authorized user. Because the account was listed under another name and not mine, I was unable to access the account on line and restricted from correcting the error. I made 17 documented calls over a period of 6 months to customer service to resolve the issue, only to be told each time the complaint would be "escalated" to a higher source and that they would get back to me. I never received any type of response. In the meantime, information relating to my account was illegally texted by Imprint to the unauthorized user relating to balance and payments on a regular basis. I finally had to file a fraud claim directly against Imprint in order to get them to make the necessary changes. NOW I find out that my Shell Oil account is being taken over by Imprint even though I closed it over a month before the date of transfer, since I do not trust Imprint. I was still issued a new Shell card by Imprint and am getting constant texts and emails telling me how great the card is and how to activate it. I refuse to activate it, but I wonder what Imprint is doing with my personal information.

AI is completely unhelpful

AI is completely unhelpful, I am just trying to activate a new Shell card (they switched from Chase) and they can't even get a text or voice call to me. I think I will not be getting this card activated. Given this company has a 100% 1 star rating currently.

Imprint breached the credit card contract

I use Imprint for HEB in Texas. Pay on time each month. Policy stated payments POST immediately on the app and will PROCESS in 3 to 5 business days from my bank. The opposite happened. It processed in 1 day from my bank, and today, 7 days later, it still has not posted to my Imprint account. The most recent payment (4-30) has NOT posted at all but the payment was deducted (5-1) from my bank account. I called the help line and the rep said it will post today (5-6) or tomorrow. I reminded her that NOT posting allows their company to continue mounting interest based on my daily balances. She seemed helpless and just repeated that the posting will show today, May 6, 2026, or tomorrow. So far, nothing has posted today. I'll try again tomorrow, but I have a bad feeling about this company. They've breached the contract.

Fraudulent and Dirty Company

Absolute worst decision Crate & Barrel made was switching over from Synchrony to Imprint. I didn't even activate this Imprint card when it came and haven't used it. I used the no interest for 24 months on a really pricey dining set. I used to have auto pay set up with Synchrony, but due to bad reviews and knowing that Imprint is sleazy, I like to pay my card monthly to keep an eye on my balance.
I went into pay it on the due date and had issues logging into their system. They have zero online customer service so that makes it harder. The day got to a point where I was paid the cut off. I got online the day after my bill was due and paid it without issue and then noticed it...a charge for deferred interest for almost $1100. I called and was told that because I was a day late in paying, I no longer have my 0% financing until September 2026. I have never been even a day late and have been a loyal customer here for years. I pleaded with her. She put me on hold for 40 minutes saying she would try to have it removed.
I was then told she had it "escalated" and to check back later. I called back twice and was told the 3rd time that it could be days or even weeks. Are you kidding me?
I have filed a complaint with BBB and with the CFPB and I recommend anyone here having these issues do the same. I haven't spent any money with this card since they moved over to Imprint. I spent this money and agreed to the terms of this when I was with Synchrony. They have no right and, in all honesty, if they wanted to, it would have taken a couple minutes to reverse that charge, but this is a money grab. Plain and simple. Do not sign up for the CB credit card as long as they are with this POS company.

This card sucks!

I was so excited to receive a crate and barrel credit card because I had a new house and needed lots of stuff. I tried to use the card for a large transaction (that's what happens when furnishing a house); they immediately put a hold on my card and required me to upload three docs to prove I was me. I did that. The hold was removed. Then, I tried to use the card again and they put a hold AGAIN and required me to upload even MORE documents. It was insane. In an effort to be secure, Imprint forgot to ask, "What if the customer really is who she says she is?" I will NEVER use this card for another purchase again.

WORST EVER

Absolutely and unbelievably AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL COMPANY. Not one missed or late payment, no fees or interest charges, no fraud or missteps, no credit issues, etc - NOTHING - and they closed my account. No advance notice, just an email saying your account was closed. Multiple escalated calls through customer service led to no resolution and a level of incompetence I've not seen perhaps ever. I honestly would be happy to never do business with them again, but in the process, they negatively affected my credit and took away $600 in Crate & Barrel rewards I had rightfully earned. They refused to provide any satisfactory resolution, saying they could not override an account closure but truly had no valid reason for closing my account. Pure insanity. I have otherwise perfect credit and had many alternative cards where I could have earned rewards. Don't EVER do business with Imprint. It's such a shame that Crate & Barrel chose this company to partner with and they will no longer have my business or support.

Illegally stole my money!

Back in Oct. 2025, Imprint Co. took over my Crate and Barrel account. I had no say or knowledge!  CC companies sell accounts, but this one must be in some foreign country.  Since that day, it's been nothing but a scam. I found out by text messages about my new C&B credit card and to activate it.  I thought it was a scam. I already had my new card. I had made one purchase with Crate and Barrel. Then I got messages about my payment being late.  Nope, I paid my payment.  Finally, after repeatedly getting these text messages, I go to log into my account to find out what's going on.  States, I don't have an account.  I call my credit card company, Synchrony. They told me to call Imprint Co.  What a nightmare. The guy that answered was rude and wouldn't shut up. He kept talking over me. Finally, he said, don't worry about my account. Well, from missing payments, late fees, late charges, and not being able to make payments, it only got worse.  Each month I was charged for something on their end. Each month, I wasted my time by being on the phone with them.  And finally, after the rudeness, I finally asked for a supervisor. Rest assured, everything will be taken care of, that's what the supervisor told me. But I kept getting charges. That supervisor also told me that even though my payment was made on the due date, it took up to 14 days to process the payment. Therefore, it would be considered late.  WHAT? I make my payments on the date, and YOUR processing is delayed. So, YOU charge me?  That's a huge red flag!  And I did contact Crate and Barrel, but that's got nothing to do with them.  Yes, it does, it's your lender that represents YOU!  I didn't go out to Imprint for anything.  This is on Crate and Barrel!   I got fed up in Dec. and paid my account off!  ZERO Balance, other than their interest fee, to which the supervisor GUARANTEED me, no fees would be applied to my account. That was an illegal charge.  I had an interest-free account. The bank information that he said was wrong back in Oct., apparently, he illegally set that account up. Imprint Co. was taking payments out of my account illegally. I never set that account up; they did. When he said the information failed, I told him, NOT to use that information.  That I would use a different bank and use bill pay! He agreed! Illegally with a zero balance, they continued to withdraw money from my account.  WHAT COMPANY TAKES PAYMENTS ON A ZERO BALANCE ACCOUNT.  It's the worse Company EVER!  REPORT THEM!  REPORT them to BBB and anyone else!  Do not apply for a C&B credit card either.  This is who Crate and Barrel uses now! I have no clue what other store uses IMPRINT-but don't use them!

D rude customer service and removal of options to payo not get an imprint fetch credit…

Do not get an imprint fetch credit card. They have an option for banking and routing numbers and at the very bottom in big black letters. It says pay with debit or credit card, but it doesn't work and then it goes away when you try to pay it, it can stay away for days. And then when you call, they tell you can't help you, you need to go get a bank account and pay your bill. You bad person broken English rude? Do not get a fetch imprint credit card. They are scammers, they're horrible just to pay a little $7.51. It took 2 months after calling customer service after leaving messages. After calling every day for a week. Rude horrendously rude

Fraudulent Company

They took over my credit card, they botched the automatic payments twice and now they are charging thousands in penalties for their mistake. When I offered to continue making payments they wanted me to pay in full to remove the charges. What a scam!

They charged me $824 of deferred interest because of a one day late payment. Promotional period extended till 5/27. Never mentions they will charge you all of your deferred interest on a late payment only states late fee of up to $35.

I had Turkish Airlines Miles and Smiles…

I had Turkish Airlines Miles and Smiles card with them, although, they offer various co-branded credit cards.

BAD Company - you want a card, go to a bank; these NY-based people don’t care for you or anyone but themselves.
They will pull a regular inquiry (HARD-pull!) on an account anniversary - something quite unheard of in the industry where normal banks would be alright with soft-pull for the same.
Not only they would do that (non-authorized) they won’t even bother to announce it.
AND, when you’d request a cancellation of their “product” they will first promise you “a pro-rate of annual fee” but will never do that AND will report you if you DARE not to pay in full.

BAD, bad company to go with — look for alternatives; you’ve been warned.
